"First time I have ever eaten at a Ritz Carlton restaurant and have been disappointed. Menu was pretty minimal and food was at best edible. I would have expected a fine New Orleans restaurant to have great food with some spice to it. The shrimp appetizer I had was supposed to be barbque flavored and was very liquid and flat tasting, no kick at all.
The gumbo was also totally unadventurous. Although service was excellent as all RitZ restaurants are, I was so let down by the food."

"We were so looking forward to seeing Jeremy Davenport and having a nice dinner to celebrate our wedding anniversary. Oh well, I guess we can check that one off our list with disappointment. Although the wait staff was very nice, they seemed to be overwhelmed and not in sync and the food was simply OK...same goes for the show."

"For a late night snack, we had gumbo, roasted romaine salad and a burger. The place was pretty quiet but its a lovely room, with a skylight that opens and the service was reasonably prompt. Prices a little on the high side for what you got, but its the Rtz Carlton, after all. Go during the day to enjoy the skylight."

"This was almost perfect. Almost because a restaurant of this caliber should never have a customer wait to be seated or at least to be greeted for more than 15-30 seconds. It took about 2 minutes. That's it. Everything else was flawless. The food was to die for, the table service impeccable. Ambiance was romantic. Our waiter Calvin was gentle, polite, knowledgeable and professional. I highly recommend M Bistro. We will return"

"The place was beautiful. The service was fast and friendly. It was nice to listen to the jazz band while we ate. The food was very good I got the shrimp and grits and it was excellent, The only negative was the shrimp had the head and tail still attached and it made it difficult to eat without making a mess as it was in a sauce. My 8 year old niece was with us and she was very comfortable and they did have a nice children's menu and the waiters was especially nice to her. It truely was a special meal!"

"I chose M bistro based on other OpenTable reviews and was somewhat dissatisfied.. I was in New Orleans alone on business and was dining alone. The staff was very attentive. The oyster appetizer was very good. The pork chop I ordered was juicy and well cooked but way over salted. The highlight of the plate was the Mac and cheese side. The wines by the glass choice was extremely limited and grossly overpriced. I would like to have seen some half bottle choices."
