"My husband was reluctant to try an Indian restaurant, but I watched him devour his dinner and pronounce it "Delicious!" We all tried diffferent chicken dishes at a moderate spiciness level and the flavors were complex but not hot. Don't miss the chickpea appetizer; it may sound ordinary, but it certainly was not, and the waiter says the type of preparation changes frequently and that it mirrors various regional Indian preparations. We were celebrating a birthday and the staff went out of their way to makie it festive. A warm and inviting atmosphere and dining that expanded our food boundaries--it made the birthday dinner a special experience."

"Amazing restaurant with absolutely amazing food. When we go, we ask Sonny to design a menu for us and we are always left feeling as if we've had a wonderful culinary experience. They also have a great mixed drinks menu and if you go there, try the Snake Charmer. It is a different but very successful take on a margarita. I can't talk about this restaurant enough...we only go for special occasions, but I wish I could there every weekend."

"Wow! I reluctantly went to this restaurant after some coaxing from the husband. I've tried Indian food on several occasions and have always walked away disappointed but not at Lehja! The flavors and quality of the food was fantastic! Delicious! We will definitely be eating there again. Soon!"

"This was another great meal at Lehja. I love the decor but more importantly, the food was outstanding. I enjoyed the chicken biryani and my husband had the lamb chops which were wonderful. For drinks, I recommend the Princess of Kashmir. Delicious!"

"Because it was Valentine's Day when we visited, the service was too fast. I'm sure they were trying to push folks through to make room for those to come. Our appetizer and salads arrived at the same time. We had not even finished our salads when the entrees arrived. We were in and out of there in less than an hour....so much for a romantic dinner. The food, however, was outstanding!"

"My wife and I have been looking for a GOOD Indian Restaurant and we finally found an EXCELLENT one but alas, it is 215 miles from our home in NC. The lunch we had made the drive worth while as did our visit to the VIRGINIA MUESEUM of FINE ARTS which, is the reason we were in Richmond.
Whenever we get near Richmond we will make it a point to stop at Lehja. Also, they are located in an outstanding Open Mall Shopping Center as well."

"Lehja will soon be the hot spot for modern Indian dishes in Richmond's West End. The menu is packed with delicious options spanning the entirety of the sub-continent's highly varied culinary traditions. Their wine list is extensive - most are only offered by the bottle, but there are five to ten reds, whites, and sparkling options by the glass, too. The owner is friendly, knowledgeably, and will offer recommendations on pairings if you ask. The first course and deserts should not be skipped. I highly recommend the seared scallops as well as the desert coffee with honey-cardamon infused pastry!"
