"We were celebrating a friend's birthday on this visit. Instead of sitting in the main dining room we were in the small room, often used for small parties, by the entrance. It was great. There was one other table for 2 there with us. Ron was our waiter and since we are somewhat regular customers, he knows us. It was a delightful lunch."

"The food was delicious. My favorite part, though, was watching my 90+ year old grandmother try mussels for the first time. And one of the servers was very attentive to her every need, which I'm very appreciative of. But back to the food. We also had the sole special and the crab cakes, and enjoyed both immensely. I liked that we were offered New York beers and wines, which we tried and enjoyed. This helped make our visit for a family wedding that much more enjoyable."

"Always consistent as far as food. Ordered a glass of merlot, did not specify a brand but assumed it would be a "house" selection. Unfortunately, ordered a second glass. They were $15.00 each which was unexpected....my friend ordered a white zinvendel which was $9.00 which is more reasonable. So I was not happy....for the restaurant week 29.95 special, the wine was $30.00 for 2 glasses. Felt ripped off by the server.....oh well."

"This was my first visit and it was disappointing. Pizza dough was flavorless, fig syrup on pizza was very sweet. Waiter did not mention the daily specials (we heard other waiters do so).
Overall the staff were barely friendly, from the maitre'd who seemed grumpy and the staff who brought the food without speaking, not what I would expect at a neighborhood eatery."

"I took 2 guests for a lunch when Sam's was sponsoring a special fund raising event for Westchester Children's Assn. The owners are great supporters of local charitable organizations, and they handled the crowds so graciously. The food was as good as always. "From the moment we walked in the Sam's had a very warm feel. We were expected and shown to our table immediately. The waiter went over the menu with us and offered the evening specials. We order from the Prixe Fixe and regular menu. I want to note that although Sam's is American Cuisine the offerings were both unique and delicious. They also had additions to the prixe fixe. The food service was nicely paced. Everything was absolutely delicious. The best Beef Tenderloin I have ever had. Will definately return and recommend to others."
