"Well we have eaten here before a few times on our own but was introduced by attending a party. this last visit was the most disapointing visit we ever had. It was 5:30 not so busy on a Monday but our servver was slow and took 30 mins from when we were finished to get her back to our table for the check. Someone else came to box our left overs. My dinner was a little salty on my chicken marsala and my husband had the meatballs and were a little dry/bready? Over all it was ok but not anything like we are too to receiving when we come to Fletchers. It will be a while we consider returning."

"It was raining and we were out on the screened porch. It was chilly and their heaters were not giving off any heat over a broad area. Heat was very localized, where no one was sitting. Their "roof" (canvas) leaked and the eave troughs did whisk the water away. The troughs have holes in them and water dripped through, sometimes on the patrons. The food was very good, however. my hash browns were over cooked. Our waitress was still in training and after being introduced promptly forgot about us and her mentor had to take over. This was not the usual experience we have had at Lord Fletchers. I hope they fix their leaks and make sure the wait staff is up to the task before putting this on the payroll full time."

"We eat here periodically for date nights. Food was fantastic this time like usual. Love the walleye and NY strip steak! Good ambiance and nice views. Brought our kids for the first time. Kids meals were just OK. They charged an extra $3 for kids soda even though it didn't say it on the kids menu. Annoying! Won't bring our kids again. Service is usually stellar, but was a little slower this time, especially waiting for the bill. Overall, this is a still a favorite place of ours."

"Even though the weather didn't cooperate we had a wonderful dinner with the view of the lake. Our meals were all delicious, especially the famous walleye! We were even treated to a mud pie in celebration of our anniversary! We'll be back when the weather warms up and we can sit outside!"

"Food and wine has gotten a little expensive for the quality. Salads and appetizers are dull and uninspiring as are the main courses. The walleye remains a classic but otherwise the food is the kind you can find anywhere. Wine list has been drastically scaled back over recent years. Food is a-la-cart at the restaurant. Overall solid place to eat but not a great."

"Anniversary dinner with the Family. Waitress never took drink orders. Wife's food had to be sent back. The house special Walley was very bland. Both people who ordered did not like it or eat it. The prices were extremely high for quality. I would say come in the summer, eat burgers in the deck and enjoy the lake. Do not waste your money on dining in the resturaunt. Very disappointing."

"New menu should help with last-minute reservations. I heard two other tables ask the waitress about the menu and they were making excuses for it. Trying to be a downtown steak house instead of a regular dinner spot for locals in the main dining room. $25 for a walleye filet and half a lemon - Everything else is up-charge. Hopefully they don't try that for the outdoor menu, but they did save the Early Bird where you can get a salad."

"The food was excellent. Lord Fletcher's is not configured for a large crowd in the upstairs dining rooms. The room we were in was so packed you could barely walk between the tables. There was no direction to the buffet line. Please didn't seem to know exactly which way to go through the line. I thought the dessert table was less than notable. Nothing that was really memorable. A good, traditional Lake Minnetonka standby and you can alway count on the food."

"We went for a family birthday dinner (party of 6) ~ had reservations for 5:00 and ordered off the "early catch" menu. It was absolutely delicious! The house salad with sunflower seeds and creamy dressing was fabulous. Three of us ordered the New York strip and it was done to perfection, so tasty! Two of us ordered the famous au gratin potatoes and 1 the baked potato -- even the baked potato was out of this world. The others ordered walleye which they said was very good. Dessert was creme brule, a definite must! Service was very good -- they did forget to bring the mushrooms but once we asked again, they brought them promptly. Can't wait for another birthday!"

"We enjoyed a lovely dinner to celebrate my mother's 76th birthday. The food was outstanding, and we had a great choice of early dining specials, prime rib, vegetarian options and dessert. I like that we had a view of the lake even though it was frozen. It was quiet enough for my hard of hearing parents. I have the feeling it would be a whole different scene in the summer."

"As always, we enjoyed Fletchers. Had the pork chop special, which was wonderful. We don't usually order pork as we prefer it rarer than it is typically cooked, but this was perfect. The rest of our meal was good too, with one exception. They had as a special vegetable a winter squash casserole, that, even with asking them to omit the marshmellows on top (ick), it was still terribly sweet. First couple of bites were great, but then it got to be too much, especially when combined with the creamed sweet corn and the sauce on the pork and bison steak. For once, we felt no need for something sweet after dinner!"

"Lord Fletcher's is a cozy and warm spot with an old lodge atmosphere on scenic Lake Minnetonka. The fireplace was welcoming, the martini perfect and the service was professional and friendly as usual. My Walleye was as fresh as if it were caught minutes before and very tasty. The Caesar salad was crisp and well flavored and the

"We loved every part of the dinner at Lord Fletchers except the price. We used to go there often years ago but hadn't had the opportunity in recent years. Without the Groupon giving us $40 worth of food and drink for $20, we wouldn't have been able to afford it. Even with the Groupon we split a dinner (which was food enough to even bring some home) we still spent well over and above the Groupon value.
It seems a little ridiculous for the lowest price wine on their list was $9 per glass.
Everything else was great."

"When we got to the restaraunt we were seated immediately. The server took about 10-15 minutes to finally get to give us menu's and our drink orders. I saw the server helping people that were seated after us. She was nice, but our water was not filled promptly and she was pretty slow at serving us in a timely fashion."
