Madre
Madre, a "bring your own wine" bistrot. Since my younger years, I learned to eat everything. The best part of all was the discovery of delicious dishes from my mother, who cooked with love and surprised us each day with meals that made us ask for more! MADRE will be a restaurant where I will remember my childhood and these dishes; I will share it with you and will give you my interpretation by keeping this powerful feeling that my mother have while cooking for her loved ones
"Belle ambiance décontractée. On ne sent pas entièrement l'influence latino américaine dans la carte. Peu dépaysant. Nourriture néanmoins très bonne et expérience agréable."
"I went for brunch last Sunday. The food was good, but not incredible. It's a good thing my friend and I both have small appetites because the servings are pretty skimpy. We shared a tortilla with chorizo sausage and a nutella 'burito' (it was basically a crepe with chocolate filling, strawberries, caramel and a bit of lemon curd). Both were pretty good. The one thing we loved was the purple corn lemonade. Now that's something you don't get to try everyday! Overall, a nice neighborhood place to go for brunch. Not too expensive, though people with normal appetites would perhaps need to order an extra plate. When we arrived it was pretty empty and quiet but by the time we left things were getting quite loud (fine by me, I like livelier spots)"
Special Features: great for brunch, neighborhood gem
