"Eleven Eleven has always been my favorite to take out of town company. The menu wasn't as inventive as I remembered; the wild boar pasta was a bit too al dente; and the snapper special was not special: it wasn't tasty -- very plain. Service was superior."

"We are military and found 1111 Mississippi early on. We have dined there several times and have always enjoyed the whole experience! We are now relocating and it was on our places to eat list before we left!!! The food is amazing and the service is perfect."

"The crab cakes and the zucchini fritters were not well seasoned . The sauce for the BLT was minimal and the bread was dry. The wait time for our food was long and there was no explanation given. Noodles in the shrimp(seafood) fettuccine were overcooked.
The table bread was very good and the shrimp bisque was quite flavorful.(it could have used a few pieces of shrimp) The demi-glace on the beef medallions was too sweet. The salads were delicious and presentations of the food in general were excellent.
Not at all like I remembered it. Maybe they have a new chef! I should have told the manager when he stopped by , but I guess I didn't know where to start.

"Eleven Eleven Mississippi continues to please. When I first moved to St. Louis a few years ago this was one of the first restaurants to which I was introduced. This visit was no less pleasing than my first. I started the mixed green salad with a strawberry champagne dressing. The salad was crisp, the dressing exactly the right amount and the flavor...well, you simply have to try it for yourself. Sweet and bubbly, light and refreshing without any overly tart overtones. I also had the ribeye with potatoes. The ribeye was cooked to perfection. The potatoes however were placed beneath the steak and absorbed a bit too much of that grease, plus it seemed they were cooked in butter. Delicious, but a tad greasy. Plating should change."

"Beautiful space and good atmosphere, but the food just wasn't worth the price. The crab cakes fell flat and my entree(spicy shrimp/scallops/mussels linguini) was not that good. My husband said his salmon was okay. Our server did a good job, but I just couldn't go back and spend that amount of money for what I ate. There are just too many other great places in St. Louis."

"My husband and I were both sorry we hadn't been to eat at 1111 before now, since they will be celebrating their 10 year anniversary in November, because we loved it! We loved the atmosphere, the food and the service was great! No complaints at all, except that they accidentally hit "cancel" on our reservation with Open Table when we arrived instead of "confirm", but they assured me they would fix it when I called on Monday."

"Second time at this restaurant. At once, I knew that the place was in the weeds. Chaos at the host desk. Our table which was right at the top of the stairs where no table should be. Each waiter toting a service tray over my head gave me visions of wearing someone Else's dinner. Our waiter was inept at best. I think. Couldn't really hear him anyway. The lighting was way too low. My app, although "OK", suffered from a lack of care in plating. My ribeye, ordered medium rare, was medium. Once again, sloppy plating was the rule. Nothing artful about any of the presentations. The quality of ingredients at this restaurant is top rate, they need to learn how to better manage high volume. Wine list is chock full of great wine values."

"We went to Eleven Eleven Mississippi in march and we were blown away by everything. The food was some of the best we've had in STL to date. We liked it so much that when my cousin came to town this past weekend, we took her and her husband there. This time the food was very bland and boring. My cousin and her fiancee we're very unimpressed. So, whether or not you'll get good food there is uncertain based on my experience."

"I have been to 1111 several times. This visit had strengths -- my wife's grouper and the service from our waiter -- and weaknesses -- the noise level made it difficult to have a conversation and my italian pizza was bland and very oily. It was probably authentic, but it was different from my previous experience and won't be repeated."

"My fiance and I went and absolutely enjoyed every aspect of our meal! The service was great, not rushed and not crowded. We did not think the price was terrible for the great food and service we received.
If you go, you must order the butterscotch panna cotta (and a glass of milk).
We will definitely be going back!"

"Wish we could write in ABSOLUTELY when recommending 1111 Mississippi. Re: noise in the restaurant ... during lunchtime it was great to hear a little buzz but very pleasant to carry on a conversation with my guest. Re: food ... the dressing on the salad was light and not overly done, the fish stew was GREAT!!!"
