"Second time here and it's definitely worth a trip if you've never been. Their food is good and consistent. I've had the luck of having eaten at some of the best Indian restaurants in NYC, so my tastes have been slightly skewed. However, if you're in the area, this is definitely a very good meal."

"Very good food but slow and 'cold' service.
We were eating late afternoon/early evening on Sunday with almost nobody inside. We still had to wait over 30 minutes for starters. The waiter face and voice was so morbid that we thought for a while he didnt want to assist us. But the food was excellent and the place was simnple but clean, so in general we have enjoyed it. I am not sure whether we will go back there but we could definitely order take-out."

"I have been to various location of Brick lane Curry House and always loved the food. This is a unique Indian Restaurant which serves a spectrum of Curries unlike run of the mill Indian restaurants who just give anything in same curry. So this is a gastronomical goldmine...

Only suggestion I have is the waiters and seating staff needs to be loosen up a little bit. They all look so tensed and uptight, and non communicative as if serving a prison term... :-)"

"We shared an appetizer of cauliflower that was breaded and covered with an amazing sauce and a side of Curry Road garlic bread, delish. Our waiter recommended dishes that were not in the spicy category. My chicken kebobs on a sizzling platter was outstanding and my guest ordered lamb in a mild curry sauce that was tender and well seasoned. We finished up with rice pudding that was so creamy and aromatic. Can't wait to go back and try something new!"

"What terrible service. The restaurant's menu offers an add-on to the kabob dishes - for an extra $5 you can get a rice or bread plus a small side of one of their 10 or so sauces. But although the restaruanrt was only about 1/3 full the waiter said the kitchen was too busy to make a sauce of our onw choosing, limiting us us to one of 3 choices. All this was done without even checking with the kitchen. In the past this was never an issue."
