"My husband wanted to go to a good fish restaurant without having to go to Philadelphia or New York. It was his birthday so we wanted it to be special. We had been to to the Grill before but it was many years ago and had forgotten how good the food was. We brought our teenaged son and we all shared and enjoyed three different types of fish. We will definitely be back and it will be much sooner than later! Thank you."

"We went here for Mother's Day and, not being from the area, were incredibly impressed with every dish we ordered. Everything was cooked just right and had lots of flavor. Definitely get the seared Costa Rican tuna! It's BYOB so come prepared or stop at the liquor store next door."

"Blue Point Grill is consistently excellent: the fish--and it's a fish restaurant, so not recommended for carnivores--is ALWAYS fresh and perfectly prepared. There is always a huge choice, mostly simple preparations, nice selection of sides, we have never been disappointed. This is not a fancy restaurant, the chefs are not trying to earn points for the newest, most elaborate, or trendy menus; it is a VERY GOOD restaurant that always satisfies and leaves us wanting to come back again and again. Just remember to bring your own wine or beer, no corkage charges, and you'll be happy!"

"I had an excellent seafood dining experience, and if I had stayed with seafood, the meal would have been perfection. But as a lover of good food I wanted it all, so I ordered dessert - quite disappointing....the Creme Brûlée was off by few ingredients, almost had a boxed pudding flavor, and the lava cake was unsensational...Other than the dessert our meals were excellent- from lobster bisque, crab and avocado martini (arrives in a martini glass, not a drink, thank goodness), lime and cilantro shrimp, hint of jalapeño peppers to crab cakes the meal was sublime. I will definitely return again and again, and either skip dessert or go somewhere else. Coffee was good :) Service was excellent. Table outside a bit small. Highly recommend!"

"The next day when looking for my credit card I discovered that I may have left it at the restaurant. I called multiple times asking for someone to check if it were there and no one ever called back. I called 4 separate times when finally and I think lazily the person said they didn't see it/ find it. I don't expect them to find it if it isn't there but they took no initiative on multiple occasions.
Finally cancelled the card.
Also this restaurant received fairly high ratings which I found surprising as I felt the food was fair to good but no better.
I have yet to find a really good restaurant in Princeton. I'll keep looking.
Go to philadelphia if you want some outstanding meals, really!"

"This was my second time to this restaurant and, just like before, it did not disappoint! The food is amazing here! My first time, I had the John Dory and this time I had the Pistachio Crusted Rainbow Trout. My boyfriend had Swordfish last time and a different type of Swordfish with Salmon Grill this time. The fish is so tasty and the wait staff is very attentive and knowledgeable. They are open to questions about the food and very patient if you take a while to make a decision (like I usually do). The atmosphere is inviting as well. It's always a special dinner when you go here! I would recommend it to everyone I know."

"We have eaten at BPG many times and have always enjoyed our meals--fresh fish, perfectly prepared. This week we ordered king salmon, halibut and bronzini and all were of the highest quality. Because we were familiar with the restaurant, we knew not to expect a quiet, relaxing evening. However, the noise level was beyond "energetic". It was so loud that conversation was almost non-existent. BPG has been scratched from our go-to list."

"Blue Point is always wonderful. The service is just fantastic. Last time, we had Laura, she was just great. Sat outside, with the heat lamps, and it was just perfect. Blue Point is still slightly pricey, but definitely worth it. Softshell crabs are in season now and I highly recommend. We also ordered the Halibut that night (we were told it came in fresh that day) and it was perfectly cooked. Sometimes I must say the fish can be a tad over cooked. Over all experience amazing."

"I read all the reviews first so was ready to order the pistachio encrusted trout. It was very delicious and memorable. It was crispy but moist. My husband had the crab cakes which were also delicious with giant lumps of crab, no fillers.
We also ordered the guacamole crab as the appetizer. The tomatoes and guacamole seemed to overpower the wonderful lumps of crab though. The New England Chowder was different than I remember having grown up in New England. This one was more pink but it was so yummy, almost a meal in itself. We sat outside on the side street, a little too breezy, but there are heat lamps which is a great touch. I found the inside to be noisy, crowded and dark just my personal perspective."

"As always, food delicious and service outstanding. This menu cycle's appetizer "martini" with guacamole, chips, crab was fun to share, though not as good as other appetizers we've had there. Wouldn't opt for it again. Far prefer the tuna pate which rotates on and off. Grilled shrimp and tilapia standby favorites. Weather now allows for outside dining which means early visitors booking inside have less energetic noise in the always packed restaurant. BYOB. Book early in evening and weeks ahead, online, if possible for best of everything."

"The best for sea food foodies. Always fresh, and types of sea food not found anywhere. Service prompt and courteous. Very noisy, all hard surfaces to reflect sound. All dishes prepared perfectly. Would like more choices for side dishes. Nothing fancy, just great sea food and quintessential "Princeton" atmosphere."

"I'm "that guy" who never gives a perfect score, always thinking things could be a bit better. Until now. Blue Point Grill hit it out of the park with every appetizer and entree at our 4-top. Can't wait to return but have to remember to reserve weeks in advance as this place is no secret."

"Not the restaurants fault but a fight broke out at the bar next door which drew police and ambulance activity. The flashing lights and sirens did NOT add to the ambiance. Also, it took about 10 minutes to seat us (no big deal) and it was a while before our waiter came over...thankfully another waiter came over to open our wine and someone else brought us bread and water. Once out waiter noticed us he was very attentive."
