"There are several new dishes on the menu (beside the ever-changing-but-always-delicious mussels and pizza di giorno). The sauce for the new grilled chicken raviolis was very salty due to the parm rinds, but you'll never find a more flavorful or intense chicken dish!"

Review 2 for Primo at the JW Marriott Starr Pass Resort & Spa
"The food just keeps getting better and better! The mussels du jour this time were cooked in Calvados and cream - terrific! The cannolis are made with tuiles, not dough, so are super light and delicious. The octopus salad, beet salad, etc. were all great, as usual."

"The entire experience was simply outstanding. The manager called me four hous before our reservation as they had several large groups coming and wanted to ensure we were not delayed in any manner. Attention to detail = Great Customer Service."

Review 11 for Primo at the JW Marriott Starr Pass Resort & Spa
"If the pork belly special is available, don't miss it: soft, crispy, salty, with tangy parsnip puree and sweet cider reduction - delicious! They will customize pizzas, which my husband always prefers, and next time I'm going to ask for one with the soft egg with proscuitto."

Review 14 for Primo at the JW Marriott Starr Pass Resort & Spa
"The mussels du jour and pizza du jour were both delicious, and seem to be never repeated, even after several months. The chef is not new anymore, but he's always coming up with new dishes - don't miss the new octopus salad (but ask them to take it easy on the dressing)."

Review 17 for Primo at the JW Marriott Starr Pass Resort & Spa
"If the bistro steak is available, don't miss it - it's rare to find hanger steak anywhere, and the flavor is fabulous! The new lamb meatballs on the new happy hour menu are really good, too."

Review 19 for Primo at the JW Marriott Starr Pass Resort & Spa
"After having tried the Primo while in Orlando, we were excited to try the Tucson location. We were not disappointed. It was a Thursday so it was very quiet. The wine list was adequate, but we did not like the two cabs available "by the glass". I had duck and my husband had the lamb, which were both done to perfection."

Review 21 for Primo at the JW Marriott Starr Pass Resort & Spa
"Food was marginal to poor and very expensive for what was served, service was poor. The duck sauce was too sweet and spiced, more like a topping for a spice cake instead of duck. The mushroom plate was bland without any separate flavors of the mushrooms, the chanterelles weren't fresh as the server claimed. The mussel appetizer was bland.
Wine was good.
It's too bad that Primo is not a first class restaurant, I get tired of driving to Sunrise for a good meal, but this is the third and last time I make that mistake."
