"This was a business function and my first visit to Rush.... I was thoroughly impressed. We made an on-line reservation in the lounge for a more casual evening. Food & service was excellent and exceeded expectations. Even the hassle free no charge valet parking was much better than expected."

"We sat at the bar and had dinner for my birthday. I started with the foie gras, lobster, duck gravy POUTINE ( DELICIOUS), then had the striploin and was treated to dessert.
rush lounge will forever be a favorite of me and my friends =)"

"They reserved a table in front of the band that was very loud, we could not hear our selves screaming to each other. We found other areas in the restaurant that would have been more appropriate, we discovered them later after we had started our meal, the service was prompt but without passion, every one we met where serious, not a happy place.
The appetizers are wonderful however the main courses are expensive for what you get."

"I decided to try Rush after hearing a number of outstanding reviews from friends and family. The first impression was very positive - hostess station was well-staffed and I was seated immediately. They also offered to check my coat at the door, which was a nice touch.
The wait staff throughout the meal was very attentive and polite, and my water glass never reached empty (one of my benchmarks for attentive service).
My dining companion and I each had the rush hour special, which was a 3 course set menu with a guarantee it will be ready in under half an hour. This was a good option for us since we had an early play to catch afterwards. The food itself was good, flavorful, but would not rate in my top 10 in Calgary.

"Lounge Side was a great choice for lunch. Beautiful windows and great service. The meal was brought out in a reasonable time, and our waitress was well versed in the specials and being able to answer all of my questions about each dish. We booked a reservation for 3. The third person in our party was late and about half way through our meal a 4 person joined us. We were well accommodated without any fuss at all, and I quite enjoyed the presentation of each meal. Especially the small details like their coffee cups and saucers and ketchup bowls. Great place. Will go again."

"Food not bad, portions European size but prices are expensive. Table was way to big for 4 people, with music you felt like you had to shout. Service was very patchy - we were left sitting for over 10 mins before anyone came to ask us about drinks. I had to wave a waitress over - she was clearly ticked off and annoyed with us (who's paying the bill???) thankfully another waitress replaced her about 15 mins later and she was excellent. Would I go back? probably not - far better places in Calgary for a lot less $$$ - example Sugo."

"I didnt realise when I made the reservation it was for the lounge and not the dining room. There was a live band and we were sat right in front of them, which wasn't condusive to sitting having dinner with the girls. They did move us to a table behind the bar which was a little quieter but I'm still not sure how i didnt realise it was in the lounge and not the restaurant. This could be clearer in Open Table."

"Rush is a great spot to eat - beautiful and love the cosy interior of the Lounge.
Our waitress was great, very knowledgable and friendly but over the course of our lunch we we felt that the wait staff was almost too eager to check on how our meals tasted - we were asked 3 times by 3 different people. It was almost disruptive but it was nice to see that they cared.
The food was delicious - I really liked the combination of the spice, lemon juice and other flavors of my spaghetti."

"Beautiful restaurant but the food was expensive and you receive extremely small portions. Steaks come with one side and if you want vegetables the cost is extra. We had expected the service to be superb but the staff are young and not experienced enough to deliver a flawless execution. Rush had an amazing vocalist the night we were there and our overall experience was good."

"Not our first visit as we enjoy the food, atmosphere, service and on the weekends Entertainment. The lounge act were wonderful and helped contribute to the overall experience. I had the Pickerel and it was done to perfection, the quinoa side was the best and little elk tortellini finished my dish. My husband had the steak which was cooked to order and whatever else he had on his plate vanished. We enjoyed sharing the triplex of creme brûlée which was outstanding. We both had a white Cosmo to start which were ordered really light on the juice, it was not mixd to our liking and not easy on the juice. We switched to a fine bottle of Pino Grigio which we enjoyed. Great date night."

"Lovely atmosphere. I had the most lack lustre Salad Nicoise ever. The tuna was bland, there were two extremely small green beans, they were so small couldn't even tell they were beans really. Nothing to the small amount of dressing.....The companions pasta looked good."
