"Had a girls night out for a 50th birthday party - group of ladies ranged from 30 to 50. The atmosphere was great - the food was amazing - and we ahad a blast. Would definately recommend"

"Being brought up in an Italian family where many of the foods featured on the menu I have had homemade, my expectations were high. The food however ranged from simple to extravagant italian dishes that were tasy and satisfying. I ordered the casarecce with rapini and sausage. This was a great dish. The pasta was delicious and the sauce used was tasty and complemented the rapini and sausage well. The atmosphere of the restaurant was noisy at times but vibrant nevertheless, and the service was friendly and helpful when making our dinner choices. Overall I would recommend this restaurant to those who are looking for creative yet authentic Italian dishes. Buon Appetito!"

"Everything about our evening at the restaurant was great ! The food was delicious. We would definitely visit again and again. One negative comment would be that we thought the desserts were way over-priced for the size of the dessert. Each dessert was $9.00 and we had three. Pieces were way too small. When we go back I would definitely skip dessert next time, and head over to Dairy Queen instead."

"The special we ordered was sold out, the dessert we ordered sold out and we tried to order a second bottle of the same wine, sold out as well. Good food, I will go back again, hopefully better luck next time."

"This restaurant needs major training of the staff and/or a management overhaul. Just because you love to cook doesnt mean you should open a large restaurant. It was the most irritating restaurant experience I have ever encountered. The management should decide if they want to offer a fast food experience or a casual, relaxed dining experience. Let the staff in on this decision. Learn to stagger your bookings. Invest in a few more wine and drink menus that are clean and up to date. One per table might be a good idea. An inspired dessert menu might help too, or does this restaurant not believe in dessert?"

"On a whim, we decided to try this place out with our two kids and we're pleasantly surprised at how delicious the food was and the impressive modern decor. The shrimp in gorgonzola garlic cream (appetizer) was rich and delicious. The warm mushroom salad was please titular and did not disappoint. I'll definitely return, and bring another couple for next time."

"A1 is downtown dining without the drive and parking headache of T.O. Atmosphere is nothing that you would expect outside Vaughan Mills Centre.Great service, GUS is the master of catering to your every wimp on and off the menu.Food and presentation are wonderful. Dined recently with clients from Italy and they were impressed with the freshness, taste quality of the food.We had a couple of old bottles of California cabs (1997 & 2000) from Napa valley that were cheap compared to where I have seen them at other dining spots in Toronto. Dont miss the signature pasta with rabbit. Lamb skewers, Burrata cheese and Pizza make for great plates to share.Wonderful spot which doesnt get the credit it deserves locally."

"Good Italian restaurant. The food portions are plenty so you feel satisfied when finished eating. I wouldn't recommend the restaurant to a family with little kids or picky young eaters because they don't have a menu for kids, so ordering something for your little one is quite challenging because you have to order it from the adults' menu and it comes in adult portions."

"My sister and I went to dinner at Autostrada and enjoyed a wonderful meal. Seafood that melted in our mouths. The atmosphere was complete with displayed wines, oils and prosciutto hams, with a little bit of highway edge from which the name Autostrada is derived. Staff were friendly with good recommendations. Portions are large and filling."

"My first time dining here and I was very impressed. The food was delicious and the options available are a mix of traditional Italian dishes with a Canadian flair. I ordered the anchiovies appetizer and walnut crusted salmon entree, these dishes surpassed my expectations. The anchiovies were prepared just as my Nonna prepares them for a family meal (which was very nice), the salmon was delicious, the walnuts really enhanced the flavour. The house merlot had a sweet after taste to it with an earthy body but didn't leave that dry feeling in my mouth which was refreshing compared to other house wines I've had. The ambiance was great with glass encassed cured meats and wine gave an authentic touch. Definitely recommend to all."

"We went to Autostrada on a Saturday night as a party of three. The restaurant was very busy and there were not enough servers to accommodate the crowds. It took a long time for us to get water, bread, food, etc. The servers were not very attentive.
The food was average, and at times, disappointing. The pizza (A24) was good, the linguine alle vongole was okay but too al dente, the grilled octopus was under seasoned, the proscuitto sharing plate is not worth the money, and I found the pasta e fagioli very underwhelming. Also, two of us ordered soft drinks. The waiter asked if we would like to have another once we were finished and we said yes. We were charged for having extra drinks even though it's a fountain drink - quite cheap!"

"Enjoyed the food. Service was good. Very busy, loud place. Good place to go out with a group of people. Would not recommend if you are looking to have a romantic dinner - tables are very close to eachother, restaurant is loud."

"The food I tasted from my family was good, although my order was not available and had to reorder and when I did it came back partially cooked. Therefore I really did not have dinner, but picked from everyone elses plate."

"Resto was quite nice. They seated us in a nice table for 4 even though we had a last minute cancellation from 2 of our guests. Our waiter Anthony was super attentive and friendly. Food was a bit too pretentious for our liking. We sent back our linguini with clams as it was way too salty and fishy tasting. Not likely to go back."

"We had a 8:30pm reservation. When I got there at 8:20 I was told they were behind because other reservations came late due to the weather but that they would seat us as close to 8:30 as possible. We waited at the bar for approx a 1/2 hour at which point the manager said she had no control when people would leave and recommended that we sit at a high table in the bar area and once our table was available they would move us. We had no choice so we did. They then moved us. By this time (approximately 9:30-9:45) they were out of the menu item that 2 of our 4 friends wanted to order. Then my husband never received his appetizer salad. And when we asked if we could get proper cloth napkins like the table beside us we were told that they ran out!"
