"The food was fresh and the presentation of the food was appealing. I had skewered shrimp with vegetables which was colorful and spicy. Two others at our table had the pork stuffed zuchinni which was artfully presented on the plate. The two in our group who had stiffed zuchinni said it was tasty, but did not have enough pork."

"Great food. Love the outdoor dining in the brief window of time that outdoor dining is feasible in Austin :-) The servers were a bit inattentive, but that maybe because we were a party of 8."

"We have always loved Manuel's because the food is consistently good. Our reservation was for 7:00 on Saturday night and even though the restaurant was very crowded, with people waiting outside, we were shown to our reserved table immediately. Then, we got menus and gave the waitress our drink order and she did not come back for another twenty minutes. When she did finally return, she apologized and said the bar was really "backed up." Sensing our unhappiness, she went and got the two soda orders herself. Five or more minutes later she appeared with a glass of wine and then on her third trip back she brought our limeade.
The waitress was nice but waiting 30 minutes to get your drink order completed is totally unacceptable."

"The young girl at the front desk was snobby to us on valentines day. Waitress took forever to return, sat us outside in a bubble that was either way too hot or way too cold. Not be best experience at a restaurant."

"We had a large group and were looking for a place to celebrate National Margarita Day. Manuel's came up on Open Table as the closest location and the only Mexican restaurant in the area. We were 5 minutes away and had 45 minutes until our reservation. The staff were very friendly and seated us early. The margaritas were average priced and well made. Our waiter was attentive and accommodating and the food was excellent. Several ordered a rellenos dish and none were disappointed. I had enchiladas bandera with steak and it was delicious. A few desserts were ordered and the flan was the best. The chocolate bread pudding wasn't very good, but I am used to a very different take on the dessert.
Overall, we had a good experience and enjoyed it."

"A bit loud, but seems like most restaurants are these days. The food was really good. Staff was good. My margarita with chile piquin was delicious! I had a great steak. Yep, I ordered a steak at a Mexican food restaurant. The goat cheese and chile sauce swayed me. The steak was tender and cooked as ordered, medium rare. The sauce was not as pungent as I had imagined. The queso hors derve was good but nothing to write home about. Again, ranter bland with good cheese. Hot sauce - NOT. Tasted like Veracruz sauce, not hot. Tasty, but not spicy. I guess I could have requested a hotter sauce. I will next time. Overall the experience was good. There were 9 of us and seemed to enjoy their meals. Authentic campechana. Tasty shrimp"
