"Went here for the second time, and brought my mom and brother along for Mother's Day. The food and experience was just as good as last time, but we were impressed by the friendly and hard-working staff. Our waitress, Stella, made the experience all the better, giving us top-notch service while juggling a couple of other tables. Greek Flame Taverna is one of my family's, and my, favorites now and you'd be hard pressed to find better value for their prices anywhere in town."

"Great family run dinner spot for Greek food. The tomato and feta appetizer was delicious. The lamb shank entre was superb. Definitely worth a visit.
Like many Florida restaurants, it's tucked in a strip mall, so look carefully and you'll find it."

"First impression: the succulent and big cubs of lamb kebob let us without words. Once we find this family little restaurant and enjoyed the delicious meal, Greek Flame became as a bijoux that we will not let it go. For starters, we had the excellent black mussels. As a main course, we had lamb kebab and fresh divers scallops over the mix vegetables. In addition, we were impressed by the presentation of the plates and our grilled vegetables : eggplant, zucchini, green pepper, tomatoes and other were fresh grilled. Everything came in a perfect timing and our sweet waitress never escaped us from her eyes. As a result, me and my wife had a perfect romantic dinner in Greek Flame Taverna Restaurant. It's the best in town!"

"In a sea of overpriced chain restaurants, Greek Flame is a life raft. Privately-owned, understated, and with excellent food. Our server, Stella, was terrific. She has a background working on cruise ships, and that background shines through. Focused wine list--all Greek--with high quality wines versus the typical Rodidys. We ordered saganaki (flaming cheese) and a meat platter for 2. It was more than enough for our party of 3. The chicken and lamb kabobs were tender, the loin chops and roast lamb were expertly prepared, but the gyros stood out. It melted in your mouth! And the Greek custard dessert was the perfect way to end our meal."

"Excellent service and food. Presentation of the food, was exceptional. The stuffed grape vine leaves, spinach pie and the pita bread with sauces for starters was heavenly. A great start for feeling you are in Greece. The leg of lamb, the special Maria's Chicken was exceptional. Lots of Greek wines offered. Having a bad day, a great place to unwind and enjoy the day. All the servers helped each other. Amazing to see a great team working together. This will be my home away from home. Fantastic restaurant!!!!!"

"By NY standards this place is mediocre at best. Quality foods and ingredients are not being used. Fish based spreads were fishy. Calamari was too small and chewy. Olive oil was not extra virgin olive, it was blended or pomace. Whole fish lacked freshness and not cooked to perfection. The other reviews are way overrated."

"There were six in our party and Stella, our server, handled us well. Always amazing to me when a waitress takes your order and doesn't write anything down, and when it comes, everything is right and placed in front of the right person. Only disappointing factor was (as we were told) there was a big wedding reception held there over the weekend (we were there on a Tues. night), and after consuming a great bottle of wine, and wanting to order a second, they were "out of" that wine. Food was good, price for party of six who ordered 4 appetizers, 2 bottles + 1 glass of wine, and 4 desserts, was amazingly moderate. If you like true, traditional Greek food, this is the place to be."

"We went with great expectations, but found the food boring. The lemon chicken soup was thin, flavorless; it lacked any of the rich texture and lemony flavor that good Avgolemono soup should have. The stuffed grape leaves were so-so. The lemon potatoes again lacked that lemony flavor, didn't have that great "skin" and were soggy. The Gyros meat was flavorful, our positive for the night. The server was nice, but distracted: three requests to get anything. With each dish we asked for lemons -- since the flavor seemed to be missing. She finally brought out one wedge and admitted they didn't have much lemon left after a large event the weekend before."

"We love Greek food, and finding this restaurant in the neighborhood was a good find.
Overall the food was very good.The appetizers were excellent and the fish was good, although we had to ask for more lemons twice as they seemed to be quite rare.
The only criticism is that the Greek salad was really lame, and a good Greek restaurant should have a great Greek salad!!"

"The food and service were excellent - they grow their own tomatoes and spices on the patio - everything is made from scratch and healthy. The staff is wonderful and the owners / chiefs are out in the dining room and quite available to their customers. Heated up the leftover which were delish, even on the second day. Their salad dressing is excellent and they even make their own hot sauce. This is a real gem with the owners having a background for many years in making their own food and serving the public. There is a reason why this restaurant has a Zarat rating - it really deserves it. Would recommend this place to everyone, and we will return !!!!"

"If we had been alone, we would have gotten up and left. We go to Greece a lot and know good Greek food. My wife's salad was poor; it had no flavor and a weak dressing. There was no spoon to use to place it on the salad and it took 15 minutes and several requests to finally get one. The salad was supposed to include lamb souvlaki which was not given and had to be reordered, arriving well after all the other food was served. We ordered wine; what we requested was not available. They offered something else instead, upcharging $10 which I refused. The wine we did finally order arrived warm. I asked for an ice bucket which was brought without ice. My chicken souvlaki was also poor...no vegetables just dried chicken on a stick."

"We really enjoyed our dinner at Greek Flame. The service excelled...the best ever, "Stella"...WOW she hit a HR. The meat grape leaves app were homemade and the very best I've had anywhere. "Great food, wine and atmosphere. Very quaint location. It was Valentine's Day and you could tell the service staff was stretched. No worries, we were not in a hurry. The food was unique, prepared as asked for and the wine pairings were spot on.

"The food seemed more authentic Greek. The menu goes beyond the typical local Greek restaurant. It's in a slightly upscale with table clothes. We came from across town and it was worth it. Delicious grilled octopus, soups, plus a chefs lobster special that night. The lamb was great."

"This was our first visit. We enjoyed the food and the service. Our server was the owner’s daughter and she was a gem. She was very knowledgeable, energetic and attentive. She indicated she really enjoys her job and it showed. The food was very good. Not like any other Greek food we have consumed. It is more like mama's home cooking type of Greek food. If you are tired of breaded and fried Calamari then try their grilled Calamari. Yum! Also, their home made salad dressing must not be missed. Next time we are in the Orlando area this will be one of our top dining stops."

"Family owned and run restaurant . The food was traditional Greek cuisine with not too large a menu to choose from, really reminded me of what we ate and enjoyed while traveling in Greece. Our server was the owners daughter, the parents were busy cooking, and she provided a fun, friendly and of course knowledgeable service. Turns out she also prepared some of what we ate, the moussaka and desserts, earlier in the day. We had a fabulous evening and recommend this restaurant to anyone who likes authentic Greek cuisine."

"If you are someone who loves Greek food and wine, this is a great choice. It is exciting to see a good GREEK wine list in a Greek restaurant. Side note, the Mousakka and the lamb loin were both fabulous! I will return when I am in Orlando again."
