"1st time there, but familiar with the type of restaurant. Used to dine at one in Houston years ago, so thought why not for my wife's birthday. Along the genre of big steaks and large portions steakhouse with the addition of great service, great tasting steaks (enjoyed outstanding ribeyes) and onion rings. Service was the star with a super girl from Kauai (sorry, but bad with remembering names!). The prime steaks were fabulous, well flavored and seasoned. The potatoes and onions sounded like a great accompaniment as explained to us as 'sorta potato chips with caramelized onions' and they were. The unique combination of crunch and sweet onion flavor was different, but great! The onion rings were also tremendous."

"I had come to Del Frisco's once, about a year ago & had a great meal, but this time around, my friend & I had the best waitress ever. Her name is Mindy and she was friendly, informative & never rushed us. We had a blast & she chose the best wines for us, the best dessert too. She was incredible and added to my great experience:)"

Review 10 for Del Frisco's Double Eagle Steakhouse - New York City
"Del Frisco's used to be my favorite steakhouse - good location, good steaks, fun atmosphere, great wine list, even a pre theater prix fixe. I had a couple of bad experiences a few years ago but went back last week hoping for a comeback. Unfortunately my experience was a repeat of what turned me off - I asked for a fillet medium -pink throughout- and steamed broccoli cooked to be soft. Of course the steak came cooked well and the broccoli hard as a rock. It all was redone but the pacing was destroyed. Our great waitress was relentlessly trying to boost the check and did ( that prix fixe is gone!) -My husband ordered an $85 lobster tail that was sadly chewy and relatively tasteless. At $300 for two we have better options than this."

"You have to ask for this "special" as they don't advertise it.. That I think is unfortunate. For $50 you get salad, fish or petite filet mignon, and dessert....excellent deal. Steak is not great but good but again for the money - excellent value... But remember, you have to ask for it."

Review 15 for Del Frisco's Double Eagle Steakhouse - New York City
"Del Frisco's Double Eagle Steakhouse occupies two floors of the McGraw-Hill Building on 48th Street and Sixth Avenue (the street tourists call "Avenue of the Americas"), 1 block from Radio City Music Hall. The entire place is impressive -- towering picture windows, giant floor sconces, and lots of dark wood. The wine list is extensive, but make sure you check the prices carefully before ordering in order to avoid blowing your next two paychecks on a single bottle of wine! The menu is fairly simple, with representative choices of both steaks and non-beef entrees. I ordered the ribeye, and I can honestly say that not only did they deliver it at the perfect "medium" doneness, but with the most perfect seasoning I have ever tasted on a steak."

Review 16 for Del Frisco's Double Eagle Steakhouse - New York City
"My mother and I have been coming to Del Frisco's for years now. We come to the city together at least twice a year and always try to find time to have a nice, long lunch together. The service is always phenomenal and we feel taken care of by the entire staff, not just our server. I usually get the bone-in filet, which is the best steak I have ever had. The management checks in with every visit to make sure we are enjoying ourselves, which we never have a hard time doing while having such a lovely meal. I highly recommend this dining experience. It is well worth the price!"

Review 24 for Del Frisco's Double Eagle Steakhouse - New York City
"This was the only dissapointing evening in my stay in NY ! This is not NY : when we came in , the noise struck me , no ambiance , it felt like entering a Mc Donald ! First we get a bread : if the drop it to the ground , it bounces back ! The starter calamari was to sugared ! The positive part was the meat : the meat was very good , but frence fries to greasy . The most astonishing was the wine : they have a great winelist (although too expensive) ; but than they put your Barolo on the tyable in the bottle : no decanting at all : unbelievable !! It took the wine at laest 30 minutes to get its flavour ! For me , never again !!"

Review 28 for Del Frisco's Double Eagle Steakhouse - New York City
"I have dined at Del Frisco's several times and it's always great. My friend and I both had the steak salad for lunch it was cooked perfectly. Mine was medium rare and his medium. The waitress checked with us when she served us to see if the steak was done to our liking before she left the table. The meat was tender and juicy and the salad seasoned perfectly. They certainly do steak the right way."

"We thought the service and food was excellent; steaks, salads, lobster mac and cheese and the desserts. It is very loud and the tables are very close together. I have a feeling they put "Open Table" reservations at certain less than great tables because the last time we went we were seated at the same table and it was very crowded. It is a quality meal but if you are looking for quiet relaxed dining you might look elsewhere."

Review 30 for Del Frisco's Double Eagle Steakhouse - New York City
"I'm a big steak lover so I've been to many steakhouses around the city. While I like many (old school - Keen's, Old Homested), and new (S Prime), I decided to try a hood I usually avoid for dining and went to Del Frisco's. I was expecting a decent meal, but I ended up being really impressed. We got to the restaurant early, had drinks at the bar, then dinner. The interior is elegant, but not stodgy, no cigar bar feel here. The service was very good, attentive but not too. We had the Strip, and the Porterhouse, with au gratin potatoes, and the maque choux corn. The sides were both excellent but the steaks? A home run. Just terrific. Perfectly cooked and seasoned, no steak sauce required.
Caveats? No dress code. Too many hoodies, sneakers, etc"

Review 32 for Del Frisco's Double Eagle Steakhouse - New York City
"Del Frisco's is a place I would recommend for special occasions. It is quite expensive, but everything they do is great. They do not skimp on portions or service. I took my husband there for his birthday and we were given great seats, with a view of Radio City Music Hall. The staff was very attentive from the busboys, to the waiters to the Host who was working the floor making sure everyone was doing well. Our steaks were done perfectly, and the side dishes were incredibly decadent and mouthwatering. My cocktail at 16 dollars seemed expensive, but when I got it, it was huge. We will definitely go back to celebrate another special day."

Review 33 for Del Frisco's Double Eagle Steakhouse - New York City
"We went for dinner pre-theater, let our waiter know and he got us in and out with plenty of time without our feeling rushed. We had a table at a window facing 6th Ave; was fine for us. Bar was loud and lively --- it's a steakhouse so pretty much what you'd expect. Prime rib on the bone was first-rate; seared tuna was a hit for our guest; would definitely go again..."

Review 34 for Del Frisco's Double Eagle Steakhouse - New York City
"An outstanding restaurant. As an avid prime-steak lover this was far beyond any prime steakhouse I have ever been. The entire table of meat eaters agreed too! The best steak and side dishes from start to finish. Outstanding service, atmosphere, and location. Can't wait to go back on our next trip to NYC. Our waiter mentioned that a DC location would be opening in the months ahead...............can't wait to go! DC Prime Steak Lover"

"Wanted to take a good friend out for a quiet conversation. Asked for a "quiet table" on OpenTable and we were seated in the back away from all the noise. Food was very good. Recommend the Steakhouse Salad ... a bargain at $21 and the perfect portion size. Waiter was very helpful with wine recommendation. No doubt, I will be back. Thank you."

"I brought 6 clients and we all had a great dining experience! The staff was attentive, the ambience "New York lively" and the food was excellent. We ordered a variety of steaks and each was perfectly prepared. The sides were tasty with creative twists on traditional steakhouse favorites. I have been to this location before as well as other Texas locations and there is a consistent high quality among each location."
