"A great feature at Bridget's is their small plates option. I had two seared sea scallops with delicious corn salsa; my two friends had a small crab cake with accompaniments. This allows you to have soup (a delicious mushroom bisque) or dessert after (bananas foster and chocolate chip bread pudding). Service was very good and drinks are always excellent. They have a very nice bar area with seating by windows. Bridget's never disappoints!"

We had the "best butcher for 2" and the meat was one of the best we ever had.
We had a great night, but it was a Friday night, the bar was crowded and really too noisy.
After our 10 first minutes seated we were still wondering whether to stay or leave because of the noise.
Then our cocktails arrived with appetizers and the fun began...
I highly recommend this place to people looking for excellent food but probably a weekday will be a little quieter."

"We've been enjoying Bridgette's since the day it opened. Unfortunately, Saturday's meal may be the last time for a while. With three poor dinners in a row, it will be some time before we go back. My dry-aged steak was incredibly tough and flavorless. My wife ordered the usually reliable short ribs, but the sauce was disappointing the the meat was dry. We can understand a missed night, and with a good history over the years, we would have chalked it up to a bad night. However, I cannot remember the last time I had a good steak here. Is it a change in the quality or just a run of bad luck? Too many options in the area to find out any time soon."

"At the end of each school year, I take my college-age son out for the meal of his choice.
That usually means steak, and while Ruth's Chris and Morton's are good, we've already been that route.
I was looking for something new, so I went online to see what was in the area. Once we saw Bridget's Surf n Turf Butcher block for two, the choice seemed clear.
As soon as we saw Bridget's, I knew we had made a good choice; first thing Brad said was, "Hey, this place looks really nice!"
Very lively bar scene, friendly and accommodating staff, excellent neighborhood atmosphere. And, the Surf n Turf was amazing!
I'm coming back to try the prix fixe menu....or maybe some of the small plates....so many yummy choices!"

"I've been to Bridget's many times but my visit this past Sat. was not up to par.
I thought our waiter was unattentive. My lamb chops were sparse, overcooked,surrounded by a small puddle of sauce.
In the past I have really enjoyed the chops but they were really lacking....I should have sent them back!
I guess this was just an off night."

"We've gone to Bridgets several times and have experienced spotty service before but Saturday hit a new low. Reservations were for 7:30, so it was peak dinner time but our waiter simply abandoned us during the meal. And for the first time, the food was only ok. Appetizers were blah, the entrees were ok and the deserts weren't very good. The atmosphere is very energetic, but got so loud we had to yell at each other to hold a conversation."

"While the food was very good. The staff was very unaccommodating. We wanted to have a drink at the bar with our friends but was told we couldn't because the 'table needed to turned over'. We sat there after dinner for quite a bit and was not rushed to leave and the table next to us was empty for most of our dinner-so what was the rush? Also, I asked the waiter if i could switch out a side dish as was told no. This is the first time anywhere in any restaurant that this could not be done. NOT accommodating at all. Very Disappointing."

"We had a very good dinner. We started off with salads(Caesar and Wedge)that were very good. We both had steak that was cooked perfectly as we had ordered. Our waiter was excellent and our food came out very quickly.
We had a table in the front room by the windows. With the doors closed, there was not much noise. Anywhere in the bar area is very noisy.
Bridgette's, being in Ambler, is in a perfect location for diners outside the city looking for a quality meal. The food is very good, though the ambiance is not quite 'steakhouse'."

We were celebrating a birthday, and had the dining room pretty much to ourselves during most of our meal, which we enjoyed. Timing of food totally off - barely finished salad and entrees were out. For two people the bill was $150.00 - that is a lot with no dessert. Not a good feeling to pay that much for a dinner that was racing to get us out. Food good, not great too. Messy presentation - seemed everyone is in a hurry there."

"No one left hungry, but it aint cheap. No drinks and bill with tip for 5 was over $300. All the Apps (Caesar, Spring Rolls) were very good and for Dinner table had a variety of Short Rib, Steak, Chicken & Rack of Lamb. Desserts were forced because we were stuffed, but very good, especially the carrot cake. Only downside was the room was a little cold and a few my guest had their jackets wrapped over their shoulders. No one bothered to ask or offer to adjust the temp and it was not that crowded. Service was very good."

"Bridget's is way overpriced. The only reason we went there was someone had given us a gift certificate. We ended up spending a small fortune, even with the gift card. I will not go back. It has a reputation for being way too expensive and not worth the cost."

"We are never disappointed at Bridget's. The seared scallop starter special was delicious and unique. The crab cake is always amazing. Most notable this trip was our server: Becky C was fantastic. Friendly but not too chatty, alert but not intrusive. A great server rounds out a positive experience at a restaurant. Thanks, Becky!"

