Dynamic menu of original Southern Italian cuisine that dominates this welcome addition to Hell’s Kitchen. This addition is made even more welcome with the breathtaking beautiful transformation of a once historic space into a hip, fun, stop for dinner that any gourmand will savor.
Formerly, known as Film Center Cafe, Bocca Di Bacco boasts Italian cuisine from Puglia, Sicily, and Sardegna with the endless selection of wines from small vineyards in Italy. Exemplifying our policy of being “Farm to Table” operated, we use the healthiest ingredients from locally grown vendors. Located in the heart of the Theater District, this new modernized restaurant features innovative new recipes and the use of the Enomatic Wine Systems.
"Bocca Di Bacco was a great find. The food was delicious, the service was great, the menu was varied, and the price reasonable. I have already told so many people and Bocca Di Bacco will be a must whenever we go to NYC theatre district."

"The food was wonderful. Our waiter was extremely helpful and the prices were very reasonable, especially for that part of town. We'll definitely be back."

"We arrived on time (even a couple of minutes early) for our reservation, and were promptly seated at a bar table. The hostess said this was the only table available. If a restaurant accepts a reservation and the party arrives on time, they should not be seated at a bar table where you have to sit on stools with no backs. We did not make a stink, btu the evening only got worse. We had a 6:30 reservation and 8:00 theatre tickets, so we each order a pasta dish. After waiting over 30 minutes for the food to come after we ordered, we finally asked where our food was to which the waiter repliedc"it's coming". Another 15 minutes later, the food arrived (we're pretty sure they had forgotten about us). The apology from the manager was laughable."

"Perfect pre-theater spot. The food and service were terrific, and the wine list is excellent and reasonably priced. We get so tired of being gouged at restaurants by their over-priced wine list, but that did not happen at Bocca di Bacco. The restaurant is very attractive. We will definitely return."

"We did not know what to expect. There have been mixed reviews. We were please with the service and food. It was noisy even at 6:30 (Pre-theater) on a Saturday night. Would come back"

"Ate brunch here with a friend on Sunday before a show. "Can't just a restaurant by its menu" is what my friend said. Though the decor is nice, it was much, much too load for us. I enjoyed my Eggs Benedict, but my friend's hamburger was over done and dry."

"I'd rate this as a good but not great restaurant. The mixed green salad had a tasty dressing but was otherwise nothing special. For an entree I ordered the squid ink pasta with lump crab meat and arugula . Again, it was good but not great; it seemed to be missing 'something.' perhaps a splash of tarragon vinegar or truffle oil would have made it more interesting. I probably won't return, simply because the food lacked the 'sparkle' that makes for a great dining experience."

"This was our first time at this restaurant. We had theater tickets, so we were eating early. The noise level was unacceptable. It required me to shout across a small table to my husband and it really soured the experience of dining. It was very hectic, there was a crying baby at a nearby table.
We will not go there again. While the food was ok, I know there are other restaurants in the theater district that have as good or better food and a much better ambiance."

"Varied and extensive menu--something for everyone. Very pleased with quality of food. Attractive, comfortable decor; but service was a bit slow. Be sure to tell them if you have a limited time to get to the theater. Music could have been a bit less club-like to facilitate conversation."

"Food was really good, well prepared and nicely presented. The atmosphere is a little cold because of the bare wood seating and lack of color in the decor. The service was very good."

"The decor was warm and i really wanted to like this place My arugula salad was nice. It hit the spot. My steak was chewy and flavorless. I had the mashed potatoes on the side and they brought it on a huge dish rather than a side dish...just took up table space. My friend had the tortellini which she said was delicious. The service was very good. If I go back, I'll get the tortellini."

"Bocca Di Bacco has great wait staff and a friendly staff. The food is excellent and there is something on that menu for everyone. I usually dine at the location on 54th street/9th ave., but the manager/host Amin made us feel very welcome and I would dine here again in a heartbeat. It is nice to see that in these modern times, that there are eating establishments who still remember good customer service along with excellent food at affarordable prices!!!"

"We had brunch on Sunday afternoon pre-theater. The food was outstanding and well prepared. Each of the four of us tried something different and all dishes were excellent. This restaurant is perfect for a a pre-theater meal. The wine list was extensive with many choices."

"We ate at Bocca Di Bacco pre-theatre show on a Tuesday so the restaurant was quiet but it had a great feel - filled with late afternoon sunshine.Love the decor also. The service was wonderful and food likewise. Highly recommend - especially if you are going to Broadway. Great bar area too!"

"I was on a business trip. My beautiful wife accompanied me. Rather than settle for Marriott food, we escaped. La Bocca was recommended by some of our NY friends due to its close location to our hotel. Since we are from New Orleans, they wanted to us .experience something different than what we could get in our city. So many things on the menu and only could chose a few. We were not disappointed. Our waiter Sergio was outstanding."

"Better than the average theatre district italian. I would give it 4 stars for food except the mussels we ordered for an appetizer were barely warm. Reasonable and a very attractive atmosphere. Definitely will go again."

"Our party of 6 discriminating adults were all very satisfied. Salads and eggplant appetizer were above standard. Three fish entrees, halibut special red snapper and branzino were all prepared beautifully and the pasta dishes were as delicious as any top restaurant in Italy! With little room left for dessert, we tried the saffron crime brûlée, profiteroles and chocolate lava cake, which left us all smiling. Our server indulged us with a complimentary round of sambucca. We look forward to another terrific meal. If we could change one thing, the temperature inside was too warm."

"Really enjoyed the dinner at BdB. Good cocktails, apps and entres. I had tried the new one in Chelsea and thoroughly enjoyed, so when I was in midtown for for theatre, decided to try that location. Highly recommend."

"The last time we ate at Bocca we were so impressed we could not wait to return. This visit was, unfortunately, a bit of a disappointment. The sauces on our four pasta dishes all tasted a bit "off'. And it took an exceedingly long time for the dessert course to arrive, making our trip to the theatre a bit hurried. We will try it once more to see whether this most recent visit was an anomaly, becuase the first time was such a treat."
