"Arrived looking for special food event. Left disappointed. Scallops so salty could not eat. Food served to table and left sitting while my guest was away from table. Hamburger ordered medium, delivered rare. Tuna tartare cut poorly served on huge glob of avocado. Ambiance was really fun, great drinks. Hope to return to enjoy a better food event. Maybe the main chef was absent on our night?"

"Our waitress was great and gave very good direction as to what the items on the menu were. The appetizers were awesome (kale and beet salad was our favorite, the chickpea pinasse also very good). Entrees were very good and portions were just right. Desserts - wonderful. Chocolate chip cookie w/ icecream is huge, can be shared by 2 ppl, and the plum tarte was excellent as well. Great overall experience, both in atmosphere and food."

"We have eaten at North many times and have always enjoyed it. However, this time we were disappointed. My husband's appetizer of mushroom flat bread was burnt and the mushrooms were very dry. My tuna tartare was good. I had the strip steak. The sauce was very salty, the Jerusalem artichokes were burnt and I couldn't find one morel on the plate. The steak itself was very grisly. I usually don't order steak in a restaurant with the wonderful menu that North has, but I was looking forward to the Jerusalem artichokes, morels and parsnip puree. I was very unhappy."

"This restaurant had been recommended to us. Overall I would say it was good. The food was tasty although my husband said "his mom does a better job" with the entree he had (suckling pig). My fish was a little overcooked and served on a very sweet cauliflower puree, which I didn't love (too sweet). We were seated upstairs (highly recommend - downstairs is very loud!) but our table was right in the main corridor of many servers running back and fourth all the time so we felt disturbed. Also, the air conditioner was blowing right on our table. The service was attentive but she had a little bit of an attitude. Can't exactly put my finger on what it was but she seemed annoyed to serve us. Overall they tried. Good but unlikely to return."

"Makes a good martini and the tuna tartar was wonderful. The warm chocolate chip cookie dessert was absolutely sinful. Too bad we didn't stop at that. Unfortunately, the osso buco was tasteless, the pig presentation was confusing - what was the meat and what was the potato. Although the scallops were large and tasted fresh, the common spice used in all the entrees was too much salt. The waitstaff was attentive but that was not enough. The menu changes daily so perhaps it was just not to our liking. If you do go, be sure to sit upstairs if you wish to talk with the people you are dining with. Downstairs definitely has more energy and vibe. If the restaurant wasn't so hyped, we wouldn't have been as disappointed."

"Another wonderful experience start to finish at North. Our food was amazing, per Kim the mangers suggestion I ordered the Pork Confit, it was beyond super. Moist, flavorful and crisped on top to perfection served over a cool chick pea salad that only enhanced the dish. Steak and Chicken for dinner also super yummy. Dessert was the chocolate, caramel sea salt tart, literally sin on a plate and worth every calorie. Staff was super attentive and wonderfully sweet. Will go back without a doubt!"

"Farm to table concept. Lower and upstairs level dining. Lower level has bar and is quite loud. Upstairs is more secluded, quiet and romantic. Arrived early for a 7:30 reservation. Hostess told us our table was ready and asked if we would like to be seated. Because we were early I wanted to have a quick drink at the bar. Bartender made no attempt to have eye contact and I waited 15 minutes to be served at the bar. When I told the Hostess we were ready to be seated our table was suddenly no longer ready. Seemed to be chaos at hostess stand with the guests. Finally seated upstairs after 15 minutes of waiting. Completely different environment then downstairs dining room. Service was cordial and friendly. Food was very good. Will try again."

"The food was very good, but I must comment on a couple of issues:
1. On the website, the restaurant offers to send a copy of the menu if requested. I requested the menu twice -- on line when I made the reservation and verbally when I was called to confirm the reservation. Neither time was the menu sent to me.
2. The service is almost too good. We were asked repeatedly regarding drinks, bread, etc. and the requests almost became intrusive.
3. The noise level upstairs where we sat was "energetic" but tolerable. Thankfully we were not seated downstairs where the noise was overwhelming."

"The farm to table brunch was a 10 for everyone in my party.The eggs were prepared beautifully as were the accompanying items.

"Delightful meal... and worth the trip from Long Island. I especially liked the apple polenta cake and asked for the recipe. The Chef brought a printed copy to our table and discussed key ingredients and preparation tips with me. A special bonus."

"Mouth-watering. We had a fantastic experience, an excellent wine recommendation from our attentive waitress, and felt like we were living the foodie dream. Steers purchased directly from a NY farm once a month. Pigs purchased once a week. We shared our entrees and desserts and enjoyed every moment. The focaccia and even the gluten-free seed bread we tried in honor of friends not present was delicious. Highly recommend."

"Great restaurant week lunch. The chick-pea appetizer good but salad better and will order soup next time. Pasta with poached egg was good but burger is fav, when shared with a close friend - too big for 1. Leave room to share dessert too! Three mini expresso bread puddings... warm and buttery with perfectly melted dark chocolate. Would have enjoyed wine special, but had to go back to the office."

"Extremely loud with no space to wait when your table is not ready.. Bar was filled with people and it was too hard to order a drink while yelling over patrons that are eating. Food was good but atmosphere did not make it an enjoyable evening."
