"Stopped for lunch on a saturday. Food was good. Ate inside as the street it's on is very busy. Overall as a lunch experience, it was good. We both ordered Greek dishes. I'd say I'd rate it as a good value, but I wasn't wowed."

"Truly a find in Ojai. As it was Good Friday I was limited to seafood this visit, but Azu served up limitless choices for us. Perfectly lightly battered Al Dente Calamari coupled with a tangy marinara and bitingly, decadent garlic tartar. The huge Gambas ( swimming in this heated colorful broth) of garlic, shallots onion and definitive buttery warm,fresh, firm and divine. We ordered the app again at the end of our discovery in fact. Azu's bread bites are highly addictive. They sop up the broth and sauces too well. The seared large scallops plated with a purée of blood orange spring onions, was interesting paired with a nice chilled Sauv Blanc. I took away raspberry notes w just 3 scallops ok but lacked firmness But gelato & art kicked all!"

"We ate at Azu 2 out of 3 nights in Ojai. Both times the food was fresh and flavorful, light enough but satisfying. The atmosphere is lively but not at all loud. Our server was knowledgable and friendly (but not too). The look of Azu is fairly open and contemporary w/ interesting painting/prints on the walls. Highly recommended."

to get out of town and be in lovely Ojai. I do believe I expected the bar to be open at 5pm so made reservations for 5:30, for a drink at the bar but you werent open so my friends went down the street to 33 for a celebratory drink."

"The food for both of us was excellent,well presented and imaginative. The service was friendly and pleasant but with over-long gaps between appearances by the staff. The room was very attractive withouut unnecessary frills, and it was quiet enough to hold a normal conversation which can be a rarity currently. Overall, the experience was very positive and we will go there again when in the area and will recommend it to friends."

"I actually ate here two nights in a row. The first night I sat at the bar and had the herb roasted chicken. The portion was good sized, but as I am on a protein diet I did not eat the sides. The chicken was delicious. The outer was crisp and well seasoned, and the white meat was tender, juicy and melt in your mouth. The next night I was joined by a friend and we returned, with table reservations, and I had the salmon. The portion was slightly smaller, but also delicious. Slightly crispy on the outside, but tender and moist on the inside. It was excellent. The wine selection was modest, not overwhelming, but excellent choices. If I lived in Ojai, this would be my go-to dining destination."
