"While I have not eaten in every restaurant in NC I've never been to one that had superb food with an extraordinary wine list and service with a view and ambiance that is unmatched. Farrington House comes close and so do others like The Lantern in Chapel Hill but nowhere do they have the entire package ."

"This was a wonderful dining experience--good food and exceptional ambiance. My only complaint would be the tiny serving of wine for $13. I had the filet that was cooked perfectly and the other people in my party had the halibut. Entrees had great presentation.
The decor was beautiful, and the location of the restaurant was divine--right next to a stream. A perfect place for a special occasion or a romantic dinner."

"It was our first time dining since they have moved into the new space. Incredible! As far as dining in the High Country they definitely have the nicest restaurant. The food is very well prepared. Great flavors, great variety, and top notch ingredients. Thanks for a great dining experience!"

"We had a memorable experience yet again. My husband and I continue to be impressed with the attention to detail that we see towards the preparation and presentation of the food. "I dined at Artisinal on Saturday evening to celebrate my birthday. My family could not have picked a better spot! Everything - I mean everyTHING - was orchestrated beautifully from the moment we stepped out of our car to the last bite of delicious dessert. The attention to detail instantly presented through the impeccable decor is just the icing on the cake. The service was delightful. I could not sing higher praises of Artisinal. I cannot wait to find another reason to get up to Banner Elk to dine there again!"

"Artisanal is a rare and wonderful dining experience situated in the NC high country. It's located outside the town of Banner Elk in Diamond Creek community. The space is rustic and elegant at the same time. Despite the country club setting, artisanal's staff is incredibly warm and knowledgable. Enough blah blah. This place is foodie heaven! The chef and his amazing staff know how to delight their patrons. This restaurant may NC's best kept secret!"
