The Santoro Family has been in the food service industry since 1988 through Frankie’s Beef & Pasta in Oak Lawn and Frankie’s Catering and are now excited to introduce Frankie’s Ristorante. From our robust Tuscan style Pork Chops to our homemade ricotta dumplings in a divine light tomato basil sauce to our decadent imported Italian desserts, we strive for perfection in our kitchen and have raised the bar high for our service standards. Our customers are guests in the Santoro Family’s home and our purpose is not only to make them feel wined and dined but also pampered. Our chef - born, raised and schooled in his homeland of Italy and with experience in some of the most renowned fine dining establishments in the US and Europe, has found his passion in life in cooking and has brought this passion to each one of his dishes. He maintains a consistent authenticity which has won us rave reviews in the local news media as well as a following among our guests.

"When my wife and I arrived we were greeted warmly by the hostess who than proceeded to sit us at our desired location .our server Giovanni was fantastic and the food was as good if not better than any Italian restaurant I have been to in Chicago or New York.the ambiance was old school with frank Sinatra playing in the background.the owner Frank was fantastic and we can't say more about our experience there.we went back immediately after our first night just to try other items on the menu that we were dying to try the previous night.I would recommend Frankies to anyone looking for a wonderful night out."

"Servers were on-spot, not too much yet always present to swoop in take care of matters, timing was perfect. All our food was excellent, everyone thought theirs was the best and wanted to share with others. My Sea Bass was delicate, light, tasty, truly the best I have ever had. We split desserts for a great sampling, I never had such great crème brulee. Reasonably priced and definitely worth returning. I wish I knew it has been there for 5yrs already."

"This was our 1st time & it was excellent! The outdoor dining with all the flowers & decor was beautiful. We had the grilled octopus & sausage & peppers for an app & it was superb. I had the frutti di mare (pasta w/seafood) & my wife had the sea bass special & she said it was the best she ever had. Frankie the owner walks around & greets all his patrons. He is a nice young man. I was shock to see this young man as the owner of this environment. We will be back for sure!"

"I visited this restaurant for my 6th wedding anniversary; The atmosphere and service were great and romantic. However, it was pricy IMHO. My wife had the Linguini sea food mix and I had the rabbet stuffed pasta for entree; we had the octopus for appetizer; non of which I think were great but very good non the less. The desert, however, was excellent and tasted great.
Overall, it was a very good experience and I would visit again but will be careful on what to order to stay below $80."

"My wife and I are regulars here because of the food and service. the family that owns it always makes a point for one of them to stop by the table and see how everything is going. This time we had a new waiter and the owner came by after dinner for our personal feedback on the service. This attention to customer satisfaction is one of the reasons we are regulars. The other is the food. Frankie's always has different daily specials that make it hard to choose which to order, seafood, meat, risotto, and pastas that the chef creates. This is a local gem that I hope lasts a long time."

"Frankie's is new for us. We have been there twice so far. We LOVE it - the owners are wonderful and friendly. They stroll from table to table making sure we are completely pleased! Besides the menus, their specials are the best and I advise them. We had Red Snapper, uniquely prepared, Stuffed Peppers, Chicken Vesuvio and Chicken Marsala to date. We will be trying much more in the near future and we will have every special occasions there. My parent are elderly and the only thing I would recommend is the lighting is very low , so bring flashlights. We love great bread - Frankie's does need help in this area. But, that is not imporant in the big scheme of things. We rate this our Number 2 restaurant of all our current Italaian Restaurants!!!"

"Let me just start by saying I'm such a foodie. This place is outstanding. I live in Frankfort about 15 min away & came here for the 1st time & was not disappointed! My girlfriend & I split the seafood risotto for an appetizer, which was out of this world. Then for entree, I had the sea bass which was not fishy at all & tasted so good! My friend had the pappardelle pasta in a cream black truffle sauce which was one of the best pasta dishes she ever had. We were so full for dessert so we just had coffee, but I'm sure they are wonderful also. A young man was going around to all the tables asking about their dining & was very personable. Later finding out that it was Frankie himself. We will return!"

