"We were placed in a corner at our request which was outside next to the gate which goes form the outside to the inside. While we were having dinner employees kept walking back and forth through the gate bringing in supplies like wine and food to the inside. I think they should have waited until our dinner was finished beofre they did this."

"I do not recommend this restaurant at all. Although the food was very good, the treatment we received from the hostess was unacceptable. She gave us two choices for seating (even though I made an Open Table reservation in advance): the small booth immediately inside the door or a table in the bar area where we could barely move and couldn't hear each other talk because it was so loud. Bar patrons were two or three deep and very loud. I realize this happens at bars but this table was totally unacceptable. I asked to be reseated and our only options were outside or at another small booth way at the back of the restaurant. We chose the booth. At least we could hear each other but it wasn't comfortable. See below."

"Went to Brooklyn Cafe with a group of 6. We were seated promptly, and greeted by a very efficient and well prepared server. Everyone in our party thought the food and service were excellent. The gaspacho, which had just returned to the menu, was cold crisp and delicious. We had not been there in quite a while, but will make a,point of returning soon."

"I have been to Brooklyn Cafe from time to time over the years. Considered it more italian flare food. Was pleasantly surprised last weekend when I went with my husband. We both enjoyed the food. Prices reasonable. I enjoyed it so much I took my daughters back on Tuesday for my daughter's birthday treat. (By the way have not received my points for this)

"AS always, the food at the Brooklyn Cafe was outstanding and the staff very welcoming and accomodating. The only drawback was that the weather was rainy and chilly and sitting on the enclosed patio was uncomfortable and crowded. If you are going to spend that much money on food and beverage for a special occassion, you want it to be perfect. That being said, we will go back many times in the future, but maybe the off-season patio situation could be improved."

"The place is small and with the tables set the way they are, the wait staff kept hitting my boyfriend's arm when they walked by. Even with the barrier over the door, the cold air came in every time it opened. We had the the artichoke appetizer which was very oily however, the smoked salmon was very good but a little dry. The short ribs were under seasoned and dry. The seasonal vegetable plate was very good though."

"I am a regular there. For this night, I was treated to their special (that wasn't on their menu); it was Shrimps and Scallops with long beans & coconut rice on the side. "The food is excellent, but the service isn't stellar. We ordered an app and entrees, and the 2 came out mere minutes apart. We even asked if we should order them separately, which shouldn't even need to be said out loud. 2 minutes later, our table is packed with food. He was nice about it, but it's unacceptable to make your guest choose between eating in a rush, sending the food to dry out under a heat lamp, or requesting new entrees. We chose to eat in a rush. When the food got cold halfway thru, we decided to pack it to-go and order dessert. Oops. There were 2 choices: chocolate cake and key lime pie. Really? To each his own, but that seemed pretty boring so we passed.
