"The menu has changed. The menu online was the old menu when we checked. Dishes need to be replace because they had old food stuck on them. Meals contained items requested left out. Server not attentive. Had to chase him down to replace my water. The appitizers use to be great, now slim pickings!"

"I have had lunch here about a half dozen times in the last 6 months and each time I am amazed at the specials which are inventive and well-priced. I recently had a chorizo flat bread pizza with fresh mozzarella and fontina cheese, and onions and it was wonderful. I try to save room for dessert and go with the sorbet selection. Service is usually very good and if you need to get in and out in an hour, that can easily be done. Cost per person ranges from $15 - $30."

"Seems like a local hangout for those lucky enough to live in downtown Chicago, meaning past 8 on weekdays there are a lot of empty tables. I can imagine on the weekends this place would be packed, it's very spacious and the bar is centrally located. Staff was friendly and helpful, menu was for the most part predictable but everything was excellently prepared. Great beer and an overall great experience."

"A new menu seems to have disrupted the kitchen significantly. Two entree salads took nearly 45 minutes to arrive and I thought they must have gone out to a field to pick the fresh strawberries for the shortcake dessert. The Asian chicken salad was fine, not spectacular. My friend's spinach salad with shrimp was good. The shortcake was good, again not spectacular. The restaurant did not have the popular Bento Box available because the kitchen was so disrupted by the new menu. Really quite surprising for an established restaurant."

"Decent selection of fairly standard sit down lunch fare. They did however remove my go to Cuban sandwich from the menu. I did not have the bento box this time but it is usually pretty reliable. In general avoid the tacos unless you are a spice phobe, as they have almost no spice to them.Seems like the food was better and the place was busier in the past."

Bill arrived and we were charged for appetizer Server removed charge but when we got home I realized there was an additional charge for $8.00 for something named La Terre(?)that we never ordered or received. Tipped close to 30% but feel what I overpaid/ (overcharged) puts a sour note on the experience."

"I had a great experience at Primebar. There are very few good spots open for dinner in the business district, which is full of lunch places. Primebar had great ambiance and delicious food. The cocktails were delicious, the appetizers came very quick, and the food was delicious. Good portion sizes and very reasonable prices, especially for the Loop.
Our server was friendly, and even gave us a free appetizer because it was our first time visiting. We had a 6:00pm reservation and made it out in time to catch our 7:30pm show at the Cadillac Palace theatre down the street. This is a great place for after work dinner and drinks, or for a pre-show dining experience."

"Happy hour spots in the loop are sometimes hard to come by, especially after going to the same places every time. Primebar is definitely one of the best places to grab a beer after work, catch a Blackhawks or Bulls game with colleagues, or go for dinner when on the run. Part of the 4 Corners Group that only makes good spots, so food is high quality, servers great and a good atmosphere. Definitely check it out"

"I went to Primebar to have lunch with a friend who works downtown. We made a reservation and it was probably very good that we did - the restaurant was pleasantly busy. Since it was our first time dining there, the waiter offered a complimentary appetizer or desert. We chose the beer mussels and we weren't disappointed. They brought a huge bowl of mussels and they were delicious. For food, I ordered the BBQ Pork sliders and my friend ordered the pork tacos. He said that he liked it a lot and I enjoyed the sliders as well. The sliders were huge though and it probably wasn't necessary to have 3 of them, 2 was enough for me. Overall, a great place for lunch downtown."

"We had a client in town and he asked that we go somewhere casual. There are not a lot of decent places in the loop, but a friend suggested Primebar. The ambience was nice, there was a broad enough food selection that we didn't have to worry, my dinner was good (sesame ahi tuna), and there was a decent selection of beer and wine. It was a good choice."

"PrimeBar offers interesting and usually good Bento Boxes for lunch. The most recent box contained rice/chicken mixture, small salad, vegetable and delicious (and strangely large) chocolate dessert. Service is good but the restaurant is so packed during lunchtime that the wait staff are not as attentive as would be preferred. The noise level is high, making conversation difficult unless you are lucky enough to get one of the booths."

"If I had to come up with one word to describe the food it would be "fresh." The salmon tasted like it had been caught that morning, the vegetables like they'd been picked that afternoon, and the French fries like the potatoes had been peeled 2 minutes before the fries were served to me. My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our dinners."

"In my opinion the best spot in the Loop for lunch, especially to talk business. Noise level is fine, servers are prompt courteous, attentive and know the menu. Menu is inventive and varied. Specials are interesting. I frequent Prime Bar and have never been disappointed. In the summer the outside seating is great. Its far enough away from Wacker that the street noise is limited. Head and shoulders above its loop competition. Recently had several work associates there and they too were quite impressed."

"The decor was fancy, but it was full of inconsistencies with its visual theme. For example:
They were playing teeny-bopper pop music.

"I have been to Prime Bar a number of times over the last few years. The atmosphere is essentially a professionals' lunch/bar spot. The food is fine - nothing spectacular and the service is usually good. On my last visit I had a reservation for three people at 1pm (right after the lunch crowd) and surprisingly had to wait over 15 minutes for our server to notice us. Once she finally took our order things went smoothly from there and she gave us a free appetizer (after we asked for it). I will be back again since Prime Bar is a nice place to hit up every once in a while."

"Generally, the food is very good here, but the service is rarely, if ever, up to par. On this particular occasion, we had a reservation but had to wait as long for a table as if we had not made a reservation at all. The hostess, who apologized, promised to "comp" us an appetizer to compensate us the wait, but she never told our server, and we thought it would be bad form to mention it. No one ever followed up with us. This is not unusual. The staff, in general, seems stressed out and spread too thin. If there is management or ownership on the floor, I've never seen them, and I am in here quite often. This could be a really great place, but the indifferent management keeps it one or two notches below reaching its potential."

"I work in the building next door and this is definitely the go-to place in a 2-3 block radius for business lunches and after-work drinks. And for those two things it fits the bill nicely. However, for a big dinner there are so many good steak houses in the Loop/River North that it don't know if I'd go here."

"Just met a friend for dinner. Cute place, good vibe. Sat us at a VERY small table in the back (felt like we were seperated from the rest of the restaurant. Server was barely engaged. Didnt seem knowledgeable of he menu. Slow to bring everything.
Calamari was very dissapointing. ALmost like Calamari bites. The Tempura shrimp app was good. And the Pork taco I highly recommend.
