Panini’s Trattoria A Taste Of Italian Comfort Food in Old City, located right across from Benjamin Franklin Court, this tiny and cozy little restaurant with an unpretentious look offers you great food at a bargain price, from Panini, Salads, Appetizers, tasty in House fresh Made Pasta and Main Courses like New York Steaks, Veal Chops, Chicken, Fish and Sea Food, to go with succulent desserts made in house and Cappuccinos, Coffee, Espresso, Hot Chocolate to a complimentary glass of Wine, at a very reasonable price. And by the way, this is a B.Y.O.B. place.
"The restaurant is on Market which is easy to get to by cab or Septa. It is a BYOB so they told us there was a wine shop on 2nd St. We were immediately sat and made welcome with friendly service. The atmosphere was old Philly/Italian. There were many unique dishes and specials to pick from. The homemade tomato fettachini with chicken was delicious. The prices were reasonable and we would go there again."

"I love this place, the staff was friendly and attentive and the food was perfect for the price. The only thing I was bothered with was the loud obnoxious table behind us which was a large group of twenty somethings acting like twelve year olds and couldn't use their inside voice. The restaurant was quaint and very sweet as was the staff and it is well worth the annoying guests."

"I want to start off and say that the service was good, no complaints on the service or the establishment. The food on the other hand is what has provided my low score. For the appetizers and soup/salad: chicken vegetable soup tasted and smelled of feet, Calamari was excellent but for $12.95 we received about 10 small pieces, bread, if that is what we can call it, was so stale and hard and wasn't even delightful to eat or use to dip into sauce, which is one of the best things of going to an Italian restaurant. For the main course we had Safood Risotto, Gnocchis in a Gorgonzola sauce, Chicken Parm and a salad and not many complaints could be said on the food, it wasn't bad, but nothing ro rave about."

"Unpretentious little neighborhood spot...but warmly decorated and tidy looking. The food was well seasoned, fresh and light. I had chicken Marsala which was just sweet enough with lots of mushrooms , mashed potatoes and a lovely side of flavorful thin sliced zucchini . The sauce was a just right reduction... Very tasty . Not, as in some restaurants, a thick, heavy ,overly sweet brown gravy. The servers and hostess were so helpful and charming. And a bonus is that you can BYO wine. Walking distance to Independence Mall and Hotel Monaco."

"I was very happy with the location, and access. The menu had many choices and we ordered off the special pasta menu(farfelle and shrimp) which was a real value, included soup or salad.Pasta was delish. Funny was my Mom ordeed a creame brulee and we knew when we both tasted it they had forgotten the sugar. They took item off the bill and gave us a free dessert for later. My Tiamasu was homemade and yummy. Very enjoyable dinng experience. Server was very nice and attentive."

"Our second visit to this quaint eatery was very pleasant and pasta entries were delicious. Wednesday evening is pasta night at Panini's and there was an extensive selection which was in addition to the regular menu. Soups were very good and although we did not have salad, the ones being delivered to other tables were ample and fresh looking.
This is a BYOB establishment but an offer of a glass of chardonnay or sangria was available with your dinner.
Included among the early evening diners were City tour guides dressed in colonial garb, which only added to the ambiance.
Would definitely return - highly recommend."

"This night was a very slow night, so the restaurant was preparing to close. However, they went back to serving their delicious bread rather than those bread sticks. Farfalle al salmon is one of my most favorite dishes in the whole wide world and only Panini makes it the way I love IT! worth the trip."

"Bread was sub-par. They should switch to a crusty better bread. Mushroom soup was salty. I would add a touch of cream sherry to it. My main course was very good -- eggplant dish. Did not have dessert. Service was good and they got us out in time for the theater."
