"BB Kings was a destination we visited several times during our Memphis visit. Musical entertainment was top notch! Food and drinks good. A bit cramped seating but once the music started, it didn't matter. Service was slow on our visits but again, the music was a good distraction. If we lived in Memphis, we'd be there every night. Memphis Jones and The Kings Beez...excellent!"

"Go to BB King's Blues Club for the music not the food. Beale Street has some great restaurants that serve great food, and BB King's is not one of them. Additionally, you have to pay a cover charge to eat dinner! Absurd."

"I was there for my birthday and I was excited about going to the restaurant had reservations but when we arrived we were able to come in earlier to eat due to the fact we were headed back home on the road so it worked out perfectly! "The service here was a little slow, but we had read that here first so we were prepared. The food was good the band was awesome, depending on time you go there is a cover charge just to go in and that pays for the band. Which both bands we saw there were absolutely awesome. I definitely recommend BB King's place but order a few drinks at a time. It can take a bit for them to get back to you."

"We were going to be 10-15 minutes late for our reservation. I called the restaurant to let them know and was assured by the girl on the phone it would be no problem. when we arrived they had given our table away and we were told we'd have to wait for the next available. I explained that I had called and let her know what I was told. The girl was very nice about it, asked us to wait at the bar and seated us probably within 5 minutes. Our waiter was outstanding and as always the food was great. The Memphis style ribs are phenomenal!!!! Overall a wonderful experience."

"I won't bother using OpenTable reservations again. Here's our submission to TripAdvisor.
We booked our reservations to the BB King Blues Club weeks ahead and they were confirmed by email to us. When we arrived on March 26, we found out that the restaurant had given away our table to another party of four - despite the fact that the table had a reservation sign on it with our name clearly written on it. Initially, there was limited response and there was no doubt that the staff were hoping we would just go away. We did not want to have the four guests in our place moved as they had already started their dinner and after some back and forth and some shuffling around, they found us another table"

I think you should not charge people eating. if not eating a meal i can understand charging a cover charge. if you want to improve wait time and turn tables for bigger profits i think you should have a seperate area for people that want to eat and another area for people drinking. i seen tables were people were sitting for 2 hours and didn't eat any food."

"Unfortunately when we got to the restaurant they had no record of our reservation we had made on the restaurant website through Open Table a week before. The lady told us we could wait for 1 hour for a table. She wasn't very helpful and verged on rudeness, however the other lady who took our name was pleasant and within 30 minutes we had an excellent table upstairs. We were glad we stayed as the Allstars were fantastic musicians and put on a great show, the food was quite good, and the service we received from our waiter was excellent. Not sure what happened with our reservation. We never received an explanation even though I ema8iled the club to complain."

"My reservation was not honored - it was as if my Opentable reservation never existed. Simply put, they fill tables as fast possible without regard for existing reservations. They should ditch the idea of making online reservations if they have no intent of actually using them. Also, we went over 45 minutes without seeing our server after we got our food. She walked by 6 or 7 times and refused to make eye contact, and the live music (which was very good) kept her from being able to hear us."

We have dined up=stairs at Itta Benna many times with no cover charge. If there is going to be a per person cover charge there should be a notice on the Open Table site.... When we arrived for dinner we were not treated well and we decided to leave and dine else where. They were busy and didn't need our business!!!! I was sad and frustrated after spending 15 minutes finding parking and then having to get in my car and go find another place to eat...."

There was a $5 cover charge per person ( we came st 8pm) anf we waited an houre for our food.

"Although it's not posted, the music starts around 7 during the week. If you get there early, there's no cover. Food is not exceptional but it's hearty. Fried chicken is authentic Southern fare and the beer is cold. A great intro to Memphis sounds at the top of the entertainment district on Beale. (The one in Vegas doesn't hold a candle to the original!)"

"We took some out-of-town guests here and it did not disappoint! We were seated upstairs with a great view of the band. The music was lively, but not terribly loud. The fritter appetizer was amazing, the ribs were fall off the bone delicious and the service was good. I highly recommend it!"

"THEY DIDN'T HAVE ANY HAVE ANY RECORD OF MY RESERVATIONS THAT I MADE ON INTERNET BUT THEY DID LET ME IN IN A TIMELY MANNER, SERVICE WAS SLOW. HOWEVER THE MUSIC WAS REALLY GOOD AND IT WAS ENERGETIC ENJOYED IT OVERALL. WOULD RECOMMEND IT TO OTHERS JUST BECAUSE IT IS AFTER ALL BB KINGS."

"It was are first time in memphis and at BB Kings. The Will Tucker band was awesome, our food was great our server was very personable and prompt in waiting on us and the atmosphere was very lively and entergetic. We recommend BB Kings to anyone going to Beale street in Memphis. We are already planning a trip back with friends."

"Great music, average food, poor service. My chili was basically a bowl of seasoned grease. It took 90 minutes for us to get our food. We had some great meals in Memphis but this wasn't one of them. I won't eat here again but I might go back for the music."

"We ordered drinks, and they left the booze out of my dates dring, it was just blue water. Then our food came, and the pulled pork was cold. I was expecting blues music, but instead there was a guy playing a guitar. The music would have been fine, but was very loud, and was in no ways blues. Many people where I work have asked about our experience, and I tell them it could have been a bad night for the resturant, but I could have flushed my money down a toliet and had a better experence."

"We visited on Valentine's evening 2013. Blues band was great - food was mediocre at best. Very disappointing. Had appetizer, main courses & dessert - nothing worth talking about. Service was also a disappointment - took forever to get our food, and it was barely warm by the time the waitress brought it to the table. Go for the music, not the food."

"The food was good, cooked very well, but not outstanding for sure. I thought it was over priced for what it was. Dinner for 2 with a 40.00 bottle of wine was 250.00, food should have been outstanding for that.
They put 20% gratuity on the bill, did not like that at all, very disrespectful. For that reason I will never go there again, nor would I recommend them to anyone."

"No band was playing at the time I ate there, and you call this a blues club? The ribs were lousy as were the portions. My son said the tri tip was dry as well as not too pleasant too consume so we walked out after not finishing our meals. For the price I'd expect a bit more healthy portions. Lousy food, no live music playing, I don't see how this establishment survives. Had much better food at Rendevous and the the music was live at the club right across the street as well as a few others. I loved Memphis and will be going back real soon, but not to BB Kings."

"One thing left out was live music. We chose Memphis because of the "blues" music and especially B.B. King's Restaurant. No live band on the night we visited. "Big Jeff" our waiter made up for it with his wit and charm. I will go back because of him...also the ribs were the best we've had! The next night we went "ribbing" again. This time to Corky's. B.B. Kings' ribs win hands down!"
