"Our 30th wedding anniversary was the occasion as notified by internet reservation. They acted as if they were unaware and seated us in less than romantic location. Our server was very attentive and accommodating. Food was very good and prompt. The caprese salad, she crab soup, and "not your grandmamas spaghetti and meatballs" were excellent! We will return and look forward to trying more dishes!"

"My wife and I love trying new restaurants and we have heard good things about Passions.
The food was okay, but expensive.
My wife ordered a salad and it was drowned in dressing. We sent it back and the chief came out and stated that it had to much dressing on it and he apologized for it.
I ordered the steak special medium, $32 dollars, and it came out rare.
Best part of the dinner was the martinis."

"Wonderful food with upscale feel and reasonable pricing. Great wine selection and they have an offsite liquor license so you can take your wine bottle with you if you don't finish it at the table. Mike was our server and he was one of the best waiters we've ever experienced. He had a great personality and knowledge of the menu and wine selection. Hats off to the chef, unique ideas in delicious food. Don't eat here with out trying the truffle Mac-n-Cheese !"

"Delicious homemade bread; cake-like. Wonderful she crab soup! Entrees came soon after our soup bowls were taken away. The duck done 2 ways was delicious, as we're the wasabi mashed potatoes with grilled asparagus. My husband had the boneless beef short ribs with green beans and risotto. He said it was very good. He took home a serving of the chocolate mousse cake; there was enough for two people. It was a busy Saturday night. I think the food has improved from a year ago. Yes, I'd go back."

"My wife an I are very particular and the food was amazing! The service was excellent the wait staff knew so much about the food you'd think they cooked it. It was a bit pricey but well worth a special occasion I would definitely recommend it for couples. I would say that due tithe size being so small it was a bit noisy but nothing I couldn't handle. Overall a true gem and excellent food and service will bring me back.."

"We were very pleasantly surprised by Passion. A friend recommended Passion to me for my fiancé's birthday. I had my concerns due to the location (in a small nondescript shopping center). However, Passion made our experience special from the moment we walked in. When we were led to our table, there was a birthday card for my fiancé, which had been signed by all of the staff members at Passion. A little thing that really stood out for us and made us feel special. We started with the she crab soup and the risotto croquettes. Both were fantastic. I ordered the bleu cheese filet mignon and he ordered the sesame filet of salmon. Both were cooked perfectly to order and tasted amazing! Only wish we could have tried more on the menu!!"

"This place is a hit or miss. I've tried 4 different plates, one of which was phenomenal. That happened to be the fish which was perfectly cooked. That night I also ordered the Mac and cheese which was out of this world. Next night I went I ordered something I could have easily made at home, and better. My food was bland and flavorless. I was so disappointed. I so ordered the Mac and cheese again, knowin I wouldn't be disappointed, but I was! It was lacking a distinctive flavor the first batch had. Also, some of the tapas (antipasti) were awful. None of the flavors complementened each other. Noodles were bland with balsamic overtop. Never in my life have had an antipasti as such. Overall, I would not recommend this place."

"Although we had a reservation, we had to wait 20 minutes for our table. The hostess wasn't very friendly at first, but she warmed up. The bartendress was very pleasant, though! It was noisier than I remember from a previous visit, making it almost impossible to have a conversation without shouting."

"I took my boyfriend there to celebrate his birthday and ended up regretting it. After 20 minutes of not even getting water, I walked around the restaurant trying to find someone to wait on us. About 5 minutes later, the manager told us he would be our server. We placed our drink orders and they were delivered about 10-15 minutes later. My boyfriend's drink was not what we ordered spoke to our server about it. We then found out that our server was not just our server and the manager, but also the bartender, who botched the drink and still charged us for it. When the food finally came it was good, but not great. I had made the note in my reservation that it was my boyfriend's birthday but of course that was ignored. Never again."

"Overall we had an excellent evening; the table are too close, but that's understandable considering the size of restaurant; Happy Hour should offer more than just one Red Wine as a choice, Cheesy. One thing that was of concern, I ordered the special and I didn't want seem cheap, so I didn't ask the price, but it was a shocker to see it was more than any of the other dinner entrees on the menu. Never-the-less the Filet migon was outstanding!"

"Wish the food had lived up to the menu. It could be that their're trying too hard to be all things to all dinners. Wife and I tried two of their oriental dishes and found them to be dull and lifeless. The other couple with us tried the Cagan inspired meals and was much happier, but not inspired. The place was jumping, so we may have fallen victums to our own bad choices."

"This certainly one if the worse meal in a long time. The food was not good, lack of taste, lack of salt. The food was cold and tasteless. This is the second time it happened to us. This restaurant is really inconsistent. Sometimes the food is really bad and sometimes it is good. Our waiter was also not really helpful. Couldn't give us any suggestions about wine or food. A bad meal."

