"Six of us went to Ruth's for a special occasion to be let down with the food quality. Both my filet and my wife's were tough and filled with grissle. In the past it was so tender you could almost cut it with a fork The asparagus was undercooked and was to include hollandaise sauce, but it did not. For nearly $400 including tip, it was a joke. I left a note with the bill and we waited for another 20 minutes someone to at least apologize, but not one word from the staff or chef, who by the way just wandered around the restaurant during our stay and stood by the front door along with another 6 employees as we departed. I did not want to mention anything after tasting the meal out of embarrasment for all. DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY!"

"We had never dined at Ruth's Chris, since my husband was put off by the name and that it was a chain. But we were celebrating a graduation, thought it might be a special place to take the family and were impressed. Two servers quickly refilled beverages and handled requests. Due to large portions, everyone split a salad and steak. Steaks were tender, flavorful and cooked to perfection. We enjoyed the sweet potatoes (so sweet they could have been a dessert), mashed potatoes and asparagus. Our server encouraged us not to get the chocolate sin cake, because it was just "too rich and chocolaty." I didn't know that was possible & loved every bite. Be sure to mention it it's a special occasion; they decorated the table and comped the dessert."

"We had a wonderful evening--food was prepared perfectly. The best calamari ever, onion rings were exceptional and our steaks were to perfection. Don't want to forget the spinach, which I loved. Thank you for such a nice evening."

"We expected the food to be good and were not disappointed. I mistakenly ordered a lobster bisque thinking I was getting a lobster tail, and when the bisque arrived, I made a slight groan which the kitchen staff and our waiter picked up on right away...they quickly had the bisque on the way out, and within 3 minutes a nicely grilled lobster tail appeared. It was surely meant for another patron, but Jeff explained that it wouldn't disrupt any flow. We very much appreciated the gesture, and it made our dinner as enjoyable as we thought it would be. That is the sign of a quality staff and organization! Doing it right when something goes wrong, even when it isn't their fault!"

"Our 2nd time to RC. Our first was at their Vegas location, which was as good as their SLC location, food and service-wise, but also had an amazingly romantic ambience. In Vegas we but indulged in the porterhouse and good bottle of wine. That steak still stands as the best I've ever had, period. Last Friday, we had salads in SLC that were the best we've ever tasted. Yes, a world-class salad at RC! We were both pleasantly surprised, didn't know you could get amazing salad at RC, as well, for under $10, mind you. My wife enjoyed medallions and shrimp for her entree; I, the ribeye. We shared a side of potatoes au gratin, and cheesecake for dessert (brought our own Cabernet). And everything was exceptional! But those salads? Unforgettable!"

"Went for my wife's birthday and this was our first time dining at Ruth's Chris. This is a wonderful place. Ths waiter greeted us by our names. The ribeye was the best steak I have ever had and so tender you could almost cut it with a fork. My wife's filet was delicious and cooked just right. The waiter brought us a complimentary tasty dessert for her birthday. Can't wait to go back."

"It has been a while since I have been to any Ruth's Chris, and my first time to this location in Salt Lake City. I typically don't like chains, regardless of what kind of food. Had some guests in town that love steaks, so thought I'd give it a try, and everything, from valet (remembered my name) to initial greetings at host counter, to wait staff was superb. Food was outstanding, and we were checked on minutes after delivery of the steaks to ensure that they were cooked right. Nothing I would change about the experience."
