"Not much was good about the food. Soup broth was very bland, meats did not get any seasoning or sauces and fried rice was barely edible. Nobody at our hibachi grill really touched their fried rice. Decor is worn, you can tell this was established in the 70's.
All in all, I'd try another spot if you're in the mood for hibachi grill."

"Took my daughter and 5 of her friends there for her 11 Birthday Party. Was a great experience - everyone had a very good time. Enjoyed the food and especially the service - very good chef. I would recommend highly recommend for a group. I would even recommend for couples or an adult group - would just book this later in the evening."

"Fantastic food- the best Hibachi in Atlanta! Portions are extremely generous and the staff was pretty much on top of table service. We sat with lots of friendly people and had a good conversation while watching our chef put on a great show.

"While I recommend highly, I still compare to Mt. Fuji that was located in Marietta GA. (but no longer in business) I rated Mt. Fuji a 10+ and Nakato an 8. I will return to Nakato. The staff was excellent and the barkeep John was highly knowledgeable in his craft, engageable and personable."

"Interestingly, I called the restaurant directly earlier in the day for a reservation for 4 at 7p and was told they had walk ups only. Then, while I was on the phone with the restaurant getting shot down, I went on line to Open Table and got a reservation for 4 at 7p in a matter of seconds. We showed up at 7p and sat right away because of the Open Table reservation. The restaurant came this close to losing a $200 tab. Other then that, this is not my first time thru. It's my kids favorite place to go. Also my fav Hibachi in ATL. Entree prices are as reasonable as you want them to be. No pressure to buy up. Plenty good food, plenty of attention and the show is fun. Does not seem to get old for the kids."

"We have visited this restaurant before and gotten great service. So that's why I was surprised at how awful if was this time. I was with a group of friends who had never been. Our server even though they asked for suggestions had nothing to say. We asked about the sushi list but again he said nothing. So we ordered from the menu. We saw the people at another table ordering from a different menu and asked them about it. It was the sushi menu. When our waiter returned we let him know one of us wanted to change our order. He told us it was to late. I couldnt believe that. We will not return. He was awful. We couldnt even get refills because he never returned to our table."

"The staff and the atmosphere was exceptional. It is a very nice property, with a comfortable dining area and pleasant ambiance.
The only complaint I have is the quality of the cut of steak. 28 dollars for the 16 ounce steak, but the cut of meat was not that good. It seemed a bit "chewy". It was cooked as requested (medium-rare), but the value just didn't seem to be there."

"I had high hopes for this one, as an alternative to the increasingly uncaring just-put-bodies-in-the-seat Benihana, and was not disappointed at all. Great food, drinks were surprisingly good, service was good, don't really have any complaints about the first time here (except for maybe the parking, right in front of the restaurant is for the valet parking, self-parking is very awkward to get to). Even liked the mini gardens in the back of the restaurant! Definitely recommend you try out this great hibachi spot."

"We went for my husbands birthday and had a great time. The only down fall was that we were at a table with 4 children. Although they were very well behaved, it took away from our romantic evening. "What can you say about a great restaurant like Nakato. For starters, if the place has been in the same location since 1972 and the food is still spot on after all that time...they have to be doing something right! We opted for a more secluded dining experience instead of the hibachi experience. A must try for anyone that loves a savory dinner is the sukiyaki. Full flavored, yet not overpowering, and very filling...word to the wise, "Their is a reason they say to split it among 2 or more people."
Not to forget, they probably have the best sushi in Atlanta."

"For a Hibachi style restaurant, the food was not diverse and did not serve the typical items on a menu related to this type of establishment. The food was not equivalent in quality compared to prices. I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone seeking a high quality Hibachi restaurant."

"This is normally our favorite go-to Hibachi place in Atlanta. However, this night something was off. Our cook was rude, did not interact with the table, constantly rolled his eyes at any request we might had and did not divide the portions well among the table. We will be back, but this was a shock to us."
