"Went here for lunch with a friend I haven't seen for years. The server spoiled us with great service. She didn't rush us to leave the table, gave us signals to use when we needed her so she wouldn't interrupt our reunion, and gave helpful insight into the menu. The food was mouth-watering delicious. Grilled salmon was perfectly done--moist with a subtle, delicious sauce. The noise level was quiet enough that we could hear our conversation, I love that. Will most definitely be going back."

"One of my favorite places to go for lunch in Santana Row. I especially enjoy the sampler platter although I have learned to order extra pita as the order never seems to have enough to share. I've had most of the items on the menu, and all are good. When I've had a complaint about my order it has been dealt with in a professional manner. Love it."

"The food and service was great! Loved it for the second time. Well worth going. Two things caught me offguard: 1) Someone in the party had a b'day and we told the waitress and although we got a candle on a desert, we were charged for it. Also, we were charged $6 for a hot tea which was luke warm and $8 for a not-so tasty double expresso. The "cheap" nature of the management put a damper on an otherwise wonderful experience."

"Waitress never told us about the weekly special which was a complimentary dessert with each entree. We knew about it but she just brought us the bill. The couple next to us didn't seem to have been asked either. We didn't say anything because we were already frustrated with the long wait for our food.
In addition, my wife asked for dressing on the side for her salad (our only special request) but when it arrived fully dressed, she chose not to say anything because she didn't want to wait another thirty minutes for a remake.
Last time, I was there I got the Chicken Souvlaki and the chicken was completely raw. Coupled with this poor experience, this will be my last time eating at Thea. Too many other good options in Santana Row."

"The food at Thea's was excellent , our waitress could have been more attentive and also seemed not to really care if we had a dining experience or not . We were a group of four women and the reatuarant was not busy but she seemed not to really care or really recommend food or drinks. I don't think I will be back had a better experience at OPA both in Los Altos and WIllow Glen . It was also very pricey and we had no drinks or dessert."

"I have been to Thea many times. It was not as good as it usually is. Perhaps we caught them on an off night. My favorite dish is the Garides - usually the prawns are large and cooked two perfection, this time they were small and over cooked. We also got the sampler of spreads and the pita served with it didn't seem fresh like it had been sitting out since lunch."

"Thea could be a great restaurant, but it's not. The space is very interesting, with really high ceilings and a nice feel. The service is typically awful--extremely slow and often indifferent. This past visit the service was better, but it seemed like we were lucky in that our server seemed to care and the restaurant was mostly empty. The food is definitely overpriced. We ordered a hummus appetizer, which was literally a single ice-cream scoop of hummus and four small flatbreads, at cost of $12. The entrees were generally fine, but nothing was excellent. Overall, it's not a terrible place, but it's not great, and not worth the money."

"Thea's is always a fun place for group dining. The food and ambiance are great! Went out with girlfriends and ordered a lot! We particularly like the Dates wrapped in bacon and the Scallops dish.

"I was really excited by the menu, but did not particularly enjoy my meal and neither did my date. It was just okay for me and my boyfriend thought his was over-salted. "We recently took our daughter here for her 16th birthday. Food was ok, very small portions for the extremely high pricing. Our family of 5 was over $250 :(. We ordered one cocktail and it was not portioned well nor mixed- after adding juice twice neither my husband nor I could drink it- was comparable to lighter fluid :(. Service was great and decor is beautiful. But for Greek food- I would have appreciated more actual authentic Greek fare..... $12 for a small bowl of fries and 3/4 of the menu containing eggplant( which 3 kids are not interested in) was a bit much. We were disappointed ... Would have loved to have seen some Pastitsio, Fassolatha and Saganaki on the menu choices."

"The food was fabulous. But the loud disco music that started after we sat down ruined the experience. The music wasn't on when we arrived for our 7:00 reservation, otherwise we probably wouldn't have stayed, but it came on around 7:15. People are eating dinner in a lovely restaurant with excellent food, not going in for a bar scene. The music doesn't fit the genre and ruined what was supposed to be a nice Valentine's Day dinner."

"I couldn't fill out the noise - as it was TERRIBLE ... too loud and we had to talk loud to hear the person one seat away - all of us - including the young adults - the music was ANNOYING ANNOYING ANNOYING - loved the food but would never choose thea again because you couldn't carry on a conversation - it was terribleON TOP OF THAT - it was my birthday and I had actually made the reservations and told them it was for a birthday - THERE WAS ABSOLOUTELY NO ACKNOWLEDGEMENT BY THE SERVER ABOUT THAT - i don't know who messed up .. the person taking the reservations or what - but that was very badI cannot say enough about the TERRIBLE ACOUSTICS in that place - you need to hang pretty cloth banners from the ceiling or something to soften the no"

"Very good selection of quality choices. Four of us went there for a simple Monday night meal. It was our first time so sampled the humus and flat bread for apetizers. For our entrees everyone went in different directions yet no one had any compliants. I had the filet which was as tender as could be. Flavors were fantastic. Great place to bring a group of even the most finiky eaters. I also thought the prices were very reasonable for quality and ambiance."
