Rosemary's Thyme Bistro is a neighborhood restaurant with a welcoming atmosphere. Our specialties include fresh fish, kebabs, homemade pastas and brick oven pies. The liveliest time to come in is during brunch or happy hour.
"I liked my French toast but would have preferred a different side than potatoes (I found that weird, they should have amped up the tiny fruit cup). Our waiter was not very good, spoke very quickly and checked in pretty rarely. I have gone before and really enjoyed the food and service, perhaps it's hit and miss."

"Food preparation did not reflect the menu. For example Calmari dish contained very little squid and an abundance of beans, while the menu suggested otherwise. The beef Manti did NOT have one piece of beef in it. We foolishly paid $90 for three pitchers of margaritas thinking they would contain tequila, but alas they contained more ice than drink and the drink itself was almost all sour mix. The cheese pide was the only dish that was well prepared and seasoned.
The one bright side of the evening was the al fresco dinning option, but that would not be enough to bring us back to RTB."

"I generally love this restaurant - very nice food, and the window seats in the front room are fairly quiet. But the back room seems to be where they send the large group of drunken, cackling revelers and the acoustics are terrible - namely - it seems to amplify the cackling. I hate cackling If they offer you that option, I'd suggest going somewhere else."

"Had a lovely dinner with a friend from out-of-country. We sat outside and I especially appreciated the fact that our server was attentive but in no way rushed us. So often with outside tables on a beautiful night the staff want to turn the tables, and seem to push people through their dinner to do so. That was most definitely not the case here. Food was really good, drinks were yummy, and I'll be back!"

"Our expectations of a nice Easter Brunch were quickly dashed by the inattentive service and the failure to accurately execute my order. It doesn't work to sit and watch your wife receive and enjoy her meal while you wait for the correction of your omelete."

"It's long time neighborhood staple for brunch. The only thing I'd change is the noise level - though I doubt there is anything that can be done. What I really appreciate about RT is that they allow me to take my dog onto the patio in summer."

"Lovely little restaurant; amazing food and a great atmosphere. Service was good, though the waiter that I had spoke very quietly and just popped up out of nowhere which was creepy a bit."

"Food was great, but I was expecting a mediterranean restaurant. I'm never thrilled when the menu strays too far from it's roots. Example: Pina coladas for drink?"

"Went here for pasta to carb up for a half marathon, and the meal was delicious! Bottles of wine are half off for happy hour which is a great deal. Nice location on 18th street. Overall we really enjoyed it!"

"I've passed this place for ages, and have been wanting to try it. My dad and I went for brunch when he was visiting. It was fine, but just that. I had eggs florentine, which didn't really have any hollandaise sauce on it. It didn't taste bad, but wasn't really worth going out for. My dad thouht his eggs benedict was good."

"The food was YUMMY and the during HH, bottles of wine are 1/2 off. The service was pretty bad at the table, but the food definitely made up for the poor service. If you are not in a rush and don't mind a more hands off approach, then this place is a good spot."

"I absolutely loved the customer service! The staff didn't have a problem when we weren't to keen on certain foods and took the food off the check! At one point the noise was a little loud I think because of the small space but it wasn't a big problem."

"Great restaurant. Request a window cubby seat. It overlooks the neighborhood and really reduces the noise. The food was outstanding and our waiter was spot on all nightlong. I would highly recommend this p,ace to anyone."

"Just fantastic all around, one of my favorite places to go in D.C. The lamb is outstanding as well as the stuffed mushrooms. Highly reccommended for anyone looking for a hidden gem near Dupont."

"I went here for my birthday. Overall, it was good - good food for a reasonable price. The baba ganoush was very tasty (though a very small portion). Best of all - we got a free homemade cheesecake for my birthday. Our server was lovely as well"

"The food was delicious, very fresh flavors which worked together perfectly. We had a BBQ chicken pizza, and they elevated it to a serious, and delicious dish. The stuffed grape leaves and peppers were good, but not remarkable. The ambiance is great but the noise level was quite high, made it difficult to talk without leaning over the table at each other."

"we had high hopes for this place when we found it. it definitely delivered. our table was in a busy hallway but it never bothered us. the wait staff were energetic and helpful without being too pushy or intrusive. the food was excellent. we ordered the lamb pizza and the turkish sausage pide, which were both wonderful. i'm not much of a wine drinker but they what seemed to be a pretty good wine list. i'd like it if they expanded their beer selection a little. we thought that sitting outside would be nice when the weather gets nicer but there isn't much to see outside on the one side unless you want to stare at the gas station across the street. overall, we loved it and we'll be back again. maybe next time we'll bring some friends."

"I had a great time at Rosemarys Thyme Bistro! We sat at a very romantic table by the window and our meal was perfectly paced for a romantic evening! The food was delicious - we shared lamb kabobs, shared bruschetta, and shared a large salad. Everything was fantastic. The staff was attentive without being pushy. I will definetely be going back."

"My husband and I were visiting DC for his birthday. I wanted to find a place that was not overly expensive, and would be a nice surprise for him. They had great food, great service and we loved it! The staff was amazing and efficient. Our food came out quickly and it was delicious. I even told the restaurant under "special requests" that is was his birthday. Then after dinner, without me even having to talk to the waiter, they brought out dessert with a candle. My husband was so surprised.
Highly recommend this restaurant."
