"Took the family (4) for Mother's Day. A little disappointed that they had made a special Mother's Day brunch menu as I had my mouth all set for the regular menu. The food though made up for it and I left very satisfied. I would suggest in the future to leave the regular menu intact and add a few special brunch items for the holiday if desired, or at least make the customers aware when they are booking reservations that menu will not be as expected. Thanks for you consideration and I will be back!"

"We were celebrating a friend's birthday that night with dinner and concert. I left a note in the comments section to the restaurant of the special occasion and the birthday girls name. I thought the restaurant would acknowledge with a lighted candle on the desserts or at least a Happy Birthday from the hostess or server at some point in the meal. It was apparent when we left that they don't read the comments left for them. Other than that over sight, our whole experience was wonderful."

"We both ordered the special of the evening, Swordfish over mashed potatoes with a sauce. It had a very nice presentation but we both felt it needed more flavor. It was rather tasteless overall."

"Unfortunately, I have tried to like this restaurant several times and it remains fairly mediocre. We had a particularly surly waiter this time which added to our dismay. Is it so hard for Chico to have a couple good places to eat and hang out??"

"Valentine's night a terrible experience. Despite our reservation, had to wait in a crowded space for 1/2 hour before being sandwiched between two other couples at a very small table. Waiter greeted others who took their seats well after we did and continued to ignore us for some time. Other tables were served much faster the entire evening. The waiter was somewhat rude at times and un-classy; not what you're hoping for from an "upscale" restaurant, especially when they spring a menu on you that is not their usual, forcing you to pay a ridiculously high, set price for a ridiculously small selection of terrible food. Wanted to leave but didn't want to feel embarrassed. I will not support this establishment any more. Bad business all around."

"Loved all 3 visits to CM! Food is really really good. Service is great! Lovely to dine in the fine atmosphere, the staff is very pleasant. The art work on the walls (wine bottles) beautiful! My daughter and son in law are permanent fixtures in Chico, and this is her favorite place to dine. So we celebrated her Birthday there. We will be back again in the near future!"

"We went on a Friday night and the place was pretty full. However the seating was spread out enough you were not nudging the people sitting next to you. Also it was a more energetic night however I think on a weekday evening it would be a great date night place. The fish we had was excellent and our server was great. My biggest complaint about restraunts is not keeping up with drjnks( especially water) however we never felt forgotten but were not smothered if that makes sense. They had a great drink menu as well for whatever you are looking for."

"Starting with the good: go for drinks at the bar. Great bar tenders with good service. Went for Valentines Day. Arrived on time for our reservation but got seated 40 minutes later. Ordered flowers to be there at the table, the hostesses did not mention it and after awhile of being at our table I asked about them and they brought them to the wrong table. The shrimp and lobster bisque just tasted and felt like corn meal/masa thickener. The cod was oily. The prime rib was tough at medium rare and bland. It was a set price menu which the price wasn't announced nor was the menu online. Neither was the 18% service fee. The service was standard at best, definitely not worth what they charged. I've heard similar stories from others."

"Dinner here was nice. It is a little loud in the restaraunt and very romantic. The food was great. Had to send one of the dinners back due to saltiness...My Wife and I ordered the exact smae thing and it came out very different...They fixed the problem and both meals were excellent.
Dinner there before was excellent. Some of the best fish specials I can recall ever having."

"Food was good to even excellent, in some cases. Wait staff was slow and no more than moderately inattentive, actually decided against having dessert because enduring the wait to be served was unappetizing. Wasn't too busy, not sure of the reason for the slower service. Noise level was acceptable for carrying on a conversation, though tables are a bit close together (overall the space is small). Price was reasonable, dinner for three under $100, even with cocktails before being seated (though no alcohol was ordered with dinner). Have dined at CM's before, and will do so again, this just wasn't the best experience had so far."
