"Villa Mozart, as always, was great. The food was nicely presented and very tasty. We have been there several times and always been happy about the experience. This time, however, we do have a complaint. We were four and were given a table that really fits two comfortably. We would be okay with that if there had not been other tables for four available, but the place was not full, and there were tables for four available the entire time. No clue why we were seated at a small table. We did not let this spoil the lunch though. It was an enjoyable lunch. Villa Mozart is the best restaurant in NOVA."

"Have had both lunch and dinner there, both expensive, ($40 and $100 pp) but you get gastronomic value for your dollars. Very interesting and unique dishes using out of the ordinary ingredients. The desserts have common names but that's where familiarity ends, fantastic. They make great cocktails and have a expansive wine list. Waiters are expert in their trade and helpful with information. You dictate the dining pace. Parking is difficult, almost like being on the streets of some Italian town."

"I brought my long-time friends here for our bi-monthly dinner. Usually we convene downtown, because they hail from MD and Alexandria. But this time, they ventured to the west, and were delighted to find this gem in the center of Fairfax. The wait staff was attentive and patient with our decision making (so many great choices on the menu) and the food was terrific. The presentation was inventive, and fun.
The atmosphere was quiet, but comfortable for our girls gab session, and we never felt rushed to leave.

"We went here for a birthday dinner. We both ordered the Caprese salad for an appetizer, which was awesomely presented and tasted great. I had the hometown ravioli, which was just ok. It lacked flavor and was a little too aldente for my tastes. But my boyfriend tasted it and he liked it. My boyfriend had the filet mignon, which he loved. Both main courses were presented nicely. We had dessert too, the lemon roll and the apples strudel, both tasted good and looked lovely.The service was great. I would definitely recommend Villa Mozart for a special occasion dinner."

"First time to Villa Mozart. It came highly recommended by a friend. Since we had another event to attend, we set our reservation for 5:30, right when it opens. We were the only ones there for awhile and it was a weeknight. The service was excellent, as was the food! We had a wonderful time and the friendly staff knew we were on a tight schedule, so we were able to get in and out quickly, but still had time to relax and enjoy the restaurant. We never felt rushed. I would like to go back again when I have more time to thoroughly take it all in. 5 stars in my book!"

"This small, intimate restaurant is about quality and service. Theme is Italian, but not everyday variety. Many items on the menu looked intriguing, and everything we ordered was tasty, nicely presented, and of ample size. Our server was prompt, knowledgeable, but not obtrusive. She recommended octopus appetizer, which was beyond excellent! I'd go back just for that. We each just had a glass of wine, of which there is a limited selection (main list for bottle is much larger). The glass was a very fair amount for the price. Our reservations were early because of theatre tickets; service was pleasantly fast - no sense of being rushed - at that time of evening. This was our second visit; it was every bit as good as the first."

"We had much higher expectations of this place based on all of the amazing reviews, but could not get over the disappointment of the food. It made us wonder if we were just there on an off night, but the only part of the entire meal we enjoyed was the dessert. This is the first "Diner's Choice Award Winner" we have been to where it did not live up to expectations. What a shame, as we were celebrating our anniversary and really looking forward to an outstanding Italian meal."

"We have long been happy customers at the Villa Mozart. They consistently offer quality dishes at reasonable prices and are nestled nicely in Fairfax. However, recently we noticed an appetizer that features Foie Gras. Everything I've read about the over feeding process to fatten the ducks is abusive/inhumane. I understand that it is an individual choice to order it or not, but the inclusion of this controversial item on the menu runs counter to Mozart's other trend towards organic and free-range items. It would seem to me that a Chef that is keying in on the consumers desire for a more natural and sustainable selection would avoid this subject altogether. If they've found an abuse free method for Foie Gras, they should highlight it."

"We often choose a new restaurant for special occasions, but returned to old favorite Villa Mozart for our anniversary. Chef Pace is a master at constructing a wonderful small menu. The Mon - Thu prix fixe offerings are an amazing value. My quail stuffed with rabbit sausage will not soon be forgotten. The amuse-bouche was an exquisite small cup of polenta soup graced with black truffle oil. We look forward to our next visit."

"The Monday-Thursday special ($39 for app, pasta, dessert) was great! We all had the del mare appetizer, a pasta with seafood and the polenta soufflé. The soufflé was perfect - great chocolate sauce and a lovely raspberry sorbet. Lovely, quiet place to have a really nice meal in Fairfax."

"Every meal we've had at Villa Mozart over the years has been excellent. This time I had an arugula salad, and superbly cooked sea bass on a bed of lentils. My gf had the beef tenderloin which she said was cooked exactly as she wanted.
The service at Villa Mozart remains outstanding with that right combination of friendly and gracious. I overheard a table of first-timers seated near us remarking on how nice their meal and the service were.
We'll be back."

"Food was very good. Service was attentive, although something happened with our order and it was delayed. Would go there again. However, the table next to us had a 10 year old boy and they acted like they were at Applebee's. Very loud, both the parents and the child. We didn't get to enjoy the ambiance..."

"While there were not a lot of options on the menu, both of our dishes were great. The dinning room is kind of small and tables spaced close to each other, but they didn't seem to sit people next to other groups so the noise was at a decent level to carry a conversation. Overall, we had a great experience and will be returning"

"A lovely quiet restaurant with consistently excellent food and attentive service. Good for lunch--the prix fixe deal is amazing! And for special occasion dinners. The soups are wonderfully nuanced in flavor and texture, the pasta sauces are bright and unmuddied, the desserts are perfect--all of them! Everything understated. I love this place and have been many times and always enjoy myself."

"Villa Mozart is our go to place for a special evening. The food and service are exceptional. The waiters are probably the most professional waiters you will meet in Northern Virginia, excellent timing, attention, and respect for the diners private time. And as an Italian, I can vouch for the authenticity of the food. When these folks say Italian, they know what they are talking about. Bravo"

"It was hard to get reservations, even on a Wednesday night, because the restaurant offers a 3 course fixed price menu Monday through Thursday that includes everything on the regular menu, as well as the specials. I chose the three course pasta meal, and my cauliflower and scallop soup was superb, as was the night's pasta special of linguini with salmon, rockfish, and olives. My husband enjoyed his beautifully presented calamari dish but was not as pleased with the beef entree. The tiramisu ended the evening perfectly. Our waiter was attentive but did not hover and he was knowledgeable about the food ingredients and the wine. Although the restaurant was completely full, the noise level was soft enough for conversation. We'll go back!"

"This is the second time we have visited Villa Mozart and we will go again. This is a restaurant we will visit again. The wait staff and very good always attentive and the food is delicious and very well presented. The restaurant itself is a quiet and lovely atmosphere a find in the middle of Fairfax."

"Honestly, it was my fault for booking the wrong date for our reservation, but let me tell you how bad the service was. I was trying to me "romantic" by taking charge of wanting to spoil my boyfriend to dinner for Valentines day, but didn't happen. There's no body at the front to greet you once you walk in. I had to flag someone down to say that I have an reservation (thought that I did), but instead of being at least genuine, the "server/greeter" was arguing with me saying that they don't take reservations at a time that I thought I booked it. After I insisted that I booked through open table, a woman, who I am assuming is the owner, claimed "we haven't been taking reservations through open table over a month..."! Overall... POOR!"
