For freshness and flavor you can't go wrong by aiming for a classic Mediterranean cuisine appreciated around the world. At the heart of a Mediterranean meal is fresh quality ingredients down to the olive. Pera chooses to take that aim, and where possible we will use local farms, as well as locally grown produce. In selecting our lamb and beef cuts we strive to make grass feeding top on the list.
Add to this Pera's offering of regional breads and desserts made in-house with a full array of compatible California wines, Greek, Turkish, and domestic beers. And finally top it all off with Turkish coffee.

"The array of Mediterranean appetizers will satisfy many tastes. The wine list is adequate with some reasonable choices offering excellent value. I enjoyed the delicious Sea Bream for my main course amid a lovely, warm setting. The service is highly attentive without being intrusive. When I left, the restaurant was filled to capacity."

"Best Mediterranean food to date!! Went with 2 friends and we just kept ordering different plates. Incredibly delicious! Very attentive service from the beginning. I had mentioned in my Open Table reservation that we were going to see a show at 8 and they knew when we walked in. Made it to the show in plenty of time."

"Pera has wonderful ambiance and a friendly, attentive staff. We enjoyed the liveliness of a Saturday night dinner crowd, and the food was delicious. We started off with appetizers: pita with tzatziki, zucchini cakes, and the flaming cheese! I had the Talas Boregi, which was yummy, and my husband had the lamb kebab plate. Dessert was my favorite: dried apricots stuffed with mascarpone cheese, and rolled in pistachios! There were no leftovers, we finished everything. We had a very enjoyable evening and will definitely be back!"

"Food was interesting, unusual and quite good. Prices were fair. The wait staff explained the menu well. Service was spot on, neither overly attentive nor lackadaisical. My only complaint is the place is quite noisy, even with few people there."

"We really liked the taste of food. It felt that quality of daily is good and etc.., yet the given food was too little of amount for all of us. We ordered same dish (the harem style breakfast) for five people, and it looked like food was provided for 3 people, and we kept asking for refilling bread baskets."

"Another great dinner with the fine folks at Pera. They're a great neighborhood place, and good destination restaurant as well. I feel Turkish is the most refined of Middle Eastern cuisines and Pera just proves the point. Terrific, attentive service, outstanding food, very good wine list, delicious desserts. "Service was very warm and welcoming, the space is nicely decorated and the food is excellent authentic Greek/Turkish cuisine. They make great use of dried fruits in the dishes. Try the apricot stuffed with mascarpone and rolled in pistachios for dessert! We'll be back."