"This was my wife and my first experience at Passion, The Restaurant. We were celebrating our 48th wedding anniversary. We were met by a friendly greeter who sat us at our table immediately. Mike our server came to our table and asked for our drink order. The Expresso Martinis are delicious and the She Crab soup was the best We have had, lots of Crab and very rich and creamy. My wife ordered the Tri-Asian, nice variety of Asian flavors, I ordered the Filet Mignon with the Blue cheese butter. I ordered my steak cooked medium and it was cooked perfectly and quite flavorful. I highly recommend the restaurant and will place it at the top of our list for places to eat."

"We like Passion because it is locally owned and convenient to where we live. It is very nice atmosphere and the folks are friendly. Our last visit was a little disappointing, though, as we specifically went on Tuesday night because it is half-price wine night and we wanted to order a bottle of MAN Chardonnay. Sadly, they were out of the MAN. In addition, before we could even order (and this was only 5:30 PM!!), they announced that they were out of the rockfish special for the evening. Soooooo.....it was not our most successful outing to Passion. Nevertheless, our meal was good, the bread and olive oil are still delicious and we will continue to visit because I think, and hope, that this was an anomaly."

"It was somewhat disappointing. The food was fantastic with the exception of my wife's filet being medium rare when it should have been medium well. She did note that she had the same meal on a Tuesday as opposed to Saturday and it was done perfectly. This leans us to believe they're trying to turn tables instead of paying attention to the customer. We arrived an half hour early to enjoy a drink at the bar. When I asked if we could just transfer the drinks to our tab we were told "NO". I gave the barmaid my card, she ran it and then pointedly said to the hostess these folks are ready for their table when we were still enjoying our cocktails with no intention of taking our table 15 minutes early. 3 different wines were out of stock. SAD"

"My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our dinner. My wife had the chicken special and I had the Filet Minion with the Bleu Cheese topping. Everything was excellent. My wife still talks about how great my scalloped potatoes were. The steak and chicken were both cooked perfectly. The Malbec I had with my steak was a perfect pair. The waiter was more that helpful, energetic, and basically set the mood. Great dining experience."

"The restaurant was full, and extremely loud due to the high ceilings. Lunch would be a much better time to dine. My husband's martini was awful; he didn't even finish it. The caprese salad was small for the $8 price and had under ripe tomatoes. The crab soup was great and served nice and hot. The bread that was served was not good. The entree prices are too high, but the selection and taste was good (filet mignon-$32). My husband's filet was undercooked. The service was great, she was very attentive. We ordered three desserts. All were good, but the prices were way too high. The chocolate passion was an individual size and was $12!!! We won't be going back."

Everyone in our party, ranging in age from early 20's to late 50's, agreed that the food was among the best that any of us had ever had. The entire experience was a pleasure. "Our overall experience was great. The food was fabulous (rack of lamb, duck and Maytag fillet) all though a little pricey, but this was a special occasion and it was worth it. Wine selection was good."

"The Salmon was cooked to order, tender and flaky. The asparagus were mostly tiny and cooked too long. The garlic mashed potatoes were average. My companions complained about the amount of salt in the food, lack of seasoning in the cole slaw, and did not care for the curried potato salad. The saving grace was the bread pudding. It was the best part of the meal. My companions will definitely not return. I've stated that I will recommend the restaurant primarily because they serve shrimp and grits and my daughter loves that. Plus, I'd go back for the bread pudding. It is an open ceiling space, so noise was a problem for one of my companions who wears a hearing aid. The decor was eclectic and I really liked the waterfall picture."

"One of the best restaurants in Hampton Roads and by far the best restaurant in Chesapeake. I had heard about this restauranty from a fellow collegue and I will say this restaurant absolutely surprised me to the furthest extent as everything was perfect. I look forward to seeing this restaurant expand in the Hampton Roads area as it definitely has the potential. I highly recommend taking customers, companions, etc. to Passion."

"We went on a Tuesday night knowing that they would probably not be busy. This would allow us to not feel rushed. My husband ordered a filet mignon Medium Well and there was blood on his plate when it arrived and it was more medium rare. My tuna was ordered medium, but there was a pretty large portion of the tuna that was rare. I did not complain. We did have to say something about the filet and they were awesome in how they handled it and took the filet off the bill.
I want to go back and try again. I am just too afraid to recommend this place to someone as it is pretty expensive and I do not want them to have the same experience we did with the food. I definitely want to give this another try!!!!"

"Me and my wife really enjoyed our experience. Food was overall fantastic except when my wife got towards the middle of her filet mignon. It was medium rare instead of the medium she asked for. My duck was very tasty as was the wasabi mash that came with it. Oh yeah, get the she crab soup!!!!!"
