Welcome to Maykadeh Restaurant, where Persian tradition and a thousand years of history come together and creates one of the most unique restuarants in North America.
We also serve halal food in addition to our regular menu and many of our customers love us for the quality and exceptional taste of our dishes!
"I am persian and this is probably the worst persian restaurant that I've ever been to. The waiter was very ignorant and rude, he completely ignored speaking to my guest, and even though I was speaking in english, he kept replying farsi to me which I later found that made my guest uncomfortable. The Fesenjaan stew was terrible. Way too sweet. The Bademjaan (eggplant) stew was very good. I ordered zereshk polo (rice) but they brought the wrong kind and when I explained this is not what I ordered, first they refused to change it and later, they brought me plain rice. Even though we didn't touch the Fesenjan stew because it was too sweet, the waiter neglected to ask how the food was. Overall, I DO NOT recommend this place."

"We wanted to try something different on Saturday night. Made reservations and headed out from home which is not too far away. When we walked in there were only maybe 3 tables occupied. They quickly seated us and gave us the menu. It took a while for anyone to take our orders. The waitress was not very friendly. Our food arrived quickly and I was delicious. We were never asked how we were doing once we received our meal. I noticed the manager walked around to a few of the tables to say hi but not ours. I might go back again but would go with a group of friends."

"My second time here. The Barg was a little too salty. The waitress wasn't very attentive and forgot some of the stuff we ordered. Until we were able to get her attention again to ask for the missing plate, the food got a little cold.
The food quality is excellent, only if not for the slow service."

"The smell as soon as you walk in is not the most inviting. Also, I think a renovation is due to improve the ambiance. The restaurant cancelled my open table reservation even though I are and paid. The food is as always , outstanding , which is why I return. But I always have out of town visitors and wish the ambiance was improved. A new modern look is due."

"My wife recent took a liking to Iranian/Persian food. I found Maykadeh among a list of top SF Persian restaurants. Good rating and not to far from me in North Beach, so I made a reservation for Valentine's Day. The food and service was impeccable. My wife may be on to something with her new zest for Persian! Maykadeh is easily top 5 restaurant in North Beach. For Little Italy, that says a lot. The only negative - a number of the two tops are super close to one another. Can get a bit claustrophobic."

"Maykadeh Restaurant is always a treat. I enjoy the atmosphere and international flair it offers. The Restaurant itself has beautiful stlyle the owners photography graces the walls showing a Persian polish. The food is fresh & cooked to perfection. It's a consistency I am rewarded every time. Good food served with cheer surrounded by an international family of sorts! When I think to celebrate I think Maykadeh!"
