Lewy's Nines - River City Casino
With a respectful and decidedly playful nod to King Louis IX of France, this irreverent and elegant retro-twist on the classic ‘50"s diner features a more fashionable edge to the traditional diner look, plus a menu of café classics sure to satisfy comfort-food cravings for breakfast, lunch and dinner, seven days a week.
Black alligator-skin counter stools line a unique curved countertop in the 110-seat dining room, complete with traditional vinyl booths, tables and chairs, where guest can indulge in classic breakfast skillets, fluffy Belgian waffles and pancakes. Or, enjoy delicious lunch and dinner offerings ranging from homemade soups, “big salads” and hearty sandwiches to traditional spaghetti and meatballs, crispy fish ‘n’ chips, and chicken pot pie. Featured menu items include 1904 World’s Fair favorites, such as meatloaf with mashed potatoes, and Wiener schnitzel.

"The steak was excellent, the baked potato could feed a family of 4! Seemed like it took a little long to get our food, but maybe that's because they don't serve dinner rolls or bread while waiting."

"The food is excellent and I have been there many, many times BUT no matter when I have been there, from breakfast to dinner the service is very, very slow. The servers are always nice and pleasant, but there is always a wait, unusually long wait and it does not matter whether they are busy are not the service is always consistent, slow. I would never plan on eating there if I had an appointment to get to, it is not a place you want to go if you are in a rush....but again the food is fantastic and portions are hugh."

"My wife and I,and another couple have been going to Lewie Nines for breakfast for several months. We have never had a bad experience. The food is excellent and prepared to our expectations, and is always delivered in a timely manner. We plan to continue having our Sunday breakfasts there. I would recommend Lewie Nines to any and all people."

"We were there to celebrate our son's 21st birthday. It was very good, but I was a little disappointed they don't do anything special for birthdays. We were also disappointed because they didn't have the appetizer we wanted, and we were looking forward to it."
