Bottega del Vino (located in the former Playboy Club) is world-renowned for its selection of wines, with one of the largest wine cellars in New York. Bottega's attractive decor and chalet-style interior mimick our sister restaurant Antica Bottega del Vino located in Verona, Italy.
When dining at Bottega Del Vino, you will feel transported back in time to the origins of wine making and wine drinking. Join us for a fine dining experience and an award-winning wine list.
Our restaurant offers a casual dining area for breakfast and lunch, a wine bar with over 60 wines available by the glass, a formal dining room, and two private rooms: The Verona Room and The Wine Cellar, which are available to book for private lunch and dinner parties for 2-40 persons.
"It is probably NY's only restaurant where you can have a good breakfast and outstanding lunch and dinner. We come to NY often and this the only restaurant that we repeat time and time again."

"I ordered chicken for my 6 year old son, waiter informed me that they did not have any chicken. He recommended veal instead. We ordered it for my 6 year old. When the bill came, we were charged $46 for the veal cutlet. We will never be back"

"We asked via our on-line reservation for a quiet table and we were accommodated with as much as the restaurant could provide. The service was great. The food was prepared with care and was excellent in really every respect. Perhaps the best all-over eating experience in our 5 days in Manhattan. The wine list extensive and impressive. We will definitely come here again when we return to New York next year."

"We were recommended this restaurant by a friend who visited New York last year. We certainly were not disappointed! I reserved a table as it was a celebratory meal for my 30th birthday. My mother and I were treated like princesses! We had a complementary glass of Prosecco and a cake with a candle. The food was amazing and very reasonably priced for New York and the location of the restaurant. The service could not have been better. All in all a fantastic night. Thank you so much to all the staff who made it such a special evening."

"We have dined at this restaurant on several trips to 59E59 over the years, but this experience was totally unacceptable. Service was poor. Only the bus boy was available to deliver drinks and food. The food was over priced and poor. This was a restaurant that worked for us after attending theater at 59E59. But that evening was the last. James J Sullivan"

"In NYC for business for one night and we were struggling to select one of the 100's of restaurants in our area of Rockefeller Center. So we asked our waiter while having drinks at our hotel. This was one of 3 but it turned out to be a gem for me and one of my business partners.
When we were seated service was prompt and friendly. To the point that at first we felt a little rushed and wondered if they were turning tables. But we were in the end delighted with the pacing, food, wine and the great ambiance in an area with so many tourist type restaurants. Even though it was very busy the noise level was low and we were able to have a great business conversation in a normal tone of voice."

"The food was exquisite... loved the fig smoked cheddar ravioli. They have an extensive wine list and the Venezia drink is a must try. Highly recommend this place."

"Food is consistently good and well prepared. Wine list is quite extraordinary. The front section of the restaurant serves as a sit downe bar area, and there is a lighter menu during th daytime hours.Truly a neighborhood gem, absolutely worth the visit for a true taste of excellent Italian cuisine and hospitality."

"The service at Bottega Del Vino is impeccable. The wine list is lovely. The food is authentic Italian and delicious! The prices are high but this is 5th Avenue. An excellent venue for lunch a deux or dinner with a group. Have recommended to friends from out of town and they were not disappointed. P.S. These people have traveled to Italy multiple times. Definitely visit this restaurant if you are in the neighborhood."

"we went pre-theatre for a light supper. the restaurant is very attractive and the staff is pleasant. the food is just mediocre, which was a surprise at this price point. the straciatelle might have been better if served warm or at least room temperature so that the cheese might retain some flavor - it arrived as a white, cold blob atop a few greens. the homemade fettucine served with their bolognese were heavy, thick noodles - maybe they shouldn't make them at 'home'! minestrone soup was thin - more like a vegetable broth instead of a hearty bowl. i don't think we'd return for a meal, but it's fine for a glass of wine or an espresso."

"I had an exceptional meal here Wednesday. Sensational salad of asparagus and hard boiled eggs, in mustard dressing--somehow even with good tomatoes in January. Linguine bolognese was tasty as was creme brulée and the wine (I had a relatively moderate rosso at $16 per glass) fabulous. Service was professional and Italianate but not overbearing. Also a comfortable place for a single diner with an iPad who wants to splurge on a well prepared meal and eat in peace. The only downside for me was the loud out-of-place technoish music. I;m not often in that neighborhood but was staying nearby for two nights and went back the following night for takeout filet mignon to eat in my guest room—also formidable, and a wonderful cornucopia of veggies"

"A good go to place if you are in that neighborhood. Love the asparagus salad with chicken and they have good hearty soup. Biscotti is also very tasty. The service could be better and the room is very cold. Hard to warm up. Works for a good reliable local lunch or quick coffee at the bar. Prices are reasonable and food quality is good."
