"A picturesque little restaurant with nice ambience. But I'm not sure when I've seen such a limited menu. Very little to choose from. And they were already out of one of the dessserts by the time we ordered it, even though we dined early (6:30 pm dinner reservations). Service was just ok. I am unlikely to return unless the menu were to be expanded."

"Cafe Europa is a great little Brookside neighborhood gem. It is in the Crestwood shops just back from Aixois. A small cafe with only a few menu choices each day, but enough options to satisfy everyone in our family. This is a challenge in our family. Pancakes with berries for grandma, nice salad and cappuchino for mom and I, and heavier dishes for my dad and husband. They both enjoyed their bloody mary's also."

"A cold evening in May. Our party of three sat next to the fireplace and were warm and cozy. The airline chicken was cooked,to perfection, the tomato basil soup outstanding. My companions enjoyed the rhubarb compote on the arctic char . The wines were delicious, service excellent. A fine time was had."

"I have been to Cafe Europa many times for lunch, but never for dinner. It was excellent! The food was delicious and the service was wonderful. I have always loved the ambiance of Cafe Europa for lunch, but now I will definitely add it to my list for a romantic dinner."

"A key vendor wanted to buy me dinner after a crazy day of training our staff. I suggested she stay near my new neighborhood and we would find a great place. On a recommendation from a friend we went to Cafe Europa. I am a foodie and strongly support independent restaurants. The food was outstanding and our server Tom offered exceptional service."

"Having dined here on several occasions with friends and clients I must say I am very pleased. Whether in the bar or dining room the quality and standards remain high. Chef Nate Feldmiller creates wonderful plates of happiness as does mixologist Susan Avery whipping up incredible libations with a smile. Thank You for always bringing a smile to my face and stomach."

"We had family in for Easter so we went for brunch. Our group was 5 adults,3 children 2,3 & 6. Not a good place for children. They only had 2 high chairs and both were in use by a group that had just arrived. When the server came to take our drink order, others weren't quite ready, I said "Bloody Mary please" she looked at me and said just a second and continued to wait for an answer from the others before coming back to me. Apparently she had to go in order? OK,that's fine. She came back and told us that they had no orange juice. A brunch service, with no orange juice? Our table guest ordered tomato juice. No tomato juice either. I finally complained, the manager fixed it, found a high chair, tomato juice & ordered staff to squeeze oranges."

"Excellent food! Excellent Service! Only drawback this time was tons of kids and not enough highchairs in the restaurant on Easter Sunday."

"Although the staff accommodated our time schedule the meal was not as memorable as we've had in the past. It may be a while before we give Europa another try. Risotto was very spicy especially since served with scallops. Dressing on chicken/walnut salad was rather blah and barramundi was just okay. Tomato basil soup was fabulous!"

"we take our neighbor out to dinner and a theater event every year for her birthday. this year she turned 12 so we came to one of our favorite spots. started with the pork ruillets and steak tartare. delectable!!
our friend had scallops, my husband enjoyed the burger and i had the mussels. all sumptuous.
the establishment was gracious in providing a piece of their famous lemon cake as a birthday treat for our guest.
all in all, a fabulous experience."

"This was our first experience at Cafe Europa for dinner and we were very pleased. I have been there for lunch on other occasions. It is a small, intimate restaurant; however, it is a little difficult to hear if you are across from someone at a round table. It's a little pricey, but overall, a fine restaurant."

"I'm looking forward to coming back with my (chef) husband so we can try more menu items. My friends and I felt very relaxed in the atmosphere and appreciated the excellent service from Tom, our waiter. It was nice that the owner/manager came by but he didn't identify himself....All in all it was a great experience. Thanks!"

"Our party of 3 had a wonderful time. Service was excellent; food was as well. The only slight glitch was my entree (short steak) arrived lukewarm. However, the server was very prompt in reheating it and the manager came out to check to make sure I was satisfied."

"First time there and it was the 1st night of thier new menu. Food was well executed and solid. Service was great. Our server, Dorian, was very knowledgeable and they also have a fantastic bartender known for her infused vodkas. One odd thing was the two top table we sat at was turned longways vs all the other tables. It was the only table like this in the restaurant! Made it weird with folk to your left and right being able to look at you. Tough for any OCD person. We will be back though. Just hopefully at a different table!"

"I tried the Mussels on the new menu and they were very good. We also got some steak tartare, but I do not like the presentation, so we will not be getting that again. The lemon cake is award winning."

"A great neighborhood restaurant that is a bit pricey for dinner. Lunch is a better deal. The dinner entrees are good, but small and expensive for what is given. I have the "new" menu chicken. A small capon which in the end, hardly contained any meat. The broccolini, although flavorful, was tough. For $22, a dish that is overpriced."

"It seems the quality of the cooking is not as good as before. The food was not hot when it arrived. The potato pancakes were limp. Bacon is good however. The last two times we've eaten here, the experience was less than stellar. We hope the owners take steps to improve the fare. We could not recommend the restaurant until this is done."

"Quaint cafe & bakery nestled in Crestwood just north/west of UMKC. The simple yet elegant menu prepared by Nate Feldmiller changes monthly and the hand crafted cocktails by the lovely Susan Avery (voted best bartender in KC) are to die for. Not to mention a pastry case full of homemade cookies, tarts, pies and cakes. Very well priced and you'll be coming back for more. Try the Lemon Cake and you'll be hooked."

"Valentine's night was a success at Cafe Europa. The set menu had many great choices and wasn't overpriced. This store always has great food and this evening did not disappoint us. Bread is fantastic, appetizers were new and delicious and the scallops were to die for. Top it off with the famous Lemon Cake and it was a fine meal spent with my best friend, my wife. Thanks for having us and we will be back often."
