The Parson's Table
Not only can you get a juicy roast prime rib at The Parson"s Table, but you can eat it inside a church, too. The location remains very much the same structure that it was in 1885, when Little River Methodist Church was built. The cherished establishment first opened its church doors as a restaurant in the late 1970's and has been serving exquisite American steakhouse fare ever since. The restaurant's decor is positively Southern-charm antique, complete with dark wooden walls, stained glass windows and an original Tiffany glass lamp in the main dining room. An award winning wine list graces The Parson's Table as well as an outstanding fresh seafood selection.

"This is an exceptional restaurant in the North Myrtle Beach (NMB) area (Little River). We had just moved to North Carolina and had seen this restaurant on a couple of trips to NMB. We read the reviews which for the most part were excellent and it turned out they were well deserved. The restaurant itself is unique. The service was first class from the hostess to the waiter. The prices for this level of dining and service were very reasonable. We had a combination of beef, seafood and poultry meals and all were excellent. We originally thought this would be a special occasion restaurant for us but we will now come here after all our trips down to NMB."

"This dining experience was a delight. It is about a twenty minute drive from myrtle beach ...and worth it. The menu has a variety of dishes from which to choose. The appetizers of soft shell crab and She crab soup were excellent. The cornbread served with the meal was a real treat and our main courses of ribeye and salmon were delicious. What a gem for discerning diners."

"This was my first visit to the Parsons Table after hearing friends rave about the restaurant. The restaurant was very quaint and decorated beautifully, the service was very good. We had the brie appetizer which was excellent. However the main courses were seriously lacking. I had the pecan chicken which was very bland. My dining companions had the lamb which was good, the prime rib which was expensive and while cooked medium, extremely dry and not much taste. the fourth person had the sheepshead fish over seafood risoto. The fish was rather small and with ony 1 small piece of shrimp I would hardly call it " seafood risoto ". Was also pricey for the amount of food.

"The salad dressing was so good, that we had to take a jar home with us! THe seafood Pesto was average and not was I expected but the Lamb chops were to die for. The She crab soup is good and recommended. The cream cheese cracker spread was delicious and goes great with any wine. Recommended drink would be the French Martini. Bread Pudding and Tiramisu were spot on."

"This was our second visit to The Parson's Table with our first being in Oct. 2012. We had a friend suggest it last year and we are so glad he did. We have enjoyed the food each time we've been. The house salad is great. Food is cooked to perfection. Wine list has all our favorites. This will be one of our regular restaurant stops when we visit N. Myrtle Beach."

"My husband and I came here based on the good reviews and a well-known chef. We love to travel and eat at as many top spots as possible. The Parson's Table is so delicious!! The prime rib is one of the best we've ever had! I had the special, which is a Cobia fillet over seafood risotto. It was amazing!! From the appetizers to the dessert, it was excellent! I can't wait to go back!!"

"This was a meal to remember! The restaurant is a quiet little gem. From the outside you would never guess what awaits inside. The stained glass windows were fabulous. The tables and chairs were a rustic colonial design. But, the food and the service were incredible! My steak was done perfectly. The pepper crust was just enough--not at all overbearing--but flavorful. The salads are prepared at the table with local vegetables. My husband had a shrimp and scallop dish that was creamy with large fresly caught sea scallops and jumbo sweet shrimp. This was the meal we will remember from our trip to Myrtle Beach."

"We had reservations for a Monday evening. From the bartender (who was also serving as host) our experience was fabulous. We had a cocktail at the bar and the bartender was very informative with the menu and gave us some great information. Our dinner was great -- from the seared tuna and oysters rockefeller, rack of lamb and duck, and we even had dessert,chocolate mousse and key lime pie. The food was prepared just like we asked and the sides were great. Our waiter, Sam, was very attentive and answered a lot of questions my husband had about beer pairings with his meal. The chef came around to make sure everything was okay. Definitely a must visit when in Myrtle Beach. We will definitely be back."

"Seating before 5:45 entitles you to order the Early Bird specials. The specials are an excellent value as is a drink at the bar before dinner. This makes The Parson's Table very affordable for early diners. Our waiter was familiar with the menu and attentive without "hovering". We found The Parson's Table to be an enjoyable adult setting; our group will return."

"One of the best restaurants in the Myrtle beach area. It tops the brentwood, Greg Normans, and even Ruth Criss.
We are lucky that it is located in Little River which is only a ten minute drive from Sunset Beach, N.C. Thank you Open table for the service that you provide. It beats the heck out of attempting to call the restaurant and actually catching a human to reserve a table. What a great service. No hassles. Thanks."
