"Mother's Day dinner was extremely disappointing, poor service and lack of formality. Our waiter did not give us a full list of specials (forgot the soft-shell crabs)--found out when he listed the specials to the next table after we ordered. We never saw our waiter again after ordering. We waited about 20 mins to see a dessert menu, which we declined and asked for the check (gave a 15% tip. My wife and I have dined here before and found LuNello to be warm, romantic, and a great for a casual dinner or special occasion. Half of the restaurant was dressed like they were eating at Friday's, and just as loud! Food, service, and ambiance are much better at Scalini Fedeli in Chatam."

"We had a wonderful meal on Easter at LuNello's. We had heard good things about this restaurant, and we were not disappointed. From the chicken to the fish, all the plates were delicious. Service was a little slow, but I chalked that up to the holiday crowd.
Salads were fresh, the meal entree was excellent and even the ice cream and sorbet was excellent. I highly recommend this place for an enjoyable evening meal."

"I have heard of LuNello's on multiple occasions and finnaly made my way there on a Tuesday evening. The restaurant seating area is a large open room that could get a bit noisy. That didn't bother me one bit. Although this is a 25 Zagat rated restaurant for food I found that rating to be highly inflated. I ordered a stuffed veal chop and found the dish to be average at best. My guests ordered two pasta dishes that were both highly recommended by the waiter. One was a white clam sauce dish and the dish while said to be a house specialty was heavily over salted. A colossal disappointment. The second dish was a papardelle and mushroom dish and that dish was average at best and the pasta was overcooked. A $200 mistake!"
