Every day we strive to bring the freshest most thoughtfully grown ingredients to the plate. We demonstrate our respect for nature and those who passionately tend to it through well crafted food that is presented simply. Our menu is written daily and is derived from a wide variety of products that are brought to our door by dozens of small growers. This menu concept allows us to purchase in small quantities, reducing waste and ensuring freshness. Cutting in house gives us the opportunity to use every part of the ethically and sustainably grown animals we choose. We do our best to approach each day and every ingredient with curiosity and wonder rather than expectation. "I am so glad that my mother and I ventured out to Waconia for Terra. I love the fact that it is a farm to table restaurant and that it has a smaller menu that changes regularly. If we had to live in restaurants, this would be my dream place! The service and ambiance was wonderful. My waiter was extremely informative (and smelled great, too!). And the food, oh the food. It was incredible. I loved the addition of spring produce. I think it is safe to say that I will be back again soon!"

"Love the concept of this restaurant (farm to table) and was very excited to try it. Overall the food was good - nice taste combinations and well thought out offerings for a changing daily menu. Things preventing me to give an excellent rating: very over-priced for local ingredients (unevenly cooked and tough steak for $30+), inconsistent portions (tiny Shepherd's Pie was not entree size) and lack of information from waitstaff for each dish (blackboard not visible at sunset due to glare). Not completely disappointed but not eager to return on a repeat basis."

My son, his girlfriend and I thoroughly enjoyed the perfectly prepared roasted cauliflower, flank steak, salmon and goat entrees. I feel that if 18 year olds recognize truly freshly prepared food then think of how many more people could be experiencing Terra in Waconia and make it their next dining destination favorite!"

"This was our first experience and it was amazing. The food was definitely the star. The menu changes daily but for reference, we have pulled beef nachos as a starter - A+. We each had a salad- mine featuring pork belly and my husbands had fresh local chèvre. Both were delicious with a great mix of flavors. For our main courses, we selected rabbit with gnocchi and flank steak with steamed carrots and Brussels spouts. Again, wonderful flavors and great pairing of ingredients. The meat was cooked perfectly as well.
The atmosphere is great for a date night and the staff was attentive and knowledgeable. We will be back again and again!"

"We had been here before and the food knocked our socks off. Do we brought friends along this time. But we were disappointed. The flank steak was so tough it was nearly inedible. And my husbands fish lacked seasoning. I loved my spinach citrus salad and he loved his soup but dessert was not great either. I don't know if we will be back."

"Terra Waconia was a wonderful surprise! The ambiance was intimate and inviting, the concept of local sourcing was appealing, and the food was out of this world! Between 4 guests we tried a broad variety of dishes and each one was better than the last (A!+ on lamb bolognese and pork shoulder). The presentation of the food was eye-pleasing and the menu options unique and interesting (try the Duqqa). To find such a pearl nestled in a small Minnesota town was an unexpected delight. Our server was personable and knowledgeable and enhanced the experience as well. Can't wait to return!"

"My husband and I dined at Terra recently by the recommendation of a coworker. We live south of the river, and non chain establishments with really good food are hard to come by.
I was prepared to pay more than usual for a dinner out because I value really great food and Terra did not dissapoint. We started with the roasted cauliflower, which had a wonderful crust,and was well flavored without being too oily. I ordered the lamb, which the server explained that it was a Moroccan seasoned cous cous with a braised lamb shank. It was incredible. The lamb was cooked beautifully tender, and seasoned well. I thought it had the consistency of beef, with the rich flavor of lamb, but not overpowering. My husband had the mahi mahi,which was great."
