"The ambiance was pleasant, and the service very nice. The calamari was "uninspired" except for the alioli sauce. The pasta & sausage was quite good, but the menu did not indicate that it is fairly spicy. Unfortunately, the $25 lamb steak was seriously lacking. It was tough, gristly, and overcooked (not medium-rare as requested)- lamb chops would probably be a better choice (more consistent and easier to cook). The desserts were good, but not exceptional, and the cannoli was rather thick/tough."

"This was my wife's and my first time dining at Pesce Fresco. One of the main reasons for choosing this restaurant is because they had Truffle Oil Fries on their appetizer menu. Those bring back memories for her and I with other dining experiences.
The greeting was cordial and nice, seating was great, wait staff excellent.
We ordered the Parmesan Truffle Fries and polished them all off! They were prepared with the skin (my favorite) with a nice hint of truffle oil and sprinkled with Parmesan cheese. I ordered the Fresco salad that was so fresh and had nicely grated radish, carrot, cucumber and cherry tomatoes.
For our entree my wife ordered the Beef Tenderloin and I ordered the special of the day, Grilled Swordfish. Both were exc"

"I miss the former owners who always greeted you and came by to see how things were. I saw one of the present owners in the bar but she never greeted or spoke to us. Those personal touches mean a lot, especially in a small restaurant. I hope they make it, but there were very few people in the place when we were there."

Pesce Fresco is consistently terrific when it comes to food and pretty reasonably priced for a surprisingly upscale dining experience in an out of the way strip mall in the burbs. "We brought a couple of friends out for restaurant week and had a fantastic meal. I ordered the salmon and my husband ordered the seafood stew. My salmon was phenomenal. I hesitantly shared a bite with my husband as I wanted it all for myself! He loved his meal as well and the bite he shared with me was delicious. The restaurant was lovely and felt cozy. "The restaurant was packed for Denver Restaurant Week, but the food was worth the wait. The calamari was light and tender rather than the chewy version found elsewhere. In fact, the chefs elevated familiar dishes as shrimp scampi and ravioli into dishes worthy of a special night out with a richness that encourages savoring leaving you with warm satisfaction. Also, the waiter-recommended wine paired well with the entire meal, to include desert. Definitely one of our faves for seafood and wine."

"The atmosphere of the evening was quite festive as the restaurant was filled with a crowd looking for a fun night out with friends. (My hubby thought a group of about 10 was obnoxiously loud, but it's difficult for a group of 10 to be quiet.) The server was quite good, attentive but not overly intrusive or absent. The food was good. The calamari was nothing special, but good. I did think zuppa de Mar (or something like that) was definitely better than average. It was flavorful with just the right amount of spice. The bread was oh so yummy - moist and chewy on the inside with a slightly crunchy crust. The chocolate cannolis were good."

"We have been there several times and were disappointed. The wait for our entree was long and Matthew did what he could to keep us comfortable. When our food arrived it was very bland looking. So much butter was put on the beef tenderloin it dripped down my chin and spotted my new blouse. The potatoes were a tad over deep fried. Certainly disppointed compared to the other meals we have had there and the food was delectable."

Our waiter downplayed the 5280 menu. 'Upsell items' were strongly recommended. So 5 of us took the upsell entree(at a $7 add'l charge) Their 5280 menu was a 3 course dinner, with 1 course (appetizer) shared - BUT OF COURSE FOR AN ADDITIONAL CHARGE you could order a salad. When the bill arrived, it was IMPOSSIBLE to figure it out. Receipt showed charges for the dessert (PLUS an extra dessert that we didn't order); the salad; and the appetizer. In the end, other than the extra dessert the bill was right, but it was very CONFUSING & very EXPENSIVE"

"We went on a Saturday night and the place was buzzing. We had fairly early reservations, and got our table right away. The crowd swelled about 8pm and I was thinking that perhaps people were coming in after an early movie. Every table was full! The place has a busy, but glamorous ambiance. We were there for the start of Denver Restaurant Week, and ordered off the $52.80 menu. The Baked Crab and Baby Artichokes appetizer was so good my eyes were practically rolling back in my head! The entrees were also delicious and the portion sizes were just right – not too large. You'll want to save room for the dessert here because the tiramisu is done right at Pesce Fresco!"

"I found out about this place because of Restaurant.com and it was close to work. I went there for lunch.
Although the ambiance was charming and the food (at least mine) was great, the awful attitude of our server really marred the experience for me. Everything about her manner made it clear she didn't want to be serving and couldn't care less about us. There was no sense of helpfulness, very little checking in, hardly a smile and it took forever for her to finally get around to taking our order."

"Great food as always. I couldn't give a 5 star this time as the Duck Gnocchi was a tad salty especially toward the bottom of the dish where there was a little more of the Marsala sauce. The Lobster Ravoli was excellent. We took home a piece of Tiramisu to enjoy a little later in the evening . SO, so good. YUM! This is my favorite restaurant to bring friends and celebrate special occasions."

"This used to be a delicious and charming restaurant until it went under new management two years ago. Service is very good but the food is subpar now. They treat regulars well but don't acknowledge anyone else!!! We didn't get a goodbye or thank you. Sadly, we won't return. Stay home!!!"

"This was our first time at this restaurant, and I looked forward to spending Valentines with my wife here. Pesco Fresco created a fixed menu for the occasion. There was a couple of selections to choose from for each course, and everything was prepared well. When then the check came at the end, I practically fell out of my chair. For the two of us, the bill was $160.00 (not including tip). We each had one glass of wine, but otherwise this was the price of admission on Valentines. Their regular menu prices seemed reasonable when I looked online. I didn't realize (nor did the people next to us) that they would only offer a fixed menu, and then gouge you at the end because it was Valentines. We won't be going back to Pesco Fresco again."
