"I've dined at Cafe Torre for years and have never been disappointed. If you like italian food, good pasta, fresh ingredients, a great italian wine list and a nice atmosphere, it's a refreshing gem in bustling Cupertino. I had a classic prawns with garlic and lemon over pasta and it was perfect. A warm spinach salad with pancetta to start, and a glass of montepulciano -- what more could you ask for? It's small and quiet and you feel like you have escaped from the crowds when you are here. A great place to relax and enjoy an evening, italian style."

"We thought the food was excellent, and we had a great bottle of wine on a busy Wednesday night. We were surprised to see how dressed up everyone was, until we discovered they were all going to an event at the Flint Center. I had the paella, which really was enough for two!"

"Our table of six arrived at 6:15pm to make the Speaker's Series at 8pm. We were served our meal at 7:20! The waiter did not apologize. Our table was squeezed in and we could not hear each other speak from one table end to another. All in all, it was not a great experience. My fish was delicious."

"I really enjoy Cafe Torre. It's a bit out of the way for me but it's a perfect place to meet up with girlfriends to catch up. The food is consistently good, nice variety, and they don't rush you through the dining experience. This is a very relaxing place for dining and socializing."

"I have been going to Cafe Torre since it opened and with the change of owner ship a few years back everything remained the same. Great food, great service, same wait staff. This is my first time back in 3 years only because there are so many new places to try. The menu looked almost the same, I recognized some of the wait staff but something was off. A slow Thursday night and 45 minutes to get our food. I ordered the duck and it was really fantastic. My poor niece was starving and we had not ordered an appetizer. Her pasta was OK. We ordered the banana bread pudding. It tasted like it had been made a week ago. If it was not for the gelato, it would have been inedible. Too bad this place has gone downhill."

"I've been there many years ago when I worked across the street. The food was good, but I must say the service was fair. Frankly I felt snubbed as they weren't as friendly as I remember them. I just didn't feel welcomed. They weren't rude, but they were not inviting."

"I've had nothing but great experiences here - both lunch and dinner. I used to work right across the street and would go at least once a month, but now our offices have moved and to get my "fix" of Cafe Torre I actually need to drive out of my way. But believe me, it's worth the trip!
The service is attentive yet not "hovering", and the food is fresh, tasty mediterranean (mostly Italian) cuisine. The pasta puttanesca is my favorite, but all the pasta dishes are great. And here's a tip: if you're there for lunch and you don't want such a huge helping, you can ask for just a "half order".
Last weekend I took a friend from out of town there, and we were able to walk in around 6pm without a reservation (although the place filled up q"

"A small boutique restaurant in a strip mall- what a surprising find! The wine list had some excellent choices, our group of 4 enjoyed everything that was served- it was delicious. They have about a dozen tables, and the atmosphere was respectful yet casual. We were able to have a comfortable conversation without shouting. Service was a bit slow, but they were completely full on a Sat night."

"The same European flair that their owners built at Cafe Marcella in Los Gatos, but in a smaller, neighborhood strip mall package. The wine list is not as extensive, but there are gems to be found, as well as good deals.

"We've been to Cafe Torre several times over the years and it's always been a great experience. This time we brought 2 friends and braved dinner out on Valentine's Day. Valentine's Day is typically not a good night to go to dinner at many restaurants - not the case at Cafe Torre! We were taken to our table immediately and the subsequent service was excellent and friendly (no stuffiness). Three of us had the special pasta with scallops (raves all around) and one had pasta with clams (more raves). Of course they have wonderful wine and an extensive wine list. Beer too but no hard liquor. The background music is tasteful jazz and actually is in the background. We'll be back!"

"This was an early birthday dinner for my husband. We were seated almost immediately upon arrival. Water and a bread basket was quick to be delivered to our table.
Our waiter has been at this restaurant for more than 18 years. We really like that about Cafe Torre. We took his recommendations for wine, white for me and red for him.
We shared a delicious roasted red pepper appetizer. It was warm and homey and we loved it. The table next to us asked about it and ordered it themselves and also loved it.
I had the fish special and ate every last bite to be had including the potatoes and vegetables. My husband had the lamb chops and loved them as well.
