"I've been to this restaurant twice now for two very different occasions and both times provided me with a great experience. The setting is excellent for a cute date where you want to get fun drinks and talk about wonderlandesque stories; or for just a general hang out celebration where you can talk, drink, unwind and cheer for your baseball team on the big screen. The staff was also very accommodating. We started outside but got chilly and they made the transition very easy and I didn't feel like that obnoxious picky customer."

"Had a nice brunch here 5/19/2013. My first time here. Crowd was young, mostly, and it seems Mad Hatter caters to a 20something crowd most of the time, with the kitchen accommodating adults at brunch. Not that that's a bad thing."

"My fiance, our son and I went here for Mother's day brunch. The food was very good and service was rather quick. Which may have been because it wasn't that busy there. I especially enjoyed their $12 unlimited mimosas and the spinch artichoke dip was the best I've ever had. The only thing I was disappointed about was the fact that they didn't have a condensed menu for our 4 year old son. I suppose it is to be expected being that it's not really a family establishment. Overall the food and service were great. I would eat there again."

"Went on Mother's Day for brunch. The brunch menu is just OK, but I did not like the potatoes that came with our brunch meal. I felt like they were sitting a little too long waiting for someone to order them! The Eggs Benedict was good and our daughter had the egg sandwich made with Krisy Kreme doughnuts instead of bread and although she ate it all, she regretted it afterwards (because of the calories!). Our waitress was very attentive, the Bellini's were good and I like the look of the restaurant. Very charming. All in all, not a bad experience and we lucked out and got street parking outside the door. That is not likely going to be case on a Saturday!"

"We went for sunday brunch. Our open table reservation could not be found despite the confirmation I showed them. Our food came out piecemeal and we had to remind them/ask several times for the side of fruit, the missing toast, etc... Food was drab and egg disshes were small. Would not recommend!"

"Limited outdoor seating, but if you can snag a table it's great! Service was a little slow outdoors but all the servers were super friendly. I would definitely recommend this place. Im even having my birthday party there next week, hopefully outdoors!!! If you cant tell I love eating outside :)"

"With the warmer weather, the outdoor dining was open even for morning Sunday brunch. Although the waitress seemed inexperienced, she was friendly and attentive. Both the eggs benedict and crab cake sandwich were tasty and well prepared with excellent home and french fries, along with unlimited champagne and mimosas, it is a great deal in a great location at Dupont Circle."

"Went there for brunch with a friend. Solid food, but nothing outstanding. Had the Eggs Alaskan and she had the Eggs any way you want with bacon and hash browns. Server was generally very good and attentive. Ambiance is nice for brunch and the interior with it's high wooden ceilings is great to dine at."

"Loved the tea service to start. Service was a little slow but worth the wait because the food was quite delicious. We had pulled pork nachos and shared a pasta dish --both were delicious. Music was a bit loud, and the back room wasn't very quaint, both otherwise a very nice meal."

"Good food, service was a bit lacking - we had to hunt down our waitress and when she came to our table, she left without everyone getting their requests in. The resataurant wasnt full, it just seemed short-staffed. She was gracious to split the checks up. Only one stall in women's WC was working. We waited quite a while for the food, but when it arrived it was hot and tasty."

"Considering I LOVE Alice in Wonderland, this place was lovely to come across on the internet when searching for places to eat one weekend in March when my boyfriend & I were visiting from New Jersey. I recommend making reservations because when we got there for our 1:30 res. it was packed! We were seated quickly, but waited at the table for a good ten minutes before someone noticed that we weren't being served. From there on out, our server was quite attentive & came back plenty of times to refill my (champagne-heavy) mimosas! My boyfriend ordered the Eggs Benedict (like he always does when we're out for breakfast/brunch) & he said they were some of the best they've had. My waffle was pretty good too, I must say. Definitely going back!"

"This is my second time dining at this restaurant just to see if it can redeem itself. I was even more disappointed the second time around and will never return. The only good part about the whole experience at mad hatter is being able to get a table on time with our reservation. After that, be ready for a long.... long wait. We didn't have a waiter until 20 minutes after sitting down and the water and drinks came after another 20 minutes. Our food didn't come in until 1 hour 20 minutes. We were not updated on what's going on during that whole time. The waiter did apologized for the long wait and told us the kitchen is backed up. The burger that I got is not any better than one from McDonald or bk. I would stay away from this place."

"The menu was boring and limited and the food was fine, but I could have made something just as good at home. Our waiter was very good, but it was freezing inside the restaurant. I would probably find a different place to eat at for future dinners out in DC."

"The atmosphere was fun. We were seated right away when we arrived. Our waitress greeted us soon after our arrival and took our orders. The drinks came quick, but the food took about an hour. During our wait for our food the waitress hardly ever checked on us to see if we needed refills or to update us on the status of our food. The waitress also didn't bother to check if anyone needed anything after our food was delivered to us by someone else. My food was good, but a couple of individuals in our party received cold food. When we told the waitress about the cold food when she brought our check, the explanation was just that things were really crazy in the kitchen."

"We came for brunch on daughter's reccommendation. She has been before. The food was good. The service was terrible. It was 1 pm on Sunday. As we order the waiter told us certain this were out of due to Saturday's big brunch crowd. You couldn't get additional supplies if you knew you were out? Also, getting coffee, or water or anything was a hassle, and we were seated near the bar."

"My group went to Madhatter for brunch on our last day of our DC trip before heading to the airport. After spending hundo's at almost every restaurant during the trip, it was nice to get to a restaurant that offered good food for decent prices. I even splurged and got the steak and eggs, which was still less than $15. Can't beat that! The other stuff on the menu looked good too. My friend got the pancakes and they looked great. On our particular day, it was not crowded at all at 11:15. By the time we left it was getting a little more crowded but still not bad. I would certainly recommend this place. One complaint: my friends that got coffee said it wasn't very hot, but it wasn't a huge deal."

"Was in DC for a conference and met my daughter who attends college locally for dinner. We thought this was going to be just a good "burger and a beer joint" but we're pleasantly surprised by the very professional service and the wide menu choices. We had a very nice dinner and although not a gourmet dining experience, this was an all around nice local bar with some excellent menu choices. Our waiter was friendly and attentive. The food was properly cooked and very tasty."

"Madhatter is a go-to brunch scene in DC. You cannot beat the $10 bottomless brunch and they have a delicious menu to accompany the mimosas. I have only ever been here for brunch and recommend it for groups or smaller parties. Make sure to reserve a table, the wait on the weekends can be long."

"We wanted a simple dinner and ordered a crabcake sandwich and club sandwich with fries. The sandwiches were tasty, however, the fries tasted like they had been laying around for a while. Service was reasonable, however, the food took a bit too long to make it to us which was confusing since there were just a handful of people in the dining room. I would look for other options before returning here again."

"Great find in DuPont circle. We went for a business lunch and were the first ones seated when they opened at 11:30. By noon the place was hopping, and the atmosphere was great and lively. Food was good and fresh...better than I expected from a pub. This place is great, has its own charm, and serves good food. I will be back....for happy hour next time."

"Easy metro access. Good food - nothing too exciting however. Noticed the all you can drink Mimosas stopped as soon as the bill came even though we continued to eat and talk for another 30 to 40 minutes after that. We would probably go back but want to try some other brunch spots in that area to see if they are better."
