"This used to be a restaurant that we visited weekly. We had a very bad experience a few months ago and hadn't gone back until this last visit. We thought we would give it another chance...should have went elsewhere. Food not to the level that it used to be ( salad not as good as usual and filet was tough and not as tasty). Service was poor. Our waiter had no personality at all and empty dishes sat on our table throughout dinner...even the manager walked by many times without picking up a plate or inquiring how everything was."

"we have been to Mark's a couple times now and the food is always fantastic. This was the first time that the service was less than desirable. our waiter acted like we were a bother and kept us waiting for long pauses between courses. after bringing our wine to our table and pouring first class, we had to pour all future glasses and our waiter did not even ask if we wanted another bottle nor did he check to see if our filets were cooked to our liking (thankfully they were). since our waiter wasn't at all pleasant I guess his lack of attention was more desirable than having him visit with his poor attitude frequently."

"We're very frequent patrons of Mark's Prime in Ocala; however, the service on this visit wasn't up to their usual excellence. Slow. Waiter forgot to order appetizers and later he mistakenly topped off half-full glass of wine with bottled water (didn't realize it until I took a drink). That was the end of the evening, so we didn't even mention it."

"April 23 2013 at 5:00 Pm My wife and I enjoyed a pleasant dinner at Mark's Prime Steak House.The food was excellent,our waiter was nice and most attentive.We ordered the sea bass and several sides.All these items were excellent.
This was a special occasion for us.This was our sixity first anniversary,but at the end of a most pleasant dining experience my NIKE sun glasses were taken from our table.This was not discovered until later after we exited the resturant.I returned to the resturant about five minutes to our table, but the sunglasses were not there. The table had been remade.With the help of the buss boy we pulled the table out,checked around the seats to no avail.

"I had a $50 twin lobster tail that just tasted fishy. My husband loved the steak. The escargot was excellent. The lyonnaise potatoes were greasy tasting.The $10 specialty drinks (we tried 3 different ones) were not good. The waiter service was attentive.

"We had a wonderful evening, celebrating mine and my twin's birthday. My family traveled from Miami to celebrate. Reservations were very easy to make, and I appreciated the call prior to the night to confirm. Everything was wonderful, the only part I was not totally satisfied with was sitting in the middle of the restaurant (we had 9 in the party) and we were a little crowded. I will definitely continue to go to Mark's and recommend it highly. Thank you!"

"Made 8:30pm dinner reservation- when I arrived I was told our table would be ready shortly. Waited 20 minutes and then was offered a table in the bar area, ask how much longer for a table in the dining room and they said 25-30 more minutes. So not wanting to wait a total of 50 minutes for a regular table with a reservation being made we took the bar table. Very loud, couldn't hear the person across the table from me talking without leaning forward and talking very loudly.
Food was okay. Calamari was fabulous! But mashed potatoes were bland, steak was good (but not outstanding like I expected for a $40 steak). Also really wanted a twice baked potato and they were out.
Server was nice and friendly. Just overall okay probably won't go"

We had an 8:00 reservation...arriving at 7:15 to enjoy a drink in the bar before hand. The bar service was awful. We had to yell for the bartender each time we needed service. At 8:30 we began inquiring as to why we had not been called for our table. When we asked for the manager, we were told that she was in the office. We were told that people were sitting to long at the tables and that we would have to wait a few minutes more. We were not seated until 9:15! And even though our waiter did a fine job, the steaks had no flavor and we were already upset."

"I will start off, with I know this is Ocala, but I would like to say that Mark's has gone a little down hill. the food and service was still fantastic, but if I am going to be paying $40 for a steak, I would like to do so not sitting next to some slob in his backward baseball hat and people who had just finished riding in their riding pants and boots. Can people not go take a shower first and could someone from the restaurant not ask the idiot to take his hat off."

"Having eaten at Mark's Prime 2 years ago, we loved the food. The filet was to die for. However, this time the filet tasted of bacon grease and was drenched in butter...not a traditional way to serve a piece of beef...also overdone. The side mushrooms were great, but the garlic potatoes were dry and tasteless. Bread nice, but served with such a small piece of butter we could not enjoy it. Waiter pleasant, but once he delivered the drinks we never saw him again until main course. Wine was poured in such small portion, for the price, it was a joke. We will not return. Too bad...it has gone so downhill in quality."
