NOHO's Mediterranean-American where a "stream runs through the middle". It's "feng shui all the way" at this "sexy" "serene" find. Sumptuous fare is served with class. "It goes the extra mile to accommodate you."
"I loved the relaxed feel of the restaurant - easy, friendly. Had light dinner and a drink - no fuss. Menu choices seemed limited. Hubby had the hamburger was very good. Too many fries - overwhelmed the plate. I had the beet salad, could have added some greens to presentation. Pleasant decor - certainly would go back but would ask for a salad with the burger. Prices were very fair and service was very good.

"BEST EGGWHITE FRITTATA I EVER HAD! The citrus fruit salad also was delicious. I was late for my reservation and called and they held it for me. I really thought it was one of the best brunches I had in NYC."

"Our first time at Five Points. We arrived early (before five thirty). The hostess explained that the kitchen was not functioning. We were welcomed to a table and ordered drinks during the wait. The menu was interesting and the food excellent."

"I liked the ambiance and the decor. The service was excellent. The food was very good. My choice of food was the salmon Benedict which was enforced by my waiter by a thumbs up as I was ordering it. I also enjoyed my mimosa made with fresh Orange juice which is sometimes hard to come by."

"The Five Points was excellent as among the six people we shared the appetizers which were excellent. Of note, the potato pizza and octopus were great and the main course steak, pork shank which was a Flinstone size and Mackrel were very tasty. The Gelato was super and as good as any I had in Italy. Prices are reasonable and wine list extensive."

"Service quality was not enthusiastic, just fair. Food quality was ok but overpriced. The scallop dish was just ok, too much watery sauce. The Amish half chicken was good."

"Really inviting and attentive staff. What threw me off a bit were the mussels - not over cooked but had a weird taste and were unusually plumped out. The sauce didn't support them either and wasn't the type that made us want to dip our fries in."

"I think you might consider enhancing your veggie menu with more veggie w/o fish choices. In fact would think about appealing to this particular group since so many restaurants (in the area) do not. All in all I thought an excellent place would recommend but of course always bothered by the noise...."

"A great solution to pre-or after-Public Theater events. Interesting menu, well-prepared, well-seasoned food.
Great bartender! Unfortunately, we didn't get his name but he was personable, friendly, and attentive. We ate at the bar before going to the Public Theater. The pre-dinner bar scene was pretty noisy, but it thinned out quickly as people left or went to the main room for dinner."

"I haven't been to Five Points in many years having tried out many of the other new and exciting restaurants to open. Decided to go to FP for a going away party since it used to be such a staple in my life. It was a wonderful experience. So glad I went back. The food was as amazing as always!!!!"

"Food was great and atmosphere was perfect for a relaxed Sunday dinner. Unfortunately, the service was very poor. Sat there for 15 minutes waiting for even a drink order and then all we got was "do you know what you want?". No "do you have any questions" "would yo like a drink" "would you like to know about the specials"? They mixed up who was eating what at our table for the appetizers and then brought our entrees to the table next to us. Our server seemed very busy while there plenty of other people simply standing around. It just seemed very unorganized.
The food was good enough to go back but we'll eat at the bar."

"Good news: reservations accepted for brunch. When we arrived (on time) they were packed, busy with people waiting, and...they had out table ready and seated us immediately. Bloody Marys were a nice size, delicious, and made to your desired degree of hotness. We all loved the churros with Mexican hot chocolate. Get this dish! I had a fantastic smoked salmon and bacon tartine, highly recommended. We all loved the french fries, lemon ricotta pancakes and macaroni and cheese. Delicious coffee. All the food was a little over-salted, a minor complaint. The place is vibrant, packed with people, servers were professional and efficient. The only negative is the extremely high noise level. We were yelling to communicate at our round table for 6."

"The service was very attentive without being overbearing. The place is casual (maybe not suited for a "special occasion"), but there was a buzz and good atmosphere.
Now the food - we shared a starter, had own mains and one dessert. The mains were a solid quality, but compared to the outstanding app (grilled skewered steak) and the dessert (pudding), it lacked a little bit of flavour and punch. I had the ribs (which were very tender and stewed, but could have used a bit of intensity) and my friend had the half chicken dish (which was way too much food for one). The drinks and wine list made up for the little shortcoming!
Would definitely come back - want to try lunch next!"

"Vinagrette on the spinach salad appetizer was a bit acidic and the ribs lacked any real punch. It was nice that they were falling off the bone, but they didnt taste like much. Excellent service as always, and the cocktails were exceptional."

"Five Points is my must- stop NYC restaurant. Friendly waitstaff, zero attitude from the hostess, cozy on a cold night and great food. It's a great find!
We had an amazing time and excellent food. We arrived an hour before our reservation and the hostess seated us immediately. Entire staff was gracious and helpful. Obviously a great place to work."

"What I first noticed when I walked into Five Points was the delicous aroma of great food being prepared. This set my expectations high and I was NOT disappointed. The baked oyster appetizer with cream and fresh thyme was probably the best appetizer I ever ate. Everyone at my table raved about their meals. I had the braised pork ribs with accompanying vegetables that all melded into a delicious supper. I highly recommend Five Points."

"I've been to Five Points many times for lunch, and have always enjoyed it. Dinner was a disappointment: unfriendly, unhelpful waitress, and food that was oddly less appetizing than the lunch fare. I do complement the restaurant for honoring our request to lower the volume of the rock music, making it possible for the 4 of us to have a conversation."

"We had an absolutely delicious brunch and I loved the energetic vibe, but it would be nice if there was a better place to wait for your table because it felt very crowded at first. Maybe if you had a policy where you called people when their table was ready, less people would want to wait in the entryway. Or you should really urge people to make reservations so there aren't as many walk ins. I made a reservation and still had to wait 10 minutes. Despite that, i can't wait to go back. Hundred Acres, Cookshop, and Five Points are three of my favorite restaurants for brunch or dinner in the city."

"A great experience. The food was terrific and the service impeccable. I asked if they could substitute a tiny side salad for French fries and got a huge and tasty/healthy salad. Dessert was good too--some choices that went beyond the run-of-the-mill. I will definitely recommend this restaurant to friends and colleagues."

"We always have a nice time here -- they're friendly and unpretentious, and the food is usually great. They were out of scallops the night we went, though, and 2 of the 5 of us had wanted to order them. No worries; we'll get back for the scallops another night."
