"Took my wife there for her Birthday. It was spectacular. Can't ask for a grander ambience. We used a TravelZoo coupon, and i think one of the things that impressed me the most was the waitstaff was gracious about it, not at all snooty. We had a great time with the sommelier. The foie gras was the best I've ever tasted...even compared to France! Fun Fun Fun. Thanks!"

"What a gorgeous dining room! Celebrating a 50th birthday there was great. The room was just exquisite. The staff numerous and very busy. The atmosphere was vibrant, warm, and friendly - not stuffy and up tight as I had supposed. Service was just right, with the perfect amount of attention - not too much or too little. The crab cake was delicious, but the gelatin feel was peculiar. Daurade and lobster were seasoned and cooked perfectly, and the portions were surprisingly large. Souffle and chocolate pyramid were beautiful and delicious. 2 glasses of wine, 2 3 course dinners, 2 cups coffee = $215 (before gratuity). Not a place to dine every night, but well worth it for special occasions. Overall, a beautiful dining experience."

"Decor. There is no other restaurant in the DFW Metroplex as elegant and old world European as the French Room. It is simply beautiful. Food: My wife and I have never been disappointed. The food is elegantly displayed and delicious. They offer three courses for $80 per person. So, while this is expensive, it is worth it for a special occasion. Service: You will not find more professional service anywhere. Period. Finally, while some people worry that a restaurant like this would be stuffy and arrogant, it is not. Our waiter Carlos brought my wife flowers and couldn't have been more friendly. The wait staff is always there for water, bread, and taking away dishes. If you want to see what a top restaurant is, try the French Room."

"The French Room continues to be the best 5 Star restuarant I have experienced here in the US and ranks up there with the star rated restuarants in Europe. My wife and I celebrated our anniversary with the 3 course fixed price menu. The prepartions were exquisite and the portions more than sufficient. The fish and the lamb were done to perfection. The appetizers were excuisite and the wine list carried a few gems (champagne and wine) that were the right fit to go with our dinner. From the greeting at the door through a simply amazing meal with impeccable service, you made our anniversary evening a most memorable event. The French Room continues to be the place to go for those very special occasions."

"This was one of the best dining experiences we have ever had. The entire staff was especially attentive - but not too much. They knew the menu and were very helpful with suggestions and extra information. The presentation of the food was like none we have ever seen - absolutely gorgeous. The atmosphere was comfortable and elegant. Just can't find fault with the experience. One thought about the price. You know up front that you'll be spending at least 80 each and, if you like wine, add more (plus tip). The entire dining experience is worth every penny - after all you would expect to pay more for the best!"

"The food was amazing and the decor was lovely. The service was very attentive, not at all pompous as you might expect at a restaurant of this caliber. Even though we knew very little about French cuisine, we felt comfortable and our waiter was quite pleasant. We told him that we were celebrating our birthdays a couple of months late, and the chef wrote happy birthday, in chocolate, on our dessert plates. It was a wonderfully sweet gesture, we were most appreciative."

"Previously, 560 was the single greatest dining experience I had ever enjoyed, but the French Room ups the ante by adding a higher attention to detail than anything I've ever experienced... and the food takes top honors from my palette for succulence, perfect preparation, and full flavors. I simply cannot wait to return!"

"Yes - a very nice restaurant in a city without a centre. The hotel is very smart, but lacks the finesse of its appearance. The staff are however charming and very attentive. The restaurant should be applauded for turning away "clientele" without jackets and wearing trainers and jeans - there will be a macdonalds somewhere close by!
Two major let downs...
1) A set price menu is not in keeping with what your are actually portraying. Price dishes individually.
2) Dont take the dessert order at the same time as the starter and main; this is ridiculous in dining places purporting to be elite.
Otherwise, great ambience, lovely staff but you can slow down a bit. I dont expect to have the order taken, eat 3 courses and be out in less than 1 hou"

"Situated in a grand, open dining room that will make you forget you are in Texas and think you are in Paris, you will settle in for an evening of perfect service and a meal you will not soon forget.
The menu is simple. Choose either a 5-course pre-set meal (no changes allowed) that can be served with wine pairings, or choose 3 courses from a wide selection of appetizers, entrees, and desserts. Both are prix fixe. Our wife and I both chose from the 3-course menu. The wine menu is ample with a wide selection.
Each bite of every course was one to remember, with complex flavors tantalizing every part of the mouth. The pace of service was perfect, never wanting for anything and never being pestered unnecessarily. Highly recommended."

"I was in town for one night and was anxious to experience The French Room. From the moment I made our reservation, I knew I was in for an exquisite evening. Although it was difficult at times to comprehend our waiter Gino due to his strong accent, he was attentive to our every need. I love Fois Gras and when Gino said the Fois Gras is the best I'll ever have, I was a bit skeptical. Boy, was I wrong! It was decadent, perfectly seared and seasoned atop a banana bread French toast. My mouth is salivating just writing about it. The prep for their tenderloin is interesting and allows for the meat to melt in your mouth. I strongly suggest sharing the souffle for dessert. It's huge! I'll look forward to another French Room experience. Thank you!"

"The food was excellent. Each member of our party had a different main and were all very satisfied.No one was disappointed with any part of the meal. The atmosphere is so elegant and for the most part the service was good. We had a bit of unprofessional moment when our server was unable to split the bill for us, but that was resolved. It was great for our special occasion and we would love to return."