"I never had a bad meal here..the food is outstanding. It's nice to have an upscale dining experience in the suburbs. Great wine list, interesting cocktails and the service is great. Perfect for having a drink @ bar with friends, romantic dinner, or group dining. You won't be disappointed!"

"I have been to Bridget's many times and have always had a pleasurable experience. This time I brought three business clients with me and they all enjoyed the ambiance, service and especially the food. The specials were great, and the wine list was extensive while being reasonably priced. I would recommend Bridget's for any special occasion."

"We went to celebrate my moms 70th birthday. When I made the reservation for a Sunday night, they failed to inform me that I had the option of BYOB. We were also seated at a table by the windows on Main Street. It was cold and the noise from the bar made it hard to have a conversation. It was St. Party's day, so it was a bit excessive.
The food was very good and so was the service. I would definitely recommend to anyone. Great neighborhood steak house.!"

"Nice restaurant. Not sure why they market as a steakhouse as the fish is great. Had the butterfish, perfectly cooked, well accompanied and excellent presentation. Would certainly return. Service, though a little scattered. Young, inexperienced wait staff that probably needs some training and prompted to become a little more knowledgeable of the food and beverage offerings."

"Our recent trip to Bridget's was a very positive experience. We ordered from the Price Fix menu (available weekday's) which for $29.00 per person is an exceptional value.
Starters were crabcake and flat bread pizza both cooked and presented well with a very good taste profile.
Entrees were salmon and tenderloin filet both cooked and presented perfectly. Sides were also good except for the green beans that came with the filet which were too heavy on the garlic. (This minor issue was the only flaw in the meal)
Dessert was Bread Pudding and Banana's Foster. Both done well.
Please do not expect a "quiet" evening as the noise level is robust.
Also note the free Valet parking is available during the week"

"We went here for our anniversary and could not have been happier. there were more peope than I expected for a Wednesday night but noise level was good and the staff was very friendly attentive. And of course, the food was amazing!! My one and only complaint was I wish there had been more appetizer options that did not include pork or shellfish. I love great food and trying new things but I don't eat either due to religious reasons."

"First the positives: Our server, Gil, was superb. We had an elderly woman in our party and Gil was vey patient in explaining her dining options.

We were only a little surprised by the small serving of tuna (even though this was not a prefixe item), what shocked us was the sparcity of rice. She called Gil over to tell her the chef forgot the rice. Gil said it was beneath the tuna. It was almost comical to watch the two of them try to find the rice!
Bottom line: My 98-pound wife walked out of the restaurant hungry. That never happe"

"The food and service was great. However, the noise was once again was extremely loud! This was our second time at Bridgets since the the first time we were there it was absolutely deaf defying. We truely had to shout at one another to be heard. We were told it was due to being the first Friday of the month, there was a band that was playing loudly. So we decided to try a Saturday night. While we did not have to shout, we still needed to yell over the bar noise even though we were seated in the dining room. It 's a shame since the food is excellent and the service is very good.
It will be awhile before we go back (if ever)."

"We had a great dinner with good friends, we were on the front porch, there was a group of about 12 who were very loud and disrupted the rest of us in the room. Management should have asked them to quiet it down a bit....other than that our meal was excellent!"

"The food was good - not excellent but good. I had the surf and turf. The steak was delicious but the stuffed lobster tail was dry and not very good tasting. I did not hear anyone else raving about their meals but most liked them. On Friday night they have live music in the bar area - which was packed. The noise was so loud from the bar it was difficult to hear each other speak in the dining room. A definite negative for dining on Friday night. The big plus was the waiter (he was a french gentleman don't recall his name) he was very accommodating with our party of eight and gave excellent service. Overall a nice evening."

"This was our second visit. Our first was back in December to celebrate our 30th Wedding Anniversary. We had such a great time that we decided to go back to celebrate my husband's 55th Birthday.
The food and service were really outstanding. We had the calamari appetizer along with two of the martini choices. We both had the individual surf and turf special and followed up with dessert and specialty coffees.
The only negative was the noise. We were seated in a table in the bar area and really had to raise our voices to hear each other. I would definitely go to Bridget's again but honestly, not if I had to be seated in the bar area. Back in December we were in the dining room and had a much better experience."

"We went there on a Sunday evening and had the set menu (from 5-6pm most nights). The apps were flatbread pizza with wild mushrooms and balsamic drizzle (yum!) and crab cakes (my husband enjoyed those). We both had the beef tenderloin (I inhaled it) and bread pudding for dessert (my husband really liked it. I am used to more moist bread pudding but that is just personal preference). It was still tasty.
We went to celebrate V-day. It was really reasonable for an upscale restaurant and the quality matched the price. Would definitely go again even for a regular dinner."
