"Sunset Cove was a good restaurant, with good food, good service, and a great view of the Hudson River and Tappan Zee Bridge. I had the seafood special of striped bass with couscous and spinach. The fish was nicely done and flavorful. The lobster flatbread was also tasty and well done. My dining companions raved about the lobster and shrimp bisque.
We originally asked to be seated outside, but when the wind picked up and rain threatened, the maitre d' proactively asked if we wanted to be re-seated inside -- which we did. Had the weather been more cooperative, it would have been delightful to eat outside."

"Nice setting by the water. The food was just fine - nothing outstanding as I'd expected from other reviews. It seemed very routine for everyone on staff, as our presence didn't really matter either way to anyone. Just another task to complete. This restaurant experience would be much better if staff seemed happy to have you there and were eager to share what is on their menu."

"We had an excellent seafood salad as an appetizer and a good codfish entree off the daily special menu. The regular menu offers enough variety to satisfy everyone. The view of the Hudson River is good especially at sunset. They have outdoor dining right on the water. We return here regularly for the view and can always count on a good meal."

"The food was good enough to want to go back. The view of the Hudson River is very nice and in good weather there is outside dining. The service was excellent. We have been there before and know what to expect: pleasant dining with a view and have never had a disappointing meal. The cold seafood appetizer was outstanding. A decent bottle of Shiraz was an inexpensive $24."

"I've had brunch at dozens of restaurants in dozens of cities and I never thought a restaurant that offers brunch every Sunday could actually find a way to mess it up. Completely understaffed and without basic brunch essentials (IMO) like toast, a toaster or an omelette station consisting of more than 2 pans for 100+ seating capacity. Also the omelette station chef had to crack each egg individually making haste - or egg whites - impossible to deliver. Scrambled eggs were very runny and while there were indeed a few good dishe,s the poor experience, lack of coordination and service gaps make what should be an amazing experience with a great view an utter disappointment. I just will never go back again. Beyond a waste of money - and view."

"The Restaurant has outstanding views of the Hudson River under the Tappan Zee Bridge. All the staff were helpful, and pleasant. The Appetizers we tried(cheese and meats) seafood salad were good. I had the Salmon with vegetable Risotto. The Salmon was decent, but the vegetable risotto was not the best. It almost did'nt taste like risotto(more like rice and diced veggies. no creaminess or richness). The others in my party enjoyed there meals. We took desert home(chocolate decadence/flourless chocolate cake)and my wife liked it. Overall, the food was good, but not spectacular. The service and views on the patio were excellent. I give the overall experience an 7-8 out of 10."

"Rating would have been a 5 star because the food was outstanding, but with just one exception. The fried calamari appetizer was tough and chewy. The lasagna canneloni was superb; the steak prepared as ordered and very good; the seafood with pasta was delicious; chicken scarpariella very tasty; and the pasta bolognese was also excellent. "The evening started off in question but end very nicely. We got there early so we were ushered to the bar which was behind a solid set of doors which was fortunate because this area was very loud with conversation and was not what we were prepared for. But we were able to get a table by the window and enjoyed a nice glass of wine while looking out over the Hudson River, this was a nice view and could see the sky line of New York in the distance.
Our table was for dinner was in the much quieter dining room. Food was excellent as was the service and the window views were fantastic. Would recommend going to and we will definitely go back."
