"We had a lovely time for Mother's Day. Our waitress was fabulous, considering I knocked over drink glasses - twice! The busboys were on top of it! Food was very good, it might be a bit noisy if you have a problem hearing, but when I requested a quiet corner, they gave us the quietest one they had. I would definitely recommend Luckys. I hear the dinner menu is pricey, but the brunch was very reasonable."

"I reserved a table 4 weeks in advance. My daughters graduation. When we arrived we we seated at a table in the corner right in front, even though the place was pretty much empty. I asked to be moved. They moved us to another table. Not what I had reserved. After spending over 450.00 for 4 people, I will tell you that the waitress was great. I dined at the Stonehill down the road the previous nite. It was amazing. The attention to service and customer satisfaction was superb."

"The usual 5 stars. We're here once a week; this time in the bar with family and a 15 month old. Guy did his usual great service job in making sure dinner went smooth. Recommend the chopped salad, peppered filet, hash browns and turtle sunday. My wife thinks the abalone is the best in Santa Barbara. Nice wine selection, and the bar knows how to make a drink!"

"It wa okay but it's really over rated if you ask me, especially for the price. I have no problem paying these kind of prices but I want and expect more for it."

"Absolutely fabulous menu wonderful food and service. Matzah Ball soup just like Mother's Much to noisy hard to talk . Could have been crowd there . Expensive but well worth it. Will definitely try again and recomend to friends but tell them it is not quiet and romantic. Large portions most difficult thing was deciding which of all wonderful choices to select"

"My husband & I were celebrating a special occasion at Lucky's. it was the perfect spot. The ambiance was inviting, comfy, quiet and romantic. Our server was fantastic--very knowledgeable, highly attentive and very friendly. The food was amazing. I highly recommend the french onion soup & petite filet mignon with bernaise sauce. My husband truly enjoyed their delectable bone in rib eye steak. We look forward to coming back soon and trying some of their other menu items."

"The quality of Lucky's beef is overstated in their menu. At best they offer a select grade. I always suspected this and it was confirmed when I brought a guest and he was sadly disappointed with his steak. Being a meat purveyor he knows his stuff when it comes to beef. Paying over $50 for a select grade of beef is nonsense. Stick to the abalone!"

"Lets jus start with the fact that we have found the World's Best Crab Cakes. My wife is a serious crab cake lover, and without exageration, neither of us have ever had better. Tons of crab, cooked perfectly. All the food was cooked to perfection, including my grass fed filet. And, our server was excellent. The staff we encountered were friendly and professional. We've driven by it many times not noticing it, but thanks to OT, we've found a new favorite for our trips to Santa Barbara/Montecito. Even if it's just a visit to the bar for crab cakes and a drink, I highly recommend Lucky's. You will not be dissappointed"

"The food was excellent, tasty, and well prepared; the presentation was also very well done.
The ambiance was warm and friendly; the walls of the restaurant were covered with classic photos of old Hollywood legends including movie stars, commedians, musicians and other famous celebrities. And the wine list was phenomenal, with a great selection of domestic and foreign wines!
The wait staff at Lucky's were extremely attentive to details, very helpful and prompt! They may us feel right at home; we will be back to visit Lucky's again very soon!!!"

"On a Monday night--Lucky's was jumping. Steaks were, as expected, excellent. But so was the chicken pot pie, Brussels sprouts, out of this world artichoke hearts, and hash browns with Gruyere. We were lucky enough to enjoy farm raised abalone appetizers. We remember why everybody used to love the delicacy. Lucky's is pricey. You get what you pay for."

"I often visit from the east coast, and love the ambiance of Lucky's. I love the photos of all my favorite movies stars from the 40's and 50's. I love the chic decor, black and white, cool and crisp and sleek. One expects Humphrey Bogart, Frank Sinatra or Clark Gable to pop up at the next table.
It was Sunday night and we had the Sunday special rib roast and Yorkshire pudding. A side order of thin crispy onion rings. Pretty great plate on a white tablecloth heaped with feather-light rings. And good salads too.
Our entrees which came a bit too rare, were graciously returned to the kitchen and came back quickly cooked to perfection.
Handsome, genial waiter, and efficient valet parking. I love this place."

"Lucky's is a constant and that's a very good thing. The Rumanian Steak is the only one on the menu that's marinated and it's fantastic. Order charred on the outside and medium on the inside.
Lucky's is one of those places that employs professional servers and Robert is no exception. Friendly, professional and courteous, a winning combo. There are lots of wonderful eateries in the area but it's difficult to go elsewhere when you know what you're going to get at Lucky's."

"I had appetizers a couple of months ago on another short trip to Santa Barbara from LA and looked forward to dining with my husband when he an I traveled north. Service was great, appetizers and salad outstanding. I ordered Lamb and mu husband the special which was albacore. He felt there was too much butter and my lamb was just OK. Not the great flavor that I was expecting. The atmosphere is beautiful and I' m glad we went but we both were dissapointed"

"The steaks are just okay at Lucky's - at these prices you would expect them to be top notch, but they don't compare to other well known steakhouses in the US i.e. Smith & Wollensky, Strip House, Peter Luger, or even chain steak houses Palm, Flemmings or Sullivans. This is obviously a place to be see in Montecito on Friday or Saturday night, but the food is just fair."

"Enjoyed a very casual Sunday "off the menu" brunch in the bar. Great bloody mary and friendly service. Our bartender/waiter is really fantastic guy. Nice lunch menu is offered, sandwiches and salads. The pastrami and reuben sandwiches were good, although the french fries were "soggy" and tasteless. Overall, we prefer this restaurant for dinner - the steaks are excellent as are the potato skins. We would return for brunch, however would probably order eggs benedict and homefries. Soggy french fries are a no-no in an upscale restaurant, the chef should remember this."

"Lucky's gave us very special services for our Valentine's Day dinner. The matre'd was very attentive and went above and beyond to take care of us. We really appreciated the personal attention. The staff were also very attentive and knowledgeable of their food and drink. We had a great evening and meal at Lucky's"

"The food was excellent and the service was top-notch. The only drawback was our table. It was partly in a doorway and is part of the natural walkway between two rooms. We informed our server (who was great!) and she comp'd our dessert, which was the best cheesecake we've ever had. Overall, it's a great restaurant and we will go back."
