Jason's Restaurant is the perfect place to have a casual lunch or dinner with upscale service and impressive cuisine. Our menu has dishes everyone can savor from our fresh and light Hawaiian Poke to our spicy, grilled Blackened Rib Eye Steak. Our full bar serves up signature drinks and fine wine to enjoy in our dining room or out on the patio. Our banquet room also offers a great space for small intimate parties and large events.
"The food is always tasty at Jasons. We did experience somewhat of a rushed service. As this was a special occasion diner, I really did not appreciate that. I do think that everything that is supposed to be hot on the plate, should be hot. It was not. Lukewarm potatoes, but hot veggies. Jasons seems to be hit and miss lately."

"Love Jason's! I haven't been to Jason's in a while, so good news is not much as changed. The chef still always honors my favorite specials dish sometimes not on the menu (spinach fettuccine and cubed salmon in a rose caper sauce). I always get the dragon prawns and the tomato bisque with crab meat. DELISH! If it's nice out, sit out in the patio."

"We are 4 friends who enjoy meeting 2x a month to eat out. Jason's is a treat and the staff is very accommodating for special requests. . We especially like their baked salmon and other fish entrees. You won't be disappointed in this restaurant."

"My husband and I hadn't been to Jason's in a while. We have been big fans since his original location on Anderson Drive in San Rafael, but the move to Greenbrae took it off of our regular outing radar, so we decided to give it a try.
Easy OpenTable reservation and we were there in half an hour and seated with a cocktail. The menu was similar to the old days, and my husband couldn't resist the sea bass that has always been a staple. I went for one of the evening's specials and had the halibut with mashed potatoes, asparagus and a really great olive tapenade. Everything was top notch. Dessert was a creme brulee that was quite good.
Jason's is convenient and consistently delicious. We will be going back for sure."

"I had cod with a peanut sauce and it was delicious. My wife had oven roasted sea bass which was ok, but not terrific. One of our friends had a pizza which had great taste but a bit too much oil. Our other friend had "rattlesnake pasta" which was a chicken pasta dish. It was good but not out of this world. Wine prices are reasonable for a restaurant. Medium priced - entrees run from los $20s to high $20's. We didn't try their desserts. The service was ok - good waiter but over worked since the restaurant was full and he had too many tables to attend to adequately."

"Everyone at our table ordered one of the fish entrees and all of them were absolutely fabulous. I had the sea bass and it was some of the best fish I have ever eaten. This should be your go to for seafood in Marin."

"We were celebrating a 40th birthday party for our son, and it couldn't have been better! The food was great, service, as well. The ambiance suited us all. We enjoyed ourselves so much that we stayed much later than we planned. We'll come again."

"My friend and I both had the lobster BLT. Good, but the bread was way overtoasted and dry. Delicious house salad. Service was lackadaisical but we weren't in a hurry so that worked out ok. Tables are widely spaced and the noise level is low enough that we could sit and talk easily."

"This restaurant is clearly for people in the neighborhood and has probably only survived with their loyalty. We ate inside and the ambiance was dark and dingy, no view. I am sure the outdoor seating would be nicer on a warm, clear day. The service was very slow. The wine list is poor. It felt very out of place for Marin. The sea bass was very good as advertised. Pastas were way too heavily sauced. We will not return."

"The Chilean Sea Bass was TERRIFIC! I would return for that alone! Also, the salads were very good. Service felt a little rushed at the beginning but slowed down. We will definitely return!"

"What a find! Located a bit off the beaten path, Jason's was a treat. Not sure about what to expect, the restaurant pleasantly surprised. The wine list was more extensive than anticipated. The restaurant even on a Sunday evening had a nice vibe to it with groups large and small enjoying themselves. The service professional and informed. The food did not disappoint. Recommend the tomato soup, pear salad, pesto sauce over any pasta (except perhaps over the gnocchi), tuna entree, and steak.
If have folks in town be a lovely local place to take them especially if outdoor dining open."

"Jason's is a great spot for really good food in generous portions. The baked salmon and the lamb chops were nicely prepared and perfectly cooks and my husband raved about his linguini pasta. A nice place to go that is close to home.
If you can get there early during the week, don't miss their happy hour with fabulous "small" plates (plenty for sharing) at bargain prices."

"This was just ok. Certainly not worth the drive. The caesar salad was good as was my pasta. My wife ordered the steak and it came out with virtually no flavor. Not worth the money for that."

"We went to Jason's for a "family" dinner which included people from around the SF bay. We selected Jason's because of its convenient location and delicious food.
We were very pleased with the experience at Jason's once again. Two of our guests had a house salad and another guest had the pear salad, and all guests found the salads to be delicious. Two of our guests had scallops. One said they were perfectly done and the other said they were underdone. One of the hosts had the vegetarian pizza and thought it was one of the best. The other host had the salmon and thought it was very good. Everyone loved the desert! Overall we found it to be very good and would recommend it."

"The food is good, but unfortunately, your first point of contact is a hostess who makes no attempt what so ever to be pleasant. We arrived promptly at our reservation time to which she said brusquely, "Your table won't be ready for 15 minutes. You can sit in the bar or over there," and walked off. We sat down at a table in the bar and no one acknowledged us, so my husband had to go to the bar to get us drinks. The waiter at our dinner table was good, however."

"We had another wonderful meal prepared by Jason. The seared Ahi is my main 'go to' entree but I opted for the sea bass and enjoyed it immensely. Our British guests thoroughly enjoyed their meals as well. We've never been disappointed at Jason's!"

"Dinner tonight was just what we were looking for: excellent food, special service, the right table and the special requests I had asked for. Perfect. As others have mentioned, the sea bass was excellent, perfectly cooked. Our wait person was unobtrusive and excellent. It was a special evening for us and Jordan's provided it."

"I thought I had requested a table/booth on the side but the hostess said there was nothing written on her notice of the reservation. She again commented as we left which I thought was unnecessary. Except for my meal of the Chilean sea bass, the other 3 people were not impressed with their dinners. Also the drink I ordered (old fashion) had barely the taste of bourbon and barely any color! We have been to Jason's many times and this night it was very disappointing. The waiter was very good and most pleasant."

"After my Mill Valley friends kept raving about this place, I decided to try with them. They had first gone to Jason's when it was located in a strip mall a decade ago so I never experienced that venue but they have moved to a new location in Greenbrae.
The restaurant is decent enough and they do have a full bar so that is always a plus with me. The food is rather simple, not complicated and decently prepared but I never experienced the 'wow' factor. I had the touted specialty which is the pan-seared Sea Bass which was fine........just not a multi-level flavored dish. We started with a ceviche like 'shot' and that was not great. Also had the blue cheese salad ( a wedge )which was just as I like it ........cold, srispy and cheesy."

"We enjoyed our unhurried lunch at Jasons with friends on a weekday. We were promptly seated at a table of our choice by a friendly waiter. He was attentive and efficient. We ordered three different entres, all of which were excellent. The sea bass was cooked perfectly and the special ravioli and penne were in a delicious rose sauce. Salads were fresh and lightly dressed. We plan to return soon."
