"For a restaurant noted as one of the best steak houses in the country, I was served a Kings cut prime rib which did not impress me. I requested medium rare and was served a rare and some what fatty cut of beef. I have been served a better cut of beef for less. The spouses lobster thermadore was well received though. We ordered the Glenora Riesling and were served a nice, but different Washington State riesling. Did not notice or bother to note the error. We were billed for the Glenora. We used a discount cupon, so felt it covered any lapse in quality."

"They advertise themselves as a top 10 steak house in the country and this is 100% not true. The food is overpriced and no where near what you would get at a place like Russells. We arrived for our reservation a little early, and were rushed out of there. We sat down and were rushed to order, with the server returnng 3 times in a 5 minuite span to see if we were ready. She did not even allow time to review the menu. Our plates were cleared quickly and items we wanted boxed were thrown away. We were not asked if we were done, or if we wanted boxes. The steak lacked any depth of flavor and the garlic mashed potatoes were over mixed and gummy. The service was horrendous and I have had a better steak at Outback."

"Excellent experience all around. I had the 12 oz strip that was near perfection....great flavor and texture and cooked medium rare as ordered. "We visited for Buffalo Restaurant Week. Classic steakhouse in the Hyatt Hotel. The prime rib was excellent, popover a little overdone and I could have used more "au jus" with the meal. However, it was restaurant week...so it was quite busy. The service wss great. Wine list was decent. I hear the strawberry cheesecake was fine too."

"Nice atmosphere, very good service. Average to below average food, very disappointing. Terrible beer selection. This place is way overrated, it's not terrible but my expectations were higher as they tout themselves one of the top 10 steakhouses in America, I'm not sure who did the survey, they are not top 10 in NYS, maybe not even top 10 in WNY. The Friar's Table is far superior. I don't recommend it."

"From the moment we entered the resturant until we left, it was a most pleasant experience. Mary Sullivan, our waitress, was very attending and checked back often to make sure we were enjoying our meal and inquiring if we needed anything more. She informed the piano player that it was our wedding anniversary and he made sure he played romantic melodies to add to our enjoyment of the evening. All in all we will diffinitely be returning."

"My friends and I enjoyed an evening at E.B. Green's during Local Restaurant Week. The choices provided were a nice sampling of the regular menu. The prime rib dinner was served just as requested and the baked potato, salad and yorkshire pudding were perfect. The service was attentive but not overwhelming. We all thoroughly enjoyed our meal and the evening out. It certainly deserves its' reputation as a fine dining destination."

"This was my 2nd time at this restaurant, first time being about 10 years ago. Back then I had their signature Porterhouse steak and I clearly remember that I wasn't that impressed, not much flavor so was never compelled to return. This time I returned with a date who had never been there and I had a coupon. She ordered the filet and I ordered the steak au poivre, both medium with a side of roasted veggies. My date thought her steak was ok but not much flavor, same as I thought 10 years ago. My steak was much better this time, had nice flavor and I liked what I believe is their reduction sauce or maybe just the juices from the steak? My steak was well done but tolerable so didn't say anything and veggies very good. Nice but over priced!"

"Listed as # 2 for 2013 on a list of the top 10 steakhouses in America, maybe I was epecting too much; it WAS very good, to be sure, but I wouldn't say it was "oustanding" or even close to it! The serice was quite good, but could hav been little mor attentive (such as the waitress forgetting to bring me the requested lemon wedge for my lobster bisque soup, or that soup being "warm" but not nearly as HOT as is could/should have been.
The prices were not unfair compared to other high end steakhouses in other parts of the country, but for Buffalo, they were somewhat high. For my money, I'd rather pay a bit more and go to a Ruth's Chris steakhouse, but there are none in the Western NY area. The room itself was gorgeous."

"Have been going here for many years. This year was a little disappointing. value used to be excellent. It was always expensive but we always felt we got what we paid for. Not this time..steak size was reduced to 12 oz for their premier strip steak and the price went up. 41.00 for a 12 oz strip is a little much Mr Snyder. 12 oz is not A big steak. Same with the filet. the steaks used to melt in mouth , both our steaks were a bit overdone and the signature garlic bread was cold and tasted stale. Service as always is great, but the food is taking a dive. Lemon meringue pie was mostly meringue, crust was good but that's it. Drinks were good. Service and ambience is always good but this time the food quality took a noticeable decline"

"We had heard some much about the steak house. Service was great.....However the rib eye bone in which my husband and father order did not live up...My mom and I split the filet and lobster was very good.
If I went again I would order the special roast beef which was excellent value.
Over all very nice but did not live up to the rating of number 2 steak house in America.

"In general, I've heard great things about this rewstaurant and was excited to take my mother there for my birthday. The ambiance was great, with a piano player in the background and soft lighting, and the service was also great. However, the lobster humidor (suggested by server) was awful. The lobster was overcooked and chewy, and there was WAY too much cheese. It ruined my whole meal. Additionally (out of the restaurants control), there was a 62-year old man and unidentifiable woman on a first date and the man was talking very loudly, which also contributed to my displeasure. He might as well have been sitting at our table."

"My boyfriend and I went to EB Greens for the first time to celebrate valentine's day. The ambiance was nice and romantic, the piano player was phenomenal. We were seated quite quickly in a separate room from the main dining area. I only wished we could hear the piano player as that would've added to the atmosphere. I ordered the Queen Prime Rib and My boyfriend ordered the Lamb. Both were cooked to perfection. The salad was fantastic. I had ordered mine without Cheese and the dressing on the side. At first the waitress brought back a plate with cheese, but upon acknowledgement of the error she promptly corrected the issue. A entertainment book coupon made the meal a special value, would eat here again for a special occasion. A nice treat!"

"E.B. Green's is always an excellent dining experience. This last visit was absolute best! Mary, Mike, and the rest of the staff made us feel so welcomed on our special night out. We always get their prime rib as it is always done so well. Especially love their house salad. We keep coming back as they are consistently excellent in all they do."

"I took my boyfriend for his Birthday and we enjoyed every minute. We were sat for our reservations right away. Both of us had never been to EB Greens and our server Patrick was great to tell us all about the menu. I thought it was going to be real costly for a minimal amount of food, but I was delighted to know we recieved a salad and baked potatoe with each dinner entire. We ordered a bottle of wine, two appetizers, and ordered the Porthouse for two, which actually came with two salads and potatoe, instead of having to share! And we also got one vegetable side (creamed corn) which is for two. It was a great night, and our bill only came to $156.00 with all that delicious food, and generous portions."