"This reservation was for our 32nd wedding anniversary. All previous experiences at Frankie's were outstanding. About 20 minutes after our arrival, we had drinks & bread and the power went out. The waiters came around with candles expressing optimism that power would soon come back on. They did their best to keep us posted, telling us the food was almost ready when the power went off, shouldn't be much longer etc. The waiter kept asking do you want another drink-might as well take advantage. We had one soda & 3 glasses of wine over the hour & half we were there. By 8:00, we decided to give up. The waiter brought the check, $23.50 for four drinks. We thought that at least one of these drinks might be on the house. What a disaster."

"Our evening here was wonderful! The staff is exceptional & the food is phenomenal! My husband had the Osso Buco & I had homemade rigatoni with a wild boar bolognese which were both outstanding! We had the grilled octopus for appetizer & it was so tender & good. We had tiramisu which is different from typical but very good! "The food was not spectacular but a good value for the price. the veal marsala was somewhat bland. The marsala sauce did not have the ususal sweetness accociated with the dish. While the veal was tender, it lacked a marsala flovor.
My wife's lasagna was also bland. It had a lot of tomato sauce but overall it was unremarkable.
The service was good the ambiance was also good."

"Our food & service here was outstanding. I love the decor in this place, it reminded me of Tuscany. Our server was outstanding in recommending everything. We had the mussels & app special to start off (best mussels I've ever had) we both had the Frankie's salad. My husband had the short ribs over risotto & I had the seabass. Both out of this world. We were both greeted at the table by the owner who seems to make his way to all the tables which was very nice. We will be back!"

"Food was excellent. Been there several times and have never been disappointed. TIP... If you want a quiet meal, don't go on Wednesday night unless you call ahead to confirm. We went on a Wednesday and did not know it was 2 for 1 pasta night. Great deal for young families, but we would have chosen a different night . More kids and babies than usual and it was quite loud. There was also live music which was nice if not for the expressive young children near our table. We will definitely be returning for the excellent food and table service..... just not on Wednesdays! See you at Frankie's!."

"We came here for this first time & were VERY impressed. The buona sera when you walk in, to the Italian server who served us! We started with the clams & mussels which both were GREAT. For our entree my wife got the seabass which she said was best she ever had. I had the short ribs with the risotto. EXCELLENT! We finished of with a créme brûlée & tiramisu. Loved it all! Great food, service, & the owner Frank is a really nice guy! We will return!"

"This place is always outstanding. I love coming here. We started off with the eggplant rollatini for appetizer which was amazing! I had the Osso Buco which was the best I've ever had & my wife had the homemade pasta with a bison bolognese which melted in your mouth. We were greeted & checked on by Frankie himself. "This place was wonderful. I had the risotto & my wife had the homemade lobster ravioli. We had the burrata appetizer which was outstanding. We split a Frankie's salad which was very fresh & light! We had the tiramisu which was served different but good. The owner who is a young man walks around to all the tables making sure everyone's dining experience is great! Such a nice young man he is. Looking forward to come again. Make resv it gets busy quick."

"The service here is flawless. Very attentive without being obtrusive. Frankie greets each guest personally making you feel welcome. The food, especially the daily specials, is delicious. The chef always has something different on the menu. I had the gnocchi with duck ragu. It was very rich and delicious. My wife had the lasagna bolognese and said it is the best she has had in a restaurant."

"So I walk in this place as it was in a stripmall & it was a pleasant surprise. It was very busy in there, so I suggestion making a resv (hence me using OT). Our server was very attentive & made every special sound delightful. It sure was! From the apps to dessert it was all GREAT! Our server said they do 2 for 1 pasta on Wednesday nights & live entertainment. So we will come on a wed. & try again. We WILL be back."

"Frankie's is a great place for a date night or a family dinner. The food is excellent! Their bartender makes the best martinis. Service was friendly and spot on. The only negative was the teramisu for dessert, it was the worst I ever had."

"Been here numerous times and the food is usually good, but this nite it was fair. The 3 tables around ours all had food sent back. They really need to be more consistent with regards to the food."
