We are an interactive culinary environment.
At our restaurant we create and interpret the culinary ideas inspired from different cultures, products, and techniques. Our always evolving menu is a result of the interaction and interchange of different experiences.
An open kitchen, eclectic and without limitations.
Because we enjoy to cook.
Historically cooking evolved through the interaction and exchange of cultures. Through this premise and advances in technology our project, Cocina Abierta, was born, designed for the sharing and development for our passion.
Cocina Abierta is a restaurant, boutique deli, and school.
"I've come to this restaurant before (like 4 times) and had a great time, but in this occasion the food was delayed for 2 hours. The problem is that in a party of 4, 3 were having dinner here for the first time, so the disaster with the food timing was so bad that I even had a hard time convincing myself of returning to the place, lets not say anything about the other 3 people. The blame was put by the manager on the kitchen and a new pre-fixed menu they were offering. A pretty bad move or bad planning if it was true. And one of the plates came cold...after 2 hours of waiting. Also, I made a reservation through OpenTable and they didn't honored it...I was not on any list of reservations."

"This time my favorite dish at this restaurant, which is the duck mofongo, was not right. There seemed to be an excess of some condiment or herb that was too strong and spoiled this great dish. The ham and manchego cheese croquetas were excellent, as was the moroccan chicken. Service was better than usual. Although hugely disappointed by the duck mofongo, I will be back."

"Excellent food the Mediterranean Chicken Phyllo pie was to die for! The fries with the hamburger were so tasty and delicate too!! Loved the food and service was amiable and efficient, I strongly recommend it.Would not sit outdoors since there is loud Musac from the neighboring locales."

"I had heard lots of good things about this restaurant. It was nice, but very small. The tables are very close together. I went on a date and felt like I couldn't talk freely because the couple next to us was practically seated at the same table. The food was OK, I expeted better. Pricey for what it really is. It was fine to go just once, but wouldn't go again."

"Tucked out in the quiet neighborhood of Guaynabo, Cocina Abierta offers an astonishing array of creative dishes. The execution of Chef Martin Louzao and his team of talented chefs is on point. From the presentation to the combination of flavors and ingredients, Cocina Abierta offers an extraordinary experience. Highly recommended!"
